Hey Wolf, glad you like it! Glad seeing you in good health and increasing your catalog of videos in this channel. Yeah, Empyrium is so refreshing to me to listen to due the tenor vocalist that is uncommon in modern metal. I use the word "refreshing" because I remember that after Nightwish became a huge international success after their first three albums (specially, Wishmaster), a huge ammount of new female fronted bands that came after, tried to copy Nightwish, with average music and some soprano-like vocals. It got boring really really fast (I think those were the years when I put aside power and symphonic metal and went back to Death, Black, Doom and Prog metal instead), so to this day, if I see a band that is female fronted, I can check it out, but I remain sceptical until they prove me theyre good.
I agree, a lot of the copycats also sounded very generic. One thing I didn't mention is the gothic feel. Would you say this is more folky or more gothic 🤔 I might switch the playlist on this one...
Great band, never really got around actually listening to them. Going on my playlist now. (One day we do have teach you how to pronounce Heidevolk though)

@@WolfKain hard to tell, but I think Folk elements are just a lil bit more present than goth for this particular song.
@@gustavmetal I agree, it's mainly the vocals that throw me off and make it feel gothy I suppose.
Siguiendo esta linea podrías escuchar a UARAL de mi país Chile. Saludos!
You're the only one I found who react to this. It's really a shame that this music isn't better known.
