    When you get tired of monkeying around with the water level, get yourself a float. It'll keep your mist maker at the optimum level and yield better fog/mist. If you want a top notch mist maker, House Of Hydro has the best kits, and their most makers come with a float and replacement ceramics. They're more expensive, but higher quality (get what you pay for). I second what a previous poster said about adjusting cycle times, except that each setup is different because of the size and equipment used (for example, a 3 head mist maker will fill the container much faster than a 1 head unit). That's another rain you want consistent fog output. With each new build you'll need to time your setup to see how long it takes to fill that enclosure with fog, then time how long it takes for that fog to dissipate. Then you can set your cycle times accordingly.

    I've been using a couple of systems for a couple of yrs now! Titan sells a 1 min on 4 min off timer you should really use it!! 5 hrs on is way to long the roots need to dry out a little for you to get the most out of the system along with reducing the newts to 1/4 strength, I have experimented with all sorts of times newts and set ups and the 1 min on 4 off is by far the best all around schedule! I have 3 plants in a 27gal tub with 5 foggers they grow like crazy

      It's very exciting watching just how fast plants grow and explode!! I usually run them for 2 to 3 weeks in the fog then switch over to a high pressure aeroponic set up I designed and I've had amazing results, good luck and just have fun playing around with it ,I literally bought 30 foggers so I could build multiple different set ups to see what worked and I still come up with ideas and try them! If your using newts the other thing is cleaning the disk every other newts fill I'd take it out and lightly clean with CLR or some other cleaner to remove build up on the ceramic disk that is a must!!

      If I remember it was something like 45 on then 15 off but this may not be the greatest depending on what you're growing. This was mainly me testing out to see if I could do it with the foggers from Halloween. Definitely clones tomatoes like crazy. Thanks for watching my video.

    • @theoverworkedgardener5648
      @theoverworkedgardener5648  3 года назад

      I got those foggers from Amazon. And then closure was just a fish tank from a fish that died so I repurposed it. I would not recommend using a clear container to do it. It was just kind of an experiment to show people what it did. Normally you want to keep roots in the dark Still works pretty good though. Thanks for watching

  • @atomizer2665

    The ones closest to he water will get hit by the water thrown up by the fogger. The ones that only get fog take a lot longer to show roots.

    What timer is the fogger on or do you run constant?

    • @theoverworkedgardener5648
      @theoverworkedgardener5648  3 года назад +1

      I have my fogger on majority of the time with 5.75 hours on and 15 minutes off. For what I understand if you run it too long the fogger doesn't like it. And there's a chance that if you run it too long it could make the water heat up some. Are you setting up one?

    • @UFOmartian

    • @theoverworkedgardener5648
      @theoverworkedgardener5648  3 года назад +1

      Both are really viable options. I think I'm going to use the fog upon its more for rooting cuttings. Right now that's what I see it works really well for at least with tomatoes. Deepwater culture is a little more simple to me at least. but could just be me I'm crazy 🤣

    • @UFOmartian
