I don’t 100% agree with the list but as long as Timeranger is S and Zyuohger and Lupat aren’t in the trash tier, I’m cool with it.

Impopular man-o That was the complete opposite of what I intended, I didn’t want Lupat to be in the trash tier. While I personally wouldn’t have put it in A tier, I’d definitely would put it as a low B tier.
Timeranger is S. But Zyuohger is D, the suits, the weapons & the mechas are Bad. And Lupat is trash or no.
Axel González I honestly really liked Zyuohger and Lupat. I know it’s an unpopular opinion to hold these shows in high regards, but I’d actually put them in B tier. While both shows are far from perfect, they still had a lot in them that I liked.
You need to watch Flashman asap, guys
This format definitely feels more satisfying because it's including your views on EVERYTHING; it's like combining the top 10 and bottom 10 lists for whatever franchise and then *a lil bit more*. Also because you guys can get more flavorful with the tier language.
Sun Vulcan is unfiltered Showa schlock reminiscent to 70’s Godzilla movies and I love it for that.
Announcing Timeranger's tier by way of their theme song just goes to show how awesome the opening is ❤🔥

Based on their review I thought it would be C or D Tier definitely better than most of the series from D to Trash.

My personal favorite 29 out of 45ish Sentai series split into 4 unofficial "Categories/Eras" that have different things to offer:
Secret Service James Bond Parody Era (1975 - 1984) [9] (This Era was geared towards adults but they founds adults weren't their biggest demographic. This era features a little blood, real guns, real hostage situations, real explosions, people actually dying/civilians actually getting hurt/being in danger. Villains don't spare kids in these series, they're actually evil. These series follow a more realistic Secret Service vibe. Goggle-V is the first to introduce the theme of an outerworldly evil empire (I think) that would reoccur in nearly every series from the Dark Era.):
1) Gorenger ('Spies' Funniest/Campiest, longest.)
2) J.A.K.Q. ('Spies') (Mildly serious.)
3) Battle Fever J ('Spies', funniest campiest. The pink ranger's stunt actor is a dude so there's some epic bulge shots of the Pink Ranger at times.)
4) Denziman ('Spies') (GREAT fights, hardest to find or watch series though, not fully fan-subbed yet.)
6) Goggle-V ('Spies', good shit!)
7) Dynaman (Police, this was the FIRST series to come to the US almost 8 years before MMPR. It was racistly dubbed over to make fun of Asian culture, and only 8 episodes were ever dubbed and aired in the US but it was enough to permanently damage Sentai's reputation or any chance at american audiences ever taking ANY of the then 20+ series seriously.)
Dark & Disturbing Era (1984 - 1996) [12] (My favorite! This era was DARK, utterly disturbing with humans meeting untimely ends from monsters in almost every series from this Era. Almost still geared more towards adults at this point, the rangers continue to be in their mid 20s instead of teens for this Era, and the evil empires from every last series in this era are some of the most evil, creepy, oppressive, and with the BEST designs/monster models in the entire franchise. The first era is good for a return to the origins, clean serious but campy story, a good drink or laugh but this is the Era you wanna watch for a genuinely enthralling time.):
8) Bioman (Dark, and one of my personal favorites!)
9) Changeman (Dark)
10) Flashman (Dark)
11) Maskman (2nd Darkest)
12) Liveman (Darkest by far! Personal fave!)
15) Jetman ("Secret Service" theme returns kinda, hailed as the Darkest and one of the most serious; However the fights, villians, monsters, and ranger costumes are less memorable compared to everything else from this Era, IMO.)
17) Dairanger (Dark, Martial-Arts, BEST fights/Choreography, creepiest villains/monsters.)
18) Kakuranger (Ninja, fantastic fights and story. Sexy goth skeleton rocker punk guy!!!!
Hey what about gogo v and time ranger?
As someone who's more into Heisei-era Kamen Rider, this was an incredibly useful comment. From what I gather, I think I would gravitate towards Jetman, Liveman & Bioman; with flashman & Maskman as strong candidates too. I also share your frustration regarding Tokusatsu shows going almost exclusively the way of silliness, cheap-looking toys as weapons and kinda relinquishing any other target audience that isn't kids. I actually never understood why this happened; when I was a kid I wasn't into "stuff for my age" but actually cool stuff like Robocop, Terminator and the 2nd Batman movie from Burton. I'm sure kids nowadays are even smarter and more cynical and I think most of them have migrated to shonen anime completely.
As an adult, I have only really enjoyed Kuuga, Agito and the first Garo the most. I'd put Blade in a well deserved 4th place and a tie between Faiz & Drive to complete a TOP 5. Despite trying, I never found another toku series that I could take somewhat seriously worth watching.
Sure, you have some noble yet failed attempts like Kamen Rider Amazons or the Garo sequels but those are truly exceptions in the sea of unwatchable toku. I don't mind goofier stuff if it's well developed but Kamen Rider Drive is my limit point as to how much goofiness I can deal with and that was made in 2015. I guess Zero One was quite decent considering what came afterwards.
Overall great list, but it's a crying shame that Go-Onger wasn't ranked SSS God Tier.

