“Robin Hobb” is seriously my hero!!! The Realm of the Elderlings” serious is HANDS DOWN my favorite in that genre. I read all of the books, in order and am listening to the audiobooks for a second time. She did the thing which makes for a fantastic fantasy story and made me not only feel that I know these characters but LOVE them and care very much what happens to them. The characters development is astounding! I adore GOT but I genuinely feel that her books would make for an even better tv series. There are things she has done things in her books which I’ve never seen before which are rare and wonderful.
My heart was seriously broken when the series concluded and I can only hope that she might consider some more spin offs for this fabulous world she’s managed to make feel so very real. ✊🏼

Amazing writer. To answer the question about starting from the beginning. My first read was the 2nd book of the Rain Wild Chronicles, which I kind of accidentely bought at a second hand book store. I really liked it, so I read the whole Rain Wild Chronicle series. After that I took up the Lifeship Traders and now I'm reading the Farseer trilogy.
Reading the 2nd book of RWC was a bit confusing, but not so much that it made me stop reading. The story still had a strong hold on me. Reading the different trilogies out of order has been a lot of fun, because you go back in time and suddenly some things of the newer trilogies makes total sense.

Just started reading the Farseer Trilogy. What a writer! Such beautiful, poetic writing with characters that come to life in a way that is very rare in not just fantasy but other genres. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the trilogy and also the other books in the series

I LOVE YOUR BOOKS!!! Hi there, I read your books in 2008, and when I travelled to Sweden for a 1 month vacation, I found more of your books there in Gothenburg (Goteborg)! I was so excited! I have since read most of your books and remember certain parts that you made stand out, such as the scaly skin of the dragon or Night Eyes... You are an excellent writer and I thank you for your talent! Best wishes!

As for me, I first read the Farseer trilogy but then somehow missed the second trilogy and started the current one. It was actually very interesting to read it that way. Somehow all the references to the events of the second trilogy made it intriguing, not confusing. Of course, then I finished the second trilogy, then the Liveship Traders and finally the Rain Wild Chronicles. Only the Rain Wild Chronicles explained some stuff from the current trilogy that I didn't quite get when reading it.

Hehe, it does kind of look like a Behelit. Maybe she's just biding her time before she transcends into the God Hand.
