This is a great ringtone sustaining axe at first the sustaining rang right into the next chord never heard the sounds of a beautiful guitar like that and it looked like as if it's new wow that won't be hanging around long nice demo mr lemmo
I've got this guitar's little brother, a 1934. Mine does not have a slotted peg head and in 1934 they had the cool logo on the front of the head stock and the embossed logo on the back of the head stock. Sounds very similar to mine........beautiful.
This is it. I've watched every single video you guys have made and can say this is THE guitar...my dream guitar. I'll never be able to afford it, but I'm glad I could hear it... Especially in Lemmo's hands. Thank you
Man that guitar could pass for a new guitar, wow 91 years, unbelievable. It must have sat up in the attic for 50 years, beautiful guitar. great demo, lemmo, have great weekend folks.
That guitar is in fantastic condition considering it's 90 years old. Either it wasn't played very much and stayed in the case this whole time or someone took really good care of it.
Nice. Very nice. Love the size of these. Whole different vibe than a dread. Just picked up a Gretsch Jim Dandy. I know. Big difference. Lemmo's "da man.
Great little Martin. Great job Michael. I play a CEO-5 Dread style 12 fret S/H Martin and although it’s a much newer instrument than this little O-18 it is a unique guitar in tone just like this 89 year old beauty. Oh and Michael thanks for removing your jewelry prior to play that shows great respect for that little Queen you just let talk to us all.
Sounded a little like harvest moon - Neil Young. Just listened to a Seth cover and sounded similar. Nice guitar!!! ruclips.net/video/uAJPKklmKOk/видео.html
Dude is always so High...I mean, right on! But, this guy must have the 'kind' weed in his tool box. Right? Oh, and play on player, but turn it up when showing the classic electrics...This Guitar sounds Fabulous. Known for it's large Bass Tone, the pre-war Martins are solid gold...
How in the world is that the original finish with no checking, etc. I know that older Martin's have a more "Satin" look--not the clear, glossy finish from the seventies, for example--but the only blemish I see is a ding right at the top corner of the bridge. Where was this thing kept for the past 90 years??
Go watch Billy strings or Molly Tuttle then he's showing the full range of the guitar not just G runs or E runs. Martins arnt just for bluegrass, and trust me I love bluegrass
Oddly it sounds fantastic when picking , but while strumming it still sounds like a ukelele , that's not to say it sounds bad , a Martin is a Martin , snd in the hands of a pro like Lemmo , it can sound great , a beautiful guitar in it's own right , but the best ever acoustic on GOTD??? , not even close. thanks guys.
@@GuitarlosCarlos USE THE BULLY PULPIT YOU HAVE TO KNOCK DOWN THESE JOKERS. YEAH, LEMMO IS A LITTLE HEAVY ON THE REVERB, BUT HE'S AN ARTIST, NOT A PUNCHING BAG.
Of course you are a Salesman, and you've got to sell this Guitar so ya gotta say whatcha gotta say. But, this guitar is not the Coolest one you've done. My Vote goes for the Gibson J200, the one with the Horse shoe inlayed into it. Now that one is a COOL Guitar!
Why do we to have Focus terrible events? what's so good about that day like do u want to remember the people that died why ? If ur remembering just for the sake of the day that's a bit more problematic and anyone who does and u should think about it.and u can't be grateful or in awe of them for one single day of a year and think that's a good thing to do than just not remember them
Built during the great depression and 89 years young. This Martin still looks and sounds beautiful. Thanks for showing her to us.👍

Nothing great about depression my friend, trust me
One of the best sounding acoustics I’ve ever heard and I’m sure it sounds better in person. Amazing beautiful instrument

When Lemmo slows down his tempos on acoustic guitars, magic happens.

Lemmo nice job of getting the right kind of chords to show the right tone that guitar can produce. Huge neck on that guitar. Great video dude
That guitar incredible! So full and balanced top to bottom. Those Martin guys really know what they're doing!
1931! That guitar looks Mint!
Beautiful guitar beautifully played. I could listen for hours.
That guitar sounds heavenly-very nice demo as well, Mr. Lemmo! I think you need that guitar by your side; it’s an inspiring piece.
Woah! Beautiful, loved the first song.
Rings like a bell: ckear, big, even. What an instrument. Good job Lemmo 👍👏
It has such a soft, sweet sound...oh man

Perfect! 👍☮️🌞🎸❤️
Wow! One of the best Flattop Fridays. good job Lemmo you made her sing beautifully.
Loving these amazing Flat Tops! Love to see a classic Martin! However! Gotta do a Maton!
Wow. That is one sweet sounding Martin. This rates right there at the top of all my favorite Flattop Friday’s. Thank you!
Lemmo, learn "Peace Pipe" by the Shadows and play it the next Straturday. It will soothe the souls of many. Without packing a bowl.
Beautiful playing Mike! That’s exactly what I wanted to hear on this one.
I love the 18's line
that's a fine sounding musical instrument, well done
I love Martin guitar
Nice little Martin!
It sounds great in your hands. Thank you so much.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
This guy's good, fun to watch and plays really well, keep 'em coming
Elegantly beautiful.............

unreal guitar
Definitely its voice shines when finger picking sweet voice. Thanks!
My God! That guitar sounds amazing!
That first song is so incredible
in 1931 there were millions of people who would have sold that guitar for bologna sandwiches. Great guitar, great demo, lemmo! and hello todd!
Lucky enough to have the Koa version of this
Nice. Very nice. Love the size of these. Whole different vibe than a dread. Just picked up a Gretsch Jim Dandy. I know. Big difference. Lemmo's "da man.
i have a jim dandy too. Not bad for the money
Nice playing, nice tone. Feels like this guitar likes the picking more than the strumming. Sweet sounds.

I have a 1953 O-18. Any idea of the value of these older Martins?
Could we have a person that can play a little bit of Bluegrass or Country, or maybe some fingerpicker on a guitar like this.
Thank you

I may be wrong but i think that long glue in saddle placed on the sound board sweet spot has a lot to do with sweet tone.
