Riggs!!!!!! We love you man!
We love ya back, buddy!
Am I the only one who noticed the Captain N shirt (edit: no)? That's awesome! I need to watch it with my son.
I have some of these games, but not all of them.
Crystalis is an absolutely amazing game. I beat it again last year. GI Joe was one of my NES games, and I loved it. Still trying to pick it up again.
John Riggs: RIGG'd Games how many nes games do you have I. your collection? you are awesome BTW
We love u all 👍🏿👍🏿🎮🎮
Riggs I owe you lunch at Miner's!
Thank you for including Battle of Olympus in your Nes hidden gems 3 video. That's an NES game I mentioned that deserves a place as an overlooked action rpg.
4:55 that Fire and Ice is such a cool game. It has 100 regular levels, but then also 50(!) hidden bonus levels as an easter egg.
If the game was released today that would probably have been paid DLC.
Pinball Quest was easily my favorite NES game next to the SMB series. I'd die 10x if they remade that gem.. There aren't many pinball games with that amount of depth in story.
I'm so nostalgic for that G.I. Joe NES game... used to go far but never finished when I was a child.
Nothing like enjoying your break at work, watching a new Metal Jesus Rocks nes video!
The Guardian Lengend is SOOOOOOOO fun! A buddy of mine got it in a stack of NES games from his uncle years ago, and we have gone back and replayed countless times since. We were actually lucky enough to find a loose manual of it at the flee market near us for $2 a year or so ago! If John has the manual it's actually a pretty cool read and makes it gives you the names for each power up
Always love seeing you guys together. The music to Shatterhand is amazing!!
The cover art for The Guardian Legend is EXACTLY why I never rented it at my local rental store. I can't tell you how many times I looked at that game but never tried it out! I am sure I would have liked it.
Thanks guys! Watched all three! I have some stuff to play for the winter now!
amazing job on the 300,000 subs you deserve more keep up the good work live your videos.. really good information
Awesome Video MetalJesus & John! Keep up the awesome videos!
love the hidden gem videos, always gives me ideas for new games :)
I'm always down for more hidden gems -- especially Import (famicom, ect) hidden gems. What should I check out?
2 words: Super Sprint
Man, you included Tiny Toons Adventures Cartoon Workshop, but not Color a Dinosaur? You better include that one in NES hidden gems 4 :^)
The only thing good about Color a Dinosaur is finding it for cheap and flipping it for profit. And the fact that Tommy Tallarico did the music.
Rollergames is an awesome hidden gem on NES. Definitely needs to be in the next hidden gems video. Also, I recommend Crisis Force for Famicom, the best shmup on the system.
Uforia: The Saga
Over Horizon
Super Turrican
Hammerin' Harry
Noah's Ark
Astyanax
Blue Shadow
Xexyz
The NewZealand Story
Also, the European Guardian Legend box art is one of the best for the system, it's awesome :D
I love John! I love all your guests but John has such an enthusiasm you can definitely feel.
its been awhile, Metal. Thanks for your vids!
Excellent Video! Need a part 4 now!
The Guardian Legend is freakin' amazing! Such an unlikely pair of gameplay styles but both are done well.
"Olive Grind" --
Sounds like the goal of a Popeye game.
LOL!
Giggity
"The world's first pinball fantasy.......Tell me about this fantasy" IM DYING 😆
Well done for putting Crystalis in this vidéo cause i was surprised to see he wasn't in the 2 first video
omg i had the battle of olympus and completely forgot about this game. The visuals took me back like it was yesterday. So great thanks so much for sharing!!!
Cant get enough of this stuff. Keep up the amazing work. And thank u. 🎸
Your list definitely has some of my favorite hidden Gems awesome video 👌🏻🕹👌🏻
Chrystalis is my favorite NES game. Mad props for recognizing it.
Tough making a hidden gems video on Nintendo games these days, but there were a few titles in this list I hadn't heard of. I recently played Shatterhand. Great game, has a bit of a Vice Project Doom feel to it which you covered in an earlier video.
Shatterhand is the absolute badass game ever!!
@Jeffery Asa Where's you're other account, the one that agrees and goes something along the lines of "Oh wow, didn't think it would actually work, but it sure did, thanks alot!!"