I don't really agree with your opinions, especially about Gaoranger and Gingaman but here i'll give you my list (the ones that i seen so far)
*S*- Magiranger, Gokaiger, Dekaranger, Jetman. (I'll never get bored while watching them)
*A*- Dairanger, Shinkenger, Go-busters, Timeranger. (serious and complicated, pretty good series)
*B*- Kyuranger, Boukenger, Liveman, Gekiranger. (serious and entertaining)
*C*- Gingaman, Gaoranger, Carranger, Kakuranger, Megaranger. (mostly entertaining and fun to watch)
*D*- Goseiger, Zyuohger. (might be rewatch them someday but i don't have a big liking on them)
*E*- Go-onger, ToQger, Kyoryuger. (Could be better but doesn't mean it's unwatchable)
*No*- Ohranger, Ninninger. (As i said... no)
*Trash*- Fiveman, SunVulcan, Turboranger, Zyuranger. (I was struggled and injured)

my favorite super sentai top series:
top 1: Gaoranger (Legend is legend...all children in Vietnam consider "GAORANGER" as their childhood)
top 2: Shinkenger ( When I was 12-13 years old, I saved my breakfast money to buy Shinkenger disks)
top 3: Dekaranger ( this is the 4th super sentai series I've watched...behind Gaoranger, Magiranger and Hurricanger)
top 4: Magiranger (i watched it with my childhood friend...after we finished watching gaoranger)
top 5: Hurricanger (the first movie that I bought CD)
top 6: Gokaiger (i watched it when i was in 6th grade...i met my childhood friend again after many years apart...we watched Gokaiger together)
top 7: Gekiranger (haizz...I watched it when I was in 8th grade (2015-2016), this is the last super sentai series i watched till now...then it was the era of phones and games)
top 8: Boukenger (I like it because their car is very similar to the one where my mom and dad work)
top 9: Zyuranger (i don't remember when i watched Zyuranger...i just remember i watched both the usa version and the japanese version)
top 10: Abaranger ( When I was a kid, I really liked the dinosaurs in this series)
top 11: go-onger ( not too much of an impression...but I still find Go-onger pretty good)
I’m glad that Matt, like myself, at least finds Gaoranger as an overall alright sentai show.

Go Onger is a season that often splits the audience in two for it's not taking itself seriously.
Gingaman has a weird fighting style. However...I loved gingaman. Thought the story was great. I will always think gogo 5 is the best. Best red ranger hands down
The story was fine but they wasted WAY too much time trying to revive Daitanix.
Alternate because the top 10s are fun but they aren’t always as accurate and this shows another nice interesting aspect to ranking

I like this & think you should alternate between this & top 10s plus I can't wait to see when you do one like this for power rangers

I definitely enjoyed watching this tier list, as for top 10 I don’t think you guys should get rid of them, you could do both but pick which one you want to do for the topic, pick the one that suits better, so if a top 10 suits better, do a top ten, if a tier list fits better, do a tier list. Or you guys could do your own individual top 10/tier list each if your opinions differ that much!

