Everyone in attendance knew that film was truly influential, and the song basically summed up not only the film character’s journey, but the artist’s struggle. Feeling a song does not mean jumping up and down and screaming and reaching out to the artist. This song has a strong message that resonates with everyone who has had to sacrifice something to get another. The majority in the audience are seasoned artist and mature people who know how to appreciate art and talent when in front of it. The respect and appreciation is shown by the standing ovation that the audience offered at the end of his performance.

When they turned the camera in to the crowd, you can see just about half the room going along with the beat of the song, as well as him singing it. They all recognize him as one on the greatest rapper that ever came in to the business. Seeing everyone giving Eminem a standing ovation made me tear up a bit because they all are recognizing him and to also let everyone know that Eminem is not going anywhere at anytime soon. He won an Oscar for this song, movie & album. When Eminem does go away at some point, people are going to remember him and that's not just his fans, his peers are going to as well. Besides ail the criticism, the backlash & everything else, it didn't stop him from making music & be one of the greatest of all time. He has changed the game of what he has been doing for the past 20 years & continues to do so.
It’s a script bro

Yeah we know
He's the biggest selling artist the last two decades, not just hip-hop,across all genres so yea he's had quite a career but he's done now,his last few records are have been so beneath his first decade and a half,u can tell when an artist doesn't have much left to say!!
Yeah but I feel like some people didn’t appreciate him either which I understand maybe it’s not their type of music but I know some ppl saw Eminem n were like mehh
The orchestra here was phenomenal and an underrated aspect of what made this such a memorable performance.
Greatest rapper of all time
I actually like the fact that he has a vocal backing track going and he doesn't try to bullshit people. He RUNS with that backing track and doesn't try to hide the fact that he's not ALWAYS on the mic.
В тот момент который говорит о том что какой он человек исполнитель и артист когда о нем говорят доктор рефи цент и много вот этих которых крутых рэперов американских говорят и привозной от того вот кто он есть красавчик.
He makes it work. Hes intentionally pausing at certain words and it sounds like an amplified echo at times.
@johnjones1534
How come he doesn't just rap the whole time like he used to. Without taking breaks and stuff
@@shawnadonnelly1471he’s 50 bro give him a break 😭
This is the one song I played 19 years ago when I had a job interview... It was my "shot"... proud to say I'm going on 20 years here... a couple of promotions later... and at each of those interviews for the promotions I go back to this song and "moment". Never stop reaching for stars.
Same here!!!
That's a dope ass story mate.
Totally agree. This song whenever I was to make a leap career wise, really got my adrenaline going and his Not Afraid got me through some really tough times. I remember playing these songs loud whenever I felt scared and alone, singing along to my newborn daughter. Gave me the courage to face the unknown. Now my teenage daughter appreciates his songs as well.
Good story 👏

How he chose to be humble through all the fame & adulation. He never lost his self & stayed true. That is greatness. Megastar.
This man went to war with the world in the early 2000's. People were trying to cancel him including MTV and the Oscar's. He came on on top. F censorship.

Such beautiful words. Em is just an extraordinary person and most importantly a great Father ❤

He did set it on fire. Came here just to see it again. ❤️
Oh yes. This song, that film, was a moment in art/music performance history. Everyone in attendance knew that film was truly influential, and the song basically summed up not only the film character’s journey, but the artist’s struggle. It was brilliantly done, and we haven’t seen anything quite as uniquely special since then.
I think it’s great that he came back to perform. Better late than never, and because he waited so long to make his appearance, an entire generation of people knew the lyrics for it, too. 🤩

The only people in that room who truly felt that song were the ones who were ever inspired by it.
Yes!
A disagree, most people in that room have been chewed up, spit on and booed off stage. They clawed their way to their one shot...and made it. That audience completely understands this song.
