- We were actually on our way to go get coffee as Dr. Dog was unloading their van. "Hey guys, you want some coffee?" 6 cups later we were up in the Artist Relations room at Guitar Center Hollywood, setting up gear and trying to squeeze everyone in. If you wanted to be there, this video will make it feel almost as if you were.

I would play this song every morning that I opened my coffee shop. A few years back. Just pouring out the speakers. I had 30 minutes of absolute serenity before addicts came in for the kill.
Awesome picture painted. :)
I love this comment. As a guy that dreams of his own coffee shop and has been so serious about coffee to have a spreadsheet calculating extraction of his brews.
I've listened to this dozens of time over the course of years and it never gets old
I'm in my 20s and want this played at my funeral
I’m almost 20!
"...and our version is awesome." Lol
He's not wrong 🤷♂️
Man this just reminds me of being in quarantine. Forced me to look my addictions in the face and learn to love and be loved.
Man the way these guys played this gave me goosebumps, I've watched it so many times already🎸🥁 👏
Architecture in Helsinki is close to my heart and this is the best cover of anything I've heard.
So much better than the studio version. Not even sure how I discovered this masterpiece. That 3 part harmony is serious 🥲
This song gives me goosebumps.
You know youre talented when the original artist(s) ask you to cover their song
This fantastic completely and utterly amazing so much better the the original
The guy in the shades and red shirt seems like a pretty cool guy, he's really good at the guitar
Perfect!!!!!! Sooooo goooood!!!! Wow. New favorite band. See you in NY Sept. 14!!!! Wilson Soto. Will be there!
1:57 - Chills.
I so LOVE this song! inspirational
Beautiful
Saw this live last Saturday after it being my favorite song for years and I was not disappointed. I LOVE THEM!
Can't get enough.
This is one on those cases when the cover it's better than the orignal song
exactly what I was thinking.
Yeah,,,,,no.
I heard and fell in love with the original first, so I would have to disagree.
Both great songs, this is a stretch
Love this band.
This song is amazing!
Both versions are amazing in there own distinct way.
This cover is amazing !!!!
Your version is AWESOME!!!!!!
I love this
This way better than the actual song. I agree with Xavier for sure. I have def. fallin in love with Dr. Dog all of their songs are great and I love how they all take turns singing etc..
Dr. Dog's version schools the original. This is such a chill and smooth hit.
Ugh. Perfect.
Oh that's a classic. I first heard of it when Weird Al was talking about his beginnings. He's play his accordion on the street and his drummer would use his guitar case as a drum.
Damn these guys are really good!
The best version
makes me smile :)
I love this :)
the bass player in the studio version reminds me of Peter Tork’s playing when he’d cut loose. He’s one of my favorite bass players!
I remember the first time I heard this version I was singing along to the chorus and was like oh what this is a totally new cover of architectures version
Wow, that is good stuff. A fantastic job of covering a song in their own unique way (and I certainly think better than the original) while still maintaining the integrity of the orginal. Well done Dr. Dog!
I'm the 420th like .. yesssssssszzzz
definately the better verion... looking forward to seeing them in texas
I listen to this song every day, original blows
Boom dah dah dah dah dah
Boom dah dah dah dah
What? Toby's voice is amazing.
Great song
loving the briefcase kick drum
hell yes
the only cover of a song that i like
boom dadadad boom daqdadadadad
and they know it, too!
Go Pennsylvania!!!
the 55 second mark is the best... song is a rockin
This is the jam
El de sombrerito re onda Dylan, alta bandota
Steve Holt!
does anyone know what Scott is playing when he changes away from G and Em? I've never heard him play that part
Saw them play this cover a few days ago in concert. Great cover. The vocals on the actual song seemed a bit weird and too whiny and obnoxious. This Dr. Dog cover, however, is just pure perfection. I'm sorry but the original song just wasn't my cup of tea. Dr. Dog, YOU ABSOLUTELY ROCKED IT THOUGH!!!!!
