New sub & SJ dethatch bro. Did mine a few weeks ago along with an overseed. We hit 78 yesterday so things are really starting to blow up. Was at the home depot and saw this dusty ass spray bottle of Revive. Looked like no one ever bought it, but I tried it and that stuff made a nice difference in conjunction with all the other work. Looking forward to seeing how your lawn turns out.
You might want to check your directions again. I believe you should be using +5 or +10 when using the rake attachment and -5 or -10 when using the scarifier.
Thanks for the comment. Now I think I will try my back yard using the different heights and make a video about the results. I will also post a video soon about the lawn greening up and up lighting. Stay tuned!
No one who uses this model that I've ever seen keeps that useless bag. We have it hung up in our garage as a storage bag, but it's not even remotely useable for the SunJoe as intended.
So I tested all the levels just to see how much debris I would pull up. I found that -10 did the best for what ever reason. The directions state you should rake at 10 or 5, but I found that -10 worked great. I also mowed the lawn really low before I used the Sunjoe. Thanks for watching!
Will you say the scarifier it is best to use it on the fall; when seeding the lawn, and the detacher using it during the spring to feed it Scott’s granular weed preventers?
I always power rake both in the beginning of spring and before I overseed in the fall with great results. I also aerate the lawn both seasons but I am in an area with heavy clay soil.
I would scarify if I had a ton of true thatch. Scarifying at seeding would be a huge benefit, but I would prefer mechanical aeration over scarifying. I am currently waiting on a lawn guy to aerate my lawn. I like to mechanical aerate in early spring and at the end of August before I lay seed.
How many Sq ft is the lawn that you used the detacher on? I am considering buying it and using it on a 7000sq ft property. Do you think it will overheat?
My lawn is roughly 7500 sq ft. No over heating that I noticed yet. Make sure you use the proper gauge extension cord. Works like a champ! Beats raking the yard for sure.
@@tmontemage22 if you are willing to do the extra watering and weed control, go for it. Grass is really resilient. Make sure to give it some good fert right after. Watch for weeds as you will be exposing the soil a bit. Or you can wait until you are ready to overseed in late August. If your grass is really getting choked out, do it. Thanks for watching!
I like the editing and the music
Appreciate you watching!
I will wait for your next video.
Coming soon
It’s crazy how after one pass the lawn looked much better. Looking forward to your future videos on the progress👍
Thank you. I have alot of projects going on right now. Will get more videos out soon.
Mine will arrive this Thursday. I'll try the chemicals, never heard of them. Thanks for sharing!

@@JasonWhitakerTheDIYDAD @BrokenArrow is right; the tines are only for 10, 5, and 0. Not recommended at -5, and -10 is ONLY for the scarifier.
Just got one for my father for his b-day, hope he likes it.
He will love the results! Thank you for watching.
Just got mine delivered today
Nice! Get to work!
How did you mix all the chemicals together in the dial n sprayer?
How much of each??
Thanks for sharing👍

If you would ever want to get rid of your bagger attachment for the Sunjoe I will buy it from you...

I will keep that in mind. I have never even tried to use it yet as I just use my mower to vacuum everything up. Thanks for watching!
New sub here I just dethatched my lawn last week with the sun Joe and sprayed some pre-emergant
Awesome. How was your experience with the sun joe?
What setting do you put on the mower when you pick up the debris?
So I tested all the levels just to see how much debris I would pull up. I found that -10 did the best for what ever reason. The directions state you should rake at 10 or 5, but I found that -10 worked great. I also mowed the lawn really low before I used the Sunjoe. Thanks for watching!
Did you mix all of the chemicals together in the dial n sprayer? Or apply one at a time?
All at the same time.
Can you provide links to chemicals you used?
