I know Shinichi and Ran were quite literally made to be together, but I enjoy his interactions with Haibara more than anyone else (except maybe Kid or Hattori).

Yeah, the setup was for Shinichi and Ran be a couple, but Ran and Shinichi was also covered by lies to each other, from Shinichi side specifically. While there are basically nonexistent secrets between Conan and Haibara. Plus their faith in each other abilities is absolute. Plus Ran can't use wits to the very same level. Conan and Haibara can basically read each other minds from the distance, that's just how in synch their thought can become. While with Ran, it's always the past experience.

Completely agree! Like I totally love Ran as a character and I think she and Shinichi would make great ride or die found siblings. But as a romantic couple? I feel like Both of them deserve better than the other. Conan and Ai share circumstances, can keep up with each other intellectually while covering each other's weaknesses. I just feel they have great chemistry together without lying and secrets interfering. (I'm also a big fan of Shinichi and Kaito but that's not this particular video lol)

Well, they're naturally going to fall into those roles. Being the two adults in the Detective Boys group, they take on the guardian roles in taking care of the kids. I really like their partnership dynamic, and when they team up on a case. I don't ship them; Haibara deserves better because Conan takes her for granted...but they're very in sync which is so fun to see.

Well, since Shinichi gets troubled in his double life between his old self (barely used) and his kid self (Conan), I assumed that Shinichi is the love of Ran's life, while Conan is for Ai...