I love these videos. Keep bringing me this awesome content!
you covered some of my all time favorites in this one!
Some fantastic recommendations. Can't wait to test them out. Thanks guys, its awesome!
loving the t shirt MetalJesusRocks . my first platform for gaming besides a couple of games on the vic 20. great man. thanks
MJR THANKS BROTHER !!
You & RIGGS made my day with this video..
Kabuki Quantum Fighter looks so damn good. Thanks for this vid MJ
Great vid guys. And great suggestions. I still need shatterhand and kabuki
Yes! Crystalis. I'm glad that it was included on the list. I had this when I was a kid and absolutely loved it. Definitely a hidden gem. Great choice!
John is probably the only one that doesn't stand on a platform in MJR's videos :D
John makes Jesus stand on a box when they film together
He mentioned hes 6.5. Thats huuge.
Lol I thought you meant political platform and I was confused for a second.
love your series keep up the good work
You're the man Metal Jesus! Keep making awesome videos!
You guys couldn't look more the part! Well done!
shatter hand is my all time fave nes game. ive beat this game many times just to figure out the different combinations of the robots(whatever the proper name is) love it
16:41 with Shatterhand I like how you can select the last levels in any order. Other games by Natsume did this too; Tail Gator, Power Blade II, Wild Guns
I cant believe that G.I Joe game is Nes !!! I've never played it back in the days when i owned an Nes and will sure visit it now to see what happens :D Thanks for the hidden Gem as always :D
The Guardian Legend is STILL a hidden gem all these years later!
That game is so freakin good!
Awesome video! Thanks guys.
I don't even have to see this video to know it's gonna be buttery
Also, I think a lot of people know this, but if you input 'TGL' as the password on Guardian Legend, it allows you to play through just the shooter sections.
They also give you this password after you finish the game, probably because they knew no one would want to play through the whole game a second time.
The Guardian Legend is one of my favorite games. I played it a lot when I was kid. Great game.
Crystalsis and Rockin' Cats are classics
Very happy to see Crystalis on that list! :D
One of my favorite NES games.
I watch these NES hidden gems videos over and over. I got out of the NES collecting game, but I'm back in because of these videos.
Gi joe and shatter hand were awesome!
I'm new to NES collecting and i love this channel man
I love shatterhand! Im glad you saved it for last on this episode!
Shatterhand is amazing! Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom level AWESOME!
Bucky O'Hare and Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle are my #1 (&2) go to games. Glad to see this on the list.
I find it interesting to see Bucky considered a hidden gem, because there were comics, toys, and a tv show in the 80s.
Same with Tiny Toons, which has been in 2 of these videos. Tiny Toons 1 is really fun and if you're creative, the cartoon Workshop is sure to keep you entertained.
Thanks for mentioning Rockin Kats! I loved plalying that game growing up. Also, you both need to check out Trog. One of my favorite NES games.
RIGGSY!!!!! Thanks for the Pinball Quest recommendation! :P
always!
bucky o hare was one of my favorite games to rent when i was a kid! definitely a classic!!
OMG!! Thank you so much for doing this! For the life of me, I could never remember the name of that pinball game!! Now I know how to track it down!
Excellent video, +MetalJesusRocks.
I can recommend you three hidden gems for the NES: 8 Eyes by Taxan, Conquest of the Crystal Palace by Asmik and Jackie Chan by Hudson Soft (also, three of my favorite games for the NES). Greetings from Mexico.
Around 15 years ago I bought Bucky O’Hare complete in box with the ads in it for 8 dollars. At the time I didn’t know what I was buying because I never heard of the game and that was the only one I ever seen at game shops. Back then I bought games just to own. I also got a complete in box Snow Brothers at the same place for 20 dollars
Pinball + RPG sounds like an awesome gameplay mix.
It's about time that you included Crystalis. Love that game. Another game I have a soft spot for is Willow, which is based on the fantasy movie starring Warwick Davis and Val Kilmer.
You two are really awsome . Thank you so much
Rockin kats was amazing! Played that like no tomorrow, never owned it though but rented it quite often from the local mom and pop video store that used to be in town....was weird there was only about 2000 or so people in my hometown but we had 3 video stores.... 1 chain and 2 mom and pop
Dude! G.I. Joe is by far my favorite NES game! Great pick!
gotta love the newer intro!
