I'm a kindergarten teacher of 17 students in one small room. I'm so overwhelmed by the class messy environment right now. They don't know how to read, write, etc. I don't know how to split myself to support all of them. The time is limited to 30 minutes per session 😭 I'm sooo stressed out

17 students is a lot to manage. I don’t understand why schools don’t give teachers assistants to teachers that have a lot of students. My child is in preschool and his class has 21 students and they only have 2 teachers.

I wish I had that amount. I have 31 students in my classroom 😬😬 But they do know how to read and write great.

Because nowadays, school is just a matter of business not an education anymore. The higher ups are pushing the teacher to teach and do their job without thinking about capacity or balance. It's so sad

@Satya Ayu I agree with you. 31 is an absurd number and I don't even get any aid or helper.

I used to teach K and 1st...glad to see your emergent writing examples...scribbles is soooo good for the kids and so is play. My fav K activity was what I called language experience where the kids drew a picture and then labeled it if they could or could tell me about it. So fun.

Awesome and so true, i have moved on now being in the U.S: from Geneva teaching grade 3, 4, and 5 (8-10 year olds) to kids 4,5 and at points even 3. Would love to know whether your club caters to all these age groups, or just the very young only. Have a lovely week. (Age 3 ,4 and 5)

I’m just wondering.. my son is 3 .. he traces letters and numbers fairly and can replicate a line and circle and some shapes in a weird way .. I see some other 3 year olds writing their own name .. I’m just wondering if I sign up for the writing club will it teach me how to get him from tracing to him writing letters on his own and then to the other levels ?

Have them use playdough and make letters..or draw letters in the sand on a cookie sheet or outdoors..many little ones are not developmentally ready for holding a pencil. Scribble a lot. They could pick up cotton balls with tweezers to practice their muscles...

    Hi Susan !
New here but binge watching your amazing content for my about to be 4 year old son. My son is downright refusing to even hold a pencil. Although he enjoys black and white board but a complete no to pencil. However, I don’t push him and just offer. Meltdowns and crying are usual. Any tips please.

@@hunt3amy great idea...I'm working on one. I'm going to go into a classroom and try it out, then I will make my video. I have a lot of writing ideas....This teacher really has some good ideas, doesn't she?. I like that she lets them write about what they want--that's great. Good luck with your kiddos.
