As a native Philadelphian, I would riff on the Water-Ice/ Italian-Ice and sacreligiously make a frozen margarita with homemade Lime and Orange Water-Ice, including pieces of the zest in the final product for visual appeal and texture. I always believe in adding salt to the drink itself, but leaving the rim half salted to allow choice to the imbiber. I'm also a fan of a rim that is a mix of salt and sugar, both. I would use a Blanco tequila for the peppery, citrus and grassy notes, and I'd serve it alongside a soft pretzel with a honey mustard that subs out the honey for Agave syrup. Serve it in a large margarita glass with a wooden spoon; the creation turning from an edible granita to a sippable margarita as it melts.
Lovely! For anyone having crazy pastry skills it would be cool making heart-shaped green mini macaron shells (it would remind of Cointreau being French and add another country in the mix). (at this point you know that I always watch until the end, but from the laptop, and today I don't have any pun with orange to use instead of the emoji)
That is Fantastic advice, as always. Good luck to everyone who enters. I was in the UK finals last year, and I can tell it is a great competition to enter. Cheers!
A scandinavian variation i am thinking of are to use aquavit, unsweetened apple juice or lingon juice for acidity and a liqour based on a local berry from scandinavia. Not exactly a margarita but a very scandinavian drink.
🍊 Is this being posted on a Monday now the routine or just because of the competition. I really like this video for a few reasons. 1. The use of the left over wine. Do you think i can do the same thing with Blanc Vermouth? And how long will it last. 2. I love green apples 🍏. 3. Using the yogurt to add texture to tequila is a technique i forgot about. Im going to try it with Rum. 4. Everything seems easier to do than some of the other videos. Maybe I've just gotten used to your style.
It might become a routine, so you have enought time to prepare the ingredients for the weekend. Blanc vermouth can also be used, but you would need to lower down the sugar in cocktail and pump up some acidity. It should be good for two weeks. I am glad about the 4. reason. I believe you got better and got used to the style 😉 Cheers!
Awesome tribute to Slovenia! Seeing the pics makes me wish I was back there again. My homemade margaritas use cucumbers, jalapeño peppers, agave nectar and tajin, but your recipe looks amazing. Cheers!🍊🍸🥂
@@KevinKos I had a couple of Aviations at Niagara Bar in Maribor last spring, everything was blooming in the countryside and it was very beautiful. Love your country and hope to see again soon.
Wonderful video as always! That acid adjusted wine looks so good! What else could I uso it for? Can i use it simply as a replacement for lime juice? And what about shelf life?
I'm not a bartender and the challenge is probably over, but here it goes (since this is unofficial, I'm going to skip Cointreau): Tamarind Margarita 1 Tequila 1 Tamarind Liqueur 1 Coriander Seed Liqueur1 1/2 Gran Marnier 1/2 Lime Juice

White wine super juice! Wow, what a cool concept. I might have to play around with that.
Glad you like it! Enjoy playing around with it! Cheers!
@@KevinKos You basically made a citric apple vinegar. That's brilliant!
Love the story and inspiration behind the cocktail!

My spring break started today and I made a margarita, sat down, and saw your video! Cheers!
Perfect timing, right?

That's a great idea! Heart shaped macarons would look great! No worries, I know you always stick to the end 😉. Thank you!

You nailed it with making it local then! Add Cointreau and some salt and you're ready to enter the competition! 🍊
Top class as always! 🍊

@@tucopacifico 👏👏 Hit me up next time you are here. Hopefully I will be around so we can catch up! Cheers!
You should have based it on Slovenia's world famous and UNESCO recognized AZ (Anton Žnideršič) Bee Houses. Those are some beautiful bee hives.
good idea!
Good luck to those that enter. That yogurt wash tequila will be something i try at home...cheers! 🍊
Very unique. Very inspiring 🍊
thanks!
Wonderful video as always! That acid adjusted wine looks so good! What else could I uso it for? Can i use it simply as a replacement for lime juice? And what about shelf life?
You can use it in any other sour instead of lime juice. It will change the collor in a day or two but the taste is great even after 7 days.
for how long does ascorbic acid prevent oxidation? Does it work with freshly squeezed lime juice as well?
The juice is ok to use for at least a week, but it will start changing color into less bright green after a day or two.
❤i like your cocktail. Is beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
🍊 looks wonderful. Just tell me where I can get one!
Hopefully it will be available at some of my guestshifts somewhere around the world 🤞

Brilliant❤
I managed to stop just in time before I drank too much 🍊got really close this time lol
Moderation is your best friend! 😉
Would Cointreau mind if I used PF Dry Curaçao instead? 😏
I think you wouldn't come to the finals 😅