You should also check the cover art for the european "The Guardian Legend"
it's waaay different
I totally remember Bucky O Hare; I've never seen it reviewed before but I'm surprised it's a "hidden gem," I thought it was popular. But it may have came out at a time it went head to head with the Genesis and was over shadowed
I vividly remember playing Bucky and really getting into it. I was probably 6 years old, lol. Sometimes you were rolling the dice with game rentals, sometimes you won. This was a winner.
Pinball Quest ! ! ! Yes! That and Pinbot got played for hours. Talk about intrigueing and addicting
Guardian Legend and Crystalis are my two favorite games on the NES, great list.
honestly shatterhand is my favorite game, remember playing this for hours with my little brother
When I was a kid I got Pinball Quest as a present when I had chicken pox. It's hard for me to play now to this day, because I just remember how sick and feverish I was trying to play it that first time.
I have a sealed copy of Shatterhand though, so that was fun to see pop up!
Crystalis is the definition of a hidden gem. Played through a million times. Didn’t know until much later that it wasn’t well known.
Thanks for another great video.
Great video love Jason and Riggs God Bless
Awesome Quantum Fighter is on the list happy i watched all the videos.
Kabuki Quantum Fighter was by far one of my favorite NES titles from my childhood. I can't believe that so many people haven't heard of, or even played that great game.
Thought i knew almost all the NES/Famicom games but 6:34 proved me other wise great video!!!
Love Kabuki Quantum fighter, my cousin rented this, and we played it at my grandparents. He is dead now, but this gives me happy memories of him.
Metal Jesus Rocks!!! Love this channel
I had Kabuki Quantum Fighter and Tiny Toons Cartoon Workshop as a kid. Cartoon Workshop was fun for a while and Kabuki was creepy and very hard I never got past the spider tank boss on stage 4 back then. Fond memories though some of the best titles of their genres.
Oh yeah! Guardian Legend and Battle of Olympus. I'v got fond memories of those games.
Love this guys energy👌🏻👌🏻
Shatterhand...I didn't remember the name but now that u showed it, it brings back memories. It's an enjoyable game.
i love these NES titles in no particular order: Rescue Rangers, Ducktales, Punchout, TMNT, Kirby, RC Pro Am, Hockey, Excite Bike, Batman, Battletoads, 1942, All the Mario Games, All the Megaman especially Megaman 2 and Jaws.
Games I hated in particular order: Rambo, TMNT, Legend of Zelda 2, Ghostbusters, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, Kid Chameleon. I'm sure theres more just cant remember them now.
Stick blades of steel in there.
I was seriously thinking last week that no one has ever mentioned how great Pinball Quest is! Now that the word is out, you best go play it!
Thanks for putting johns info up again RUclips keeps taking his channel of my subscriptions for some reason.
i died at Jason's comment about the cartoon game 😂😂😂
Very great games mentioned I think Startropics is a very great hidden gem as well.
I still have my Shatter Hard cartridge I bought in the early 90s. I bought it on blind luck like many of us back in the day without video reviews and I was really glad I did.
Love these vids!!!! I'm clearing out ebay right now and will have them up for auction within a week!!!!
Riggs bringin' knowledge! Great Nintendo Power cartoon shirt, Riggs! Loved that show!
yeah, buddy!
I'm glad Latiku is back, awesome guest.
OMG Rockin' Kats! Finally I remember this long lost game! I used to rent it constantly, but completely forgot what it was called.
AWESOME!!! The Doctor and MetalJesus combo!!! Damn, life doesn't get any better!!! Rock on DUDES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I somehow missed this video last year. Aside from the good selection of games I flipped out more when I saw the Crazy Mike's Video sticker. Used to rent games from there all the time when I was a kid.
Holy crap! Crazy Mikes Video! I had one within walking distance of my house as a kid.
the instant i saw tiny toons cartoon workshop i was right on ebay purchasing a copy. looking forward to giving that a go soon
Love Shatter Hand, more people need to play that game. When we were kids, my brother and I each got to pick a game, and I thought the cover looked cool, so that was mine, he picked Jaws, I win.
Really like Bucky O'Hare as well, haven't played the rest of them. I've already got a ton of game I know I want to pick up in backlog, if I ever manage to get through those, I might just check a few of these.
