Great video, Scott. I've got a question on another topic but I can't work out how or where is the correct spot for it. Another US lawfare sanctions package is going through the Senate aimed at hurting the economy here. It's a peripheral point given that the US govt is seeking to do the most damage to Nicaraguan people themselves, but there is a section of S.1881 that is also aimed at US citizens in Nicaragua. As it stands, it would prohibit US citizens from investing in the Nicaraguan economy, which certainly seems like about as broad a catch-all as the US govt could write. I wonder if you could look at it and give your take?
Immediately no, but eventually... When you can't find what you want. I have a great house I rent in Leon, but the there is no pool. I would like something more modern and with a pool. As far as I know it doesn't exist here in Leon. So... I either move to another place (Santo Domingo of Managua has houses like this, but I really don't want to live IN Managua) or I have to buy property and build, which I am not looking forward to either...
@@allencrist5797 exactly. I don't understand the rush to buy a place or secure a long term rental before arriving there. If I didn't have dogs, I'd stay in a hotel while looking for a house or apartment to rent. Have pets? Get an AirBnB that allows them. It seems more expensive, but everything is included and ready to go. I don't even want to sign a lease in an area I'm not extremely familiar with...forget about buying a house!
In all cases, the standard is to have the number to call (seller or the seller's agent or someone claiming to be the seller's agent who slapped their number on a property no one is checking - real problems) on the front of the property as you walk by if it is actively for sale, or you have to knock and ask if it is passively for sale.
Thats is the most valuable single piece of advice I have heard you give
Paying extra to be ripped off extra. And my dog can say he's a realstate agent. 😂 those words just made my day.
Thank you, sure glad i listed to this video.
I've notice a lot of developers have had big plans for Nicaragua & cool looking websites, then somehow the development plans never take off
True, but I think that the problem is older than that. 2018 triggered an increase in the problem, but it was a speculation market even before that.

I'm making a video on this. It'll be up in about a week.
Great video! I love it when you get excited trying to get the message across.😂
jaja, thanks :)
I actually like this answer😊
Real estate agents are same as a used car salesman. Not sure which is worst.
Here is a challange- at least for me. Can you do a clip on selling a house? TO include pricing ?
Tell us what you really think about real estate agents. LOL
Ha your dog can tell who’s real estate agent? Or I heard wrong? Are you real estate licensed agency in Nicaragua ??
I can't think of any situation where someone would NEED to immediately buy a house in Nicaragua. Just rent!

difficult thing is land. I am looking at land and how do I find out who owns it. There is no door to knock on. 😅
Always use your lawyer for this. You don't try it yourself.
How do you get info for seller or seller’s agent?

ok it makes more sense now. Thank you. I will definitely be preparing to pound the pavement in search of a home.

@@PhillyRay-nv4gg it's the best way. Even if you can find "something" online, the deals won't be.
Yes, this sucks. Honestly it's horrible the amount of work you have to do just to find a decent home to buy.
