I love early ice, ready to get to some better spots but fun to venture a few feet and get it started!
Ice forming in Michigan, last year early ice on a small pond me n my buddies seen a snapping turtle up close to shore in about a foot of water it’s was 3x the size of that one but cool tho, keep fishin
that would be so cool to see, I thought they just buried in the mud and done, not sure how they don't suffocate under the ice like that

Really appreciate it, we plan on doing a lot of early ice bass fishing as soon as we can get across to our honey hole. We went as far out as we dared but felt good to get a couple greens up top!

Haha, I'm glad I didn't die too! That snapping turtle was shocking just right away. I gotta give Matt credit for being a kid and bowling the ice chunks -- wishing the audio didn't cut out on the first one as it made the island lol

@@fgmateusz9652 I just run the straight 10. I'm always swamped if I do more I end up not getting any sleep and work extra to break even. Makes it not worth my time at that point if that makes sense
You and Matt are nuts . There is no way in hell I would have been out on that shit. The fish can wait a week. Stay safe No fish is worth the risk.
Hahaha, the longer we were out there the more at ease we felt. Went with caution, the buddy system, float suits and a warm place close by if need be. That being said I wouldn't recommend it for most people

I honestly thought they might be an overpriced rod - nope -- absolutely love the arch angel one piece rod. I have 2 other actions in stock I'm thinking about pulling to have 3 total for jigging rods -- I just need some of the Black betty freefalls or trick shops to come out this year (not the ghost)