I would say Gokaigers is my favorite. I didn’t think I’d get back into super sentai but here I am stuck to gokaigers man
I. DO. Like Timeranger, Dekaranger, and Gokaiger, mostly in terms of aesthetics, but I agree the stories and the characters are very well worth the experience.
I really enjoyed your list. Thanks for making it! It gives me some idea of what other seasons to check out that I haven't seen yet. Boukenger is actually one of my favorites so I would have put that higher personally. I also like Go-busters too. Not S-rank, but for me it was good. ToQger wasn't the best but I still liked it. I would have put it higher than Zyuohger because that was pretty meh for me. Not bad, but not good. Strangely enough, I enjoyed watching Go-onger for some reason even though I completely agree it's not great objectively. I 200% agree with your dislike of Ninninger though XD I too watched the the finale and felt nothing (except annoyance at all of the yelling) where in a good season I would be totally invested in the characters. If I list all the other things I agree with this comment will be way too long, but thanks again for the fun video!

My S Tier list in my opinion
S: Gokaiger, Jetman, Shinkenger, Dairanger, Kiramager (Because it receives tons of positive feedbacks from toku communities and it's considered as the most well written series in years since Gokaiger, although the show hasn't ended yet)
Kiramager was written by the same guy who wrote the 2 popular Sentai series, Dekaranger and Gokaiger. Maybe that the reason the series was indeed amazing and well recieved by fans.

I haven't seen most SS seasons but I liked Zyuranger (well, I would give that a C or D) and I'm currently watching Go-Busters (so far, I would give that a B but maybe that will change) and Gokaiger (only seen a few episodes so far but many people will give it S and I probably would too). Megaranger is S class for me along with Jetman and Dairanger (or maybe I would put Dairanger at A). Jetman, Dairanger, and Megaranger are my favorite 90's SS so far but I haven't seen anything after Megaranger yet.

*Could've Been Better* - Goggle V, Flashman, Maskman, Fiveman, Ohranger, Goseiger, Gobuster and LuPat.
*Boring* - Gingaman, Gaoranger, Magiranger, Goonger and Zyuohger.
*Just Awful* - Sun Vulcan, Turboranger, Zyuranger and Ninninger.

I just find it generic, it's your run of the mill show with fairytale cliche that you could possibly think of

@@eddymadison9655 Well, i have no idea how did you find it generic but i love it.(you can say that from my profil picture anyway) each characters sibling connections are emotionel and fun to watch, the villains were generic at beginning but later they got better, (Vancuria was good, Wolzard's arc. was amazing, Braken was meh, Meemy was okay, Gods of Hell were badass and N-Ma!.... he is a lazy winner) the Harry Potter aesthetic, mecha and OST are beautiful, i think you should check some reviews of it, it’s a fan favorite and better than it's american adaptation (Both good but Mystic Force was just rushed and doesn't give you something special, it’s just a serious toned version of Magiranger but the red ranger is obviously a jerk)

To put Lupat instead of Kyuranger is ridiculous, but I also understand because it is your opinions. Kyuranger has a incredible story and nobody really liked Lupat, except you guys it seems
Anthony Gulick I actually liked Lupat. Now don’t get me wrong, the show is a far cry from perfection but I still enjoyed it enjoyed it a lot more than Kyuranger.
Ian Smith look at the either comments here lol Lupat was a “NO” by a lot of the Toku community. Kyuranger is not my favorite sentai, but it’s story is one of the absolute best. You must have been drunk watching Lupat if you thought it was better than Kyuranger. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion though, but your opinion clearly sucks. I’m currently watching Dairanger which is a great show and I think Kyuranger is better than that. You can’t tell me the whole plot with going back in time and everything in Kyuranger was not better than Lupat. It’s not just me that doesn’t like this show. 90% of the Toku community doesn’t. When on the other hand a lot more people like Kyuranger.
Anthony Gulick Whoa, chill out guy. All I said was that I enjoyed Lupat more than Kyuranger. You don’t have to insult me or my sense taste simply because I have a different opinion than you. Also, I don’t care about what most of the community has to say. When I watch a show, I watch it at my own pace and form my own thoughts on it. Instead of agreeing with whatever the general consensus of the fandom is.

