Hi I have an issue with my 2011 kia optima hybrid, when the engine is cold everything is perfectly working. As soon as the engine gets hot, thats the start of having the issue. Especially when the weather get hot. When the engine is hot, basically from driving it, and slowing down or coming from a complete stop, when i try to accelerate, the electric motor does not respond and it waits til the engine takes over in order for you to be able to drive or move the car (about 3 seconds delay from a complete stop). So when the engine gets rest a bit, then its all goes back to normal (well not quite, electric motor responds but not too long til it switches to gas motor). Basically its all about when it gets hot (weather and the engine). Do you think its something like a sensor?
My car suddenly overheated and among other problems, I just noticed that the device that the heater hose (lower, intake?) connects to broke where the hose is clamped, and all fluid emptied out. I’m trying to confirm the name of this part. It’s near the lower firewall on the driver’s side. I think it’s called the “auxiliary pump”. I have a 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid. Does anyone know if that sounds right and if so, do I replace from the top or under the car? I can’t find a video anywhere. Thanks in advance.
super helpful.
thank you.
