Best played so well, his decision making was amazing, as well as his overally gameplay, like scouting and gathering information. And neverthless his macro was on top as always, great play by him to finish off with 3 wins

How can you dislike Troy as a viewer when it occasionally produces fantastic matches like this one?
because as a player I feel a certain type of way when I see it
About troy: Saiyan and others may feel unwell playing such weird maps. That's fine.
On the other hand I and other viewers totally enjoy these maps. They keep broodwar fresh.
Middle ground is that Saiyan and others like to get some views, and we like watching these crazy maps from time to time. It's spicy.

I honestly love Troy as someone that watches and doesn't play the game. I heard playing it is a nightmare, but it's honestly one of my favourite maps this last ASL season. Allows for some completely whacky plays
I don't necessarily dislike whacky maps, my problem is they are often imbalanced sometimes grossly imbalanced. I also don't like when the final game of ASL is won on a whacky map....i don't mind mixing some spice in if it's not too imbalanced but I don't want game 7 of the ASL finals to be on a whacky map
Light was playing checkers. Best was playing 3D chess. Really was refreshing and inspiring to see Best apply his mind instead of shoving a square peg into a round hole.
Please don’t stop including the reversed content at the end. Watching that command center spawn itself from explosion dust was epic. Good shit!!!

1:48:00 reminds me of early days when you could set the speed, tried slower speeds for fun back then and even original ladder was fast speed not fastest which was kind of weird, funny to think how the meta would change if ASL was played at fast not fastest speed

Are the games slightly sped up or is it just me? Everything feels a half step faster...
34:27 I'm curious why the goon shot missed the spider mine... it wasn't on high ground. Anyone know why it missed? I was thinking it targeted the destroyed mine, but it's doesn't look like it.
Not sure in this case, but there's a 1 in 255 chance that any ranged attack misses regardless of high ground
@@pearlscott4273 Oh, interesting. Never knew that. I wonder if it was some programming artifact or in some way a limitation of the code. Seems a bit too random to be intentional.

I'm no pro but it doesn't seem like mech was the proper follow up to Light's surprise third base. He should have gone into an even more surprising cloaked wraith and battlecruiser follow up. the map is basically an island map. it can be turned into one whenever a player wants it to, so it should considered it an island map. mech on an island map? nah

Am I the only one who thinks that Action is overrated? I've seen him constantly drop the ball vs T for several months now.
More so I'd just say he's inconsistent. He also pulls out some amazing games and has great macro: during ASL 17 I saw a practice series vs Snow where Action won the ZvP like 4 or 5 times in a row
And also Zerg is a glass knife. So like when they lose it seems like amateurish because they fall apart so dramatically