So Jetman is the absolute best? The pinnacle of Super Sentai? Hmmm. I recently finished watching Jetman and I loved it. The problem is that I haven't watched any of the other series to compare it with.

These guys became my friends the second they put Shinkenger in S. I fucking love that show! I’ll get back to you guys (maybe) on Gokaiger when I finish it sometime this month assuming I don’t get too much homework!
Edit: finished it. I give it an A. I’m watching Liveman now.
Timeranger will always be my favorite, but Hurricanger had to have done something right in order to get a follow up movie 10 years later

Gaoranger isn't trash but Dekaranger isn't either, these guys have bad tastes, they don't even explain why it's trash or something, even if it's bad, every bad show has a good quality or a good side that can be forgiven.

I like most of the list. The only real differing opinions I have are Dekaranger is way too high (B at the very highest), and Magiranger, Go-Onger, and Kyouruger are too low (S, C, and A respectively). Yay for liking things can’t wait for Rider...

I like your tier list. It was fun to see. But the Lupat was an No or Trash or D for many of us. When you guys do the Kamen Rider & Power Rangers. We will see a lot of deserved places.

Gokaiger is the only Sentai season I've ever watched in it's entirety. It's that amazing.
I tried to watch Zyuranger and had to skip so many episodes. It's an alright fantasy show, Burai is amazing, but it's so slow. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers created something awesome from a show that was mediocre for Sentai. Some Ranger seasons are honestly better than their Sentai counterparts, and some Ranger seasons completely dishonor their counterpart (Samurai).
YAY thank you Jacob for agreeing with me that Sun Vulcan is awful! i could barely make it through that season after Denziman which i liked a lot. although i loved zyuranger! Geki was an amazing red!

I'm agree about most of part but completely disagree about Go Onger and Kyoryuger.
Go Onger is one of the best comedic season of the Super Sentai, I would rank it as an A.
As Kyoryuger, pretty entertaining but too underrated due to overshadowed by Gokaiger and Go Busters, I would rank it as a B.
As come to current ones, I would rank Donbrothers as a B while King Ohger as a C.

The finale wasn't all that bad. It wasn't a good one because it didn't really feel like one. It felt like the beginning of a finale arc, not the end, but it wasn't the worse
It's a solid A for me. It was my first modern SS and I loved it from start to finish except for like 1 or 2 episodes.

Ehhh, I don't think Gingaman is in the right tier. It's not the greatest of the 90s shows but its at least mid-tier. The season does the job of having a magical fantasy team better than Zyuranger ever did; The Gingaman are likable and have cool powers. The mentor Moak both gives wisdom to the team and helps them deal with the villains with his abilities. The reoccuring side-characters help the team in ways that save the day, Yuuta is a much better kid character than any of the ones from Zyuranger. The stories in each episode are overall enjoyable to watch with exception of a few stinkers. The villains are AWESOME in design, themes, and personality. And the Mecha are cool to look at.
The main flaws with the show come from the main goal of the villains forces the writers to make the story in ways that can make the Balban look like total imbeciles to make it as difficult for them as possible to complete their objective. In addition, this mission takes way too long for them to accomplish practically taking 4/5ths of the season to actually do it. The giant fights in Gingaman are overall atrociously short and a waste of time, it's painfully obvious that these were only included because the writers were forced to include them.
Overall though, Gingaman is an underrated show that I can recommend people watching. The Tokucast in this video really slept on it, like they completely ignored talking about it at all and moved on.

Yeah, I found Gaoranger to be an alright sentai show. Sure, it's a lot cornier, and there is a right way and a wrong way to do the kind of admittable dumb humor, but it at least does maintain the same dignity and charm as those of the previous sentais.
