  • Apologizes if this video is a little sloppy on the technical side of things (exposure, audio, etc). It was tough to film just the two of us and we had some camera overheating issues.

    So refreshing to see someone coming in with the lighting knowledge instead of camera/lenses. Thanks so much. Would love to see more lighting content!

    I just love your content. Every video of yours teaches something and it's just amazing. Like it's not just theory and some images from the internet. You really explain how things work and for me it feels like I'm on the right side of the internet. I super encourage you to do more and more videos. Great work!

    Awesome breakdown.
    How much level are you losing when bouncing through the lightbridges?

  • @adamhahn3455

    Another awesome review. The CRLS are a serious finesse especially in tight spaces when you want to artificially gain distance from light source to subject. If you can, try getting your hands on some 100cms sometime! They’re awesome

    • @MattAitia
      @MattAitia  9 месяцев назад

      Definitely need to try the 100cms!

    i love these. quick question - for ultrabouces, how would you rate those compared?
    I understand there's differences in rigging, reflectance, ambient fill vs. controlled lighting, and quality on skin, etc., but curious for those on a slightly more simplified budget?

    • @MattAitia
      @MattAitia  10 месяцев назад

      Great question! These are great because you have varying sizes of reflectors and diffusion, so with one light you can create multiple different qualities of light. Ultra bounce usually comes in bigger sizes (4x4, 8x8, 12x12, etc) so it's more suitable to create 1 big source and achieve a softer light. Does that answer your question?

    Hi Matt. I really love what you do, and how you break things down for people like me who are interested in video and lighting. I’d really love if you can take me in as an intern. I’d like to learn from you. Not looking to get paid or anything. Just wanna learn.

    Like your demo! I watched tons of CLRS videos, but wasn’t impressed. The big issue with CRLS demos is they fiddle the reflectors too much during the demo to show different effects before I can even see and compare on a single setting. It would be nice to see a comparison demo between their 50cm and 25cm reflector for the same portrait setting you had in this video. 25cm is a lot easier to travel with.

    Use an HMI not LED. And FFS the lightbridge kit costs more than that cheap LED.
