I wanted to put a tmi roof in my 67 Camaro but they would not let me buy it Without upholstery on it, I wanted to put my own upholstery look so I would not buy it from tmi. Then TMI was charging me more at the checkout when I already got a final price I was gonna buy the whole interior but since they charged me more I didn't buy from them watch out when you buy it from tmi
You can mount the aftermarket tach in the dash by ditching the giant chrome tach bullet and cutting a hole in the factory fuel gauge face plate. Add a small fuel gauge to your other below dash gauges and make a 4 pack. I did that to my 69 and it was a big improvement. There is room behind the existing giant factory fuel gauge and the tach much more readable in dash I found.
I have that same headliner and it looks great installed. You might want to uninstall the headliner again and put some danamat in it. About the rear sway bar, unless you're running a super wide tire, you don't need to run a sway bar. If you watch the videos about the 48-hour Camaro that ridetech created, it explains why you don't need a sway bar.
Hey dude, great videos of your project. Great looking car! I also have a '69 Camaro and seeing what you are doing has given me some great ideas. Keep up the great work!
Fantastic look and description. I'm going to copy you I think and get that suede headliner. Looks very high end. Might I plant the seed for if there is heat /sound exchange still through the roof to add dynamat? Loving this so far. Looking forward to the coilover vid!
So far I don't think I will need it for the roof or the floor but I do think I want to add some to divider between the rear seat and the trunk and maybe the underside of the package tray to get rid of the sound coming through from the trunk.
I installed same seats in my 69 camaro and am having a seat belt clearance issue. Very tight fit. I noticed you have a harness type belt connected to back seat seat belt latch. What brand harness do you have. Also I installed a hotchkis sway bar in my car. No exhaust modification necessary. Love to look of the swat bar. I dont notice much change in handling. I also installed hotchkis sub frame connectors and detroit speed multi leaf springs 2" drop.
we are on same upgrade path here. I have installed Viking coil over shocks on front of my car. Lower front 2 inch. Love them. Great shocks, adjustability and ride height is perfect for pro touring.
I enjoy your vids on the camaro, I guess you can say that I'm a little biased as I also have a 69 Camaro. I wanted to ask, which vendor did you purchase the headliner kit? I want to do the same with mine. Appreciate the recommendation and keep putting out the great content.
I went through www.classiccarinterior.com/1969-camaro-molded-headliner-madrid-vinyl.html because the cost of the headliner was the same as everywhere else but they offered free shipping. Some other sites wanted $150+ for shipping because the package is so large.
Thanks for this!! Currently restoring my 69 and this was super helpful!
Wow !
Hey, nice car!!! I want to put the same headliner in my 69, with time passed are you still happy with the headliner?

Thanks for the memories of restoring my old 69 camaro 30 some years ago. peace
What seats are those?
love your camaro!
Thanks! I should have some more videos with it very soon now that it's back on the road again.

can you put insolation also?
I have Lizard Skin sound and heat insolation throughout the car. You could do something like Dynamat as well.
My man, that looks so good!
So stoked to see this build! New favorite channel on RUclips!
Awesome! Glad you're enjoying the channel.
Wiring man wiring, looks like a blind plumber did your wiring. Other than that great looking car.
Yeah, I want to rewire the whole car soon.
Couldn't find the link to the steering box

Classic Octane Did you get the lizard skin in those areas too? Planning on coating my interior with it.
I did but there are still large openings so it's not super effective in those areas.
Great stuff dude. You are pretty handy with all that stuff, lining looks cool😎

Classic Octane: thanks!
Nice job, looks great !
There are wires lying on the header near the steering box.
The sun visor spacers @ 12:10 in the video, did that come with your one piece headliner because mine did not.
Yes, theycame in the box with mine.
@@ClassicOctane Thanks, I just called TMI so they could send me some.
Where is the link for the steering box?
