New here. I very very very much doubt that Arenado will wear Pinstripes …..ppl might not listen to or pay attention to Jack Curry, how we I would suggest ppl do, he in reality works for the Yankees …… As for the Yankees going internal for 3B or 2B, I’d say is unlikely, what Cashmann says publicly and what is reality are two completely different things! The Yankees do have an 8th innings set up guy ….his name is Luke Weaver …..Williams is the closer…..the Weave dog will become the attack dog! If they add Scott (which I think personally isn’t high) then it’s a lights out Pen ….and I mean lights out big time! Ben Rice I will agree will stay meantime, Stroman they are trying to shift and the other piece I’d say they may well shift is Trent Grisham …that would be $23.5m ….they signed a minor league deal with an outfielder I think on the 24th who is a decent OF player which gives depth there and permits Grisham to be moved. You said in your last podcast that if the Twins moved Correa, the Mets would be the likely place in your opinion, I might disagree as somewhat like them signing Bregman, where is he gonna play? They aren’t moving Lindor from SS and if they put either Bregman or Correa at 3B then it’s bye bye the Polar Bear unless they are prepared to pay big big money for a DH. I can’t see that at all, I’d say their needs are more pitching and I just don’t mean starters either, they got lucky last year their reclamation projects panned out mostly …..to bank on that again, rather them than me! You can have a good, even great line up …..if you don’t have the pitching to match…..you ain’t winning even the NLCS far less the WS. I can’t see Montgomery coming back to the Bronx ….there is no space in the rotation, as there isn’t for Stroman and his contract is bigger to boo, so a one for one with Stroman, I’d say is unlikely, even if the DBacks eat the difference. I could have seen that or even a Cortes swap, had Soto been signed, now I can’t. Even if they traded Schmidt for a big bat, I could see them either going to the market or even knocking on the Marlins door for Pitching, which they might do for Nardy or if it came to it Alcántára, maybe even ask the Pirates about Jared Jones ……if Schmidt isn’t moved for a bat …..the rotation I’d say is set. As for the prospect I you mentioned, I assume you mean Lombard jnr, if so he isn’t coming up this year, well if the wheels fall off maybe (I very much doubt they will) if it’s not him then I don’t know who you mean …..Vivas isn’t ready (and I’d say is more likely to be a trade chip and neither is Arias and like Vivas I’d say he is a trade chip. The Yankees are not done yet …..they still need a lefty or two in the pen and I’m sure they will get another bat. Enjoyed the content, hope to catch a live at some point.
Love the comment and thank you for joining the Upside!! I agree w most of that. I really like weaver as a high leverage ace to use against best part of a teams lineup whether that’s in the 7th or 8th. That’s why I believe the biggest impact signing they can make outside of an impact bat at 3B is a 8th inning setup man to really make that bullpen elite. Still think Scott signs elsewhere but Yanks continue to be connected to him
@ I’ve been following baseball for a long long long time and the Yankees are always linked with top players ….they always will be ….I’d love Scott in the Pen for sure however I think due to the last threshold being all but reached, I’d say that likelihood is …..well slim. The Pen does need at least one lefty….who that will be I’m not overly sure, they will prob bring back Tim Hill, however they might look to someone like Nardy. They might even do something like they did in picking up Cruz …..the Yankees have all their chips still standing as such. There will be a plan, it will not be founder in the dark lol ….when they traded Durbin, they knew it was creating a hole ( if indeed he was going to start, which he well may have if Soto had been signed) so there would be a plan, I can’t see them going internal (I may well be wrong), it will just take time and “dealing” to get who they want. The Yankees have to offload Stroman, it should also be noted that any team taking him will be aware he has a vesting in his contract for next year ….if he pitches over a certain innings it triggers another year, thereby …..we’ll I don’t need to explain that, apart from saying if they don’t trade him, he is likely to be an unhappy bunny as he isn’t going to pitch overly much and may even go to the pen, which I honestly don’t see him being to happy about.

What are you talking about judge was protecting Soto that’s why Soto had a career year get your facts straight judge hit 62 without Soto come on guys
Tigers seem to be a better fit for Bregman than Red Sox
