Love the idea of a screen capture of a text and send to email! Thank you for the reminder to review and consolidate the GTD buckets, I need to work on that!

For work (Social Worker), I've been using Microsoft ToDo, which syncs well between phone and web, and I believe an app on desktop (which I haven't installed yet).
At the top, I created a list called "Process this".
Within here I capture items that come into my head. Then, back at the web I can easily rename it into an actual action, and move it to the appropriate context.
Always nice to hear one of my first GTD coaches. I still have my DA notetaker wallet, circa 2007.
I love the 3 by 5 index cards from Dollar Tree, and integrate Dan Roam method maps onto them. I agree that sticky notes are not ideal -- the cards are easier to sort and stack.

Paul....it's so great to hear from you! 😊 I love hearing about the current versions of your GTD systems as you continue to refine them.

Great to hear that you like Braintoss - I'm a big fan of it as well. I'm using it to capture anything that takes place on my phone - be it a text message (Copy->Braintoss->Paste->Send), a link from an app (Open Share tray->Braintoss->Send), thing I'm taking a photo of in the real world or something I'm seeing on my phone screen (screenshot->Share tray->Braintoss->Send). In addition to text note or audio note, of course. It's a really versatile tool.

Hi Paul....thank you for mentioning the cross-functionality of Braintoss - text, microphone, or photo! 🙂

I understand the GTD Notetaker Wallet is out of production. (please correct me if I'm wrong) But I found a really useful thread on Reddit where folks have broken down all the components of it and where similar materials might be sourced from. I remember seeing an older video where David Allen showed the audience his wallet. I believe he was using a Fisher Space Pen (which I was reminded about on Reddit). Just ordered one for myself and can't wait to capture with it!

I would like to know how you take a photo of the text messages to send to email. Sounds like a good idea.

Hi Leslie, a great way to get pictures of your texts is to take a screenshot of your conversation using your phone and then send the screenshot to your email inbox through the sharing option in your photos app. Hope this helps!

Hi Leslie! I use the screen capture on the phone. I have an iPhone 6s which is holding the Sleep/Wake (side) button and Tome/touch ID simultaneously.

In iOS (iPhone) you can send and forward text messages to a contact. I have a contact called "Notebook" that just holds one of my email addresses. Any text messages forwarded to that contact become email messages to that address. With voice control of the phone I can say "Text Notebook" and voice a thought that becomes an email. So handy!