The long haired GUY in the back with a blue hat & aviator shades looks so much like "JARED LETO" am I right people?!
Better than the actual song
the drummer looks like B.J. Novak
unitato king nah more like JonTron
KoiFever yeah a skinnier jontron without the goatee
He looks like the drummer for Adrian Belew had for the past decade. Wait...
Brilliant. But what it is actually about?
Buensimo! So i think that is spelled correctly. Hahaha
Slick can do a wheely on a unicycle
I didn't know Seth Green and Tom Hardy had a band!?!
I didn't know JonTron joined the group
HAHA good shit
Anyone know what material Toby’s bass frets are painted with? Regular paint, chalk, or something else? Trying to do something similar to mines.
this song gives me anxiety... in a good way
Agree better than original
Good
who are they covering? I thought this was their original song...
way better than actual song i cant even listen to the original its so annoying how did they think it was good thank god dr dog saved it
0:49 positive to exude
Артур Исмайлов absolutely
How so?
And we're slow to acknowledge the knots in our laces
Heart it races
And we go back to where we moved out, to the places
Heart it races
I bought it in a can, stirred it with my fingers, singing
Oom dada oom dadadada
Threw it out the window
Lately you been tan, suspicious for the winter, thinking
Oom dada oom dadada
Life's like little splinters
Life's like little splinters
And we're slow to acknowledge the knots in our laces.
Heart it races
And we go back to where we moved out, to the places
Heart it races
I sold it to a man, and threw him out that window
He went, oom dada oom dadada
Made his wife a widow
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Heart it races alone
Jk this is so catchy
I wish bands were still a thing.
What the fuck are you talking about...there's plenty of amazing bands making music today. Unless you mean live bands because of the pandemic, then I'm sorry.
I appreciate the next level hipster drum maneuver by playing on the suitcase, but no one is that cool
Are you Raven Simone?
but bad camera !
Lead singer looks like Ricky Martin.
someone turn up franks amp.
Ho ly shit
Why does everyone say this is better than the original? It's practically the same, just on less interesting instruments.
What the fuck? Seth Green? Lmao
I’m back 6 years later!!!! 🤟🏼
@@NoobSlayer52 Glad you're still with us brother.
@@foamer5490 still here brother?
@@NoobSlayer52 Always, brother.
sunglasses tho..
This version saved the song. If you don't think its better actually listen to the album version. I like the live performance but the album cover is better. The original song is so unbearable, I don't even listen to Dr. Dog so I'm not being biased.
For me and my band it's a staple when we go busking or play live. OUR version pretty suck too.
The Architecture in Helsinki video is better.
I ate a frog today and then choked it back up then had my vocal cords removed and drank acid and I can still sing better than your beloved Toby.
Like ew
This dude has a turrrrible voice.
If they asked you to do their cover... doesn't make your version better. To be honest, theirs is a million times better. Yours is not better at all. You can think that all you want.
+Lauren R
Dr.Dog is 1000 times better than Architecture in Helsinki.
+Thomas Robinson No. Not really. But thanks for your input.
expressing an opinion, then shutting down another opinion is probably the most ignorant thing someone can do
+Lauren R It may not be better to you, because you obviously really like AIH and that's just a genre that you find better than Dr. Dog's. In my case, for instance, the only good thing (for my taste) in the original version is the "boomdahdahdah" which is really cool, even though the rest of the song is a little annoying. Dr. Dog did a version of a song that is COMPLETELY different to the music they make and gave it their own style and it came out really good and they're proud of it, even got their fans to give AIH a listen, doesn't that seem alright to you? Of course there's gonna be fans of each genre that don't like the other's version, no need to be arguing about it with your precious time's all I'm saying.
+Mason Cato Yeah, out of all the ignorance in the world, that is at the top.
Garbage compared to the original
I Robot garbage like your entire life!!!!!!!
You would not know good music if it smacked you in the face turd 💩 brain.
