honestly, even though she's soft on the inside, her karate...she turns into a completely different person
I personally think that Ran has the same problem as Son Goku, an overconfidence (With the difference that he wants to reform people, we already saw that Ran does not give a damn about his victims, he even puts poker creations as if to say "have I done something wrong?"). That has led her to be reckless, she does not measure the danger, and worst of all is that no one tells her absolutely she is, as in the chapter of the paper airplanes (just like Shinichi in the crimson trip, that no one reproaches him for coming only for the excursion but skip the classes). That's favoritism on Aoyama's part, and watch movie 17, Ran faces a spy (who should have military training and orders to go kill), but instead of thinking of something to get the boy out of there and warn his father and the soldiers ... no, he faces and falls into the sea. that is recklessness, he does not know how to measure the situation and even I would say that it is overrated. I only hope that she does not reach the caucus of the men in black and she charges the organization alone, although I already have an idea of what is going to happen.

@@nou-jn6uz the problem is that Ran changes her personality too much to the convenience of the script (as in movie 4 or the meeting with vermouth and Akai in NY), which makes her a character that is not very consistent and chameleonic. She is not as straightforward or effective as praece, and we have seen that she is jealous (episodes 10 and 100 and some crazy idea urged by sonoko), scandalous (remember, the situation of shinichi's confession and the post-credit aquarium scene) and violent ( chapter of the rooster festival, his true personality)

Like in early episodes when shinichi disappears, she suspects conan, in convenience store one, her friend is in danger, so that's why she awakens her detective spirit.

she's a badass once every 100 episodes or so when they remember she does karate. The other times she just says people's names disapprovingly 😔(Shinichi, Conan-kun, Dad, Sonoko ) or is responsible for calling the police
I love Ran for a bunch of reasons, her strength and kindness, such a mother and big sister figure.

Las Lágrimas del Dragón conan has been living in and taken cared by Ran, I mean I wonder if you've noticed that she was the one who's been doing all the house chores and cooking. Those are motherly points in my opinion. Also in my opinion she's not a bad character, first of all she is actually kind, and also she speak with a gentle tone too when ever she speaks to conan and her friends. I mean seriously, compare their tone to how Ran speaks to his father or shinichi compared to speaking with conan and ayumi-Chan. Also, when you say "overconfidence" you make it sound like she has an ego attitude like Shinichi or Kid.
@@JeruuiG Don't you think Shiho does the same with Agasa? And overconfidence is because you get into trouble and your first reaction is to use your fists. We have already seen as she sometimes does with Conan, she gets angry and Thunder intimidates Conan / Shinichi, as in chapter 1. she has faced all kinds of adversaries, such as gangsters, SEALs and ah won. If that doesn't make her trust herself, will you tell me? Someday, if Ran were Real, she would get into a fight that she couldn't win. Ran make her look like a Saiyan, and she is not, it is unreal, she should have some weakness, but she has the favor of Aoyama, which makes the character inconsistent, because her personality changes depending on the script.

Nicole Sandoval leave those people alone, they just wanna find a flaw in Ran. I’ve read too many hate comments about ran from CoAi fans but I never reply to them cuz they are just hopeless. They just think that Haibara is the best girl in detective conan though Ran and Sera are even better. And I love haibara but the way her fans act towards ran really annoy me so much. CoAi fans are just JEALOUS from Ran’s unique personality. Ran is truly an angel, my favorite character in detective conan. I don’t care if others prefer haibara. Every girls in DC has their own unique personality, Ran is a strong woman but a soft heart like what Shinichi describes her, Sonoko is your rich energetic and loud friend that suppports you a lot, I understand that Haibara/Shiho is still moving on from her dark past memories along with her sis death and helping out Shinichi to gathered info about the Org well for me she's strong her intellegence is quite amusing but still gets trauma whenever she feels that she's around the place with BO's members,she might fallin to Shinichi because of his personality but like what Shinichi reason she doesn't want any of her friends involved includes Detective Boys, Agasa Hakase and Conan but I'm hoping we can see Ran x Shiho moments only two of them

Don't you think that makes his karate hypocritical? if Ran finds out about Haibara's story, he won't hesitate to tell her everything. and we have seen how he gets to lose control. Justice is not alone in violence and we have seen Ran becoming more and more violent.

Ran is my favorite character in DC, but until now she doesn't really have character development, this makes me sad :( Sometimes ran doesn't looks like that she's the first female lead :(
i totally agree with you. too sad haibara had more importance and huge character development. gosho always leave ran behind which is very disappointing, i always wish that from now on, the new episodes, she will have a character development until the end. she is my favorite character too.

Yeah, it's so sad. She is my favorite character too. But Gosho seems like didn't give her so much credit and never let her be the hero or saviour. It's so unfair, especially Gosho Even give the annoying detective kids a chance to be playing a hero in "Elevent Striker and Zero The Enforcer" 😔 but why Gosho cannot give Ran the same treatment? She is the female lead for godsake 😏

Ran's weakness is she's too kind. I never hated her or Shinran but after watching episode 649, I'm annoyed by her naivety in certain situations. Being kind to bad people means being cruel to good people. Ofc this is an anime so it all turns out okay. But in real life trying to save a terrorist, suicide bomber or serial killer is just gonna cause more victims. She trusts Shinichi too much to the point where she put herself and others in danger

And due to her kindness saving Vermouth, she protected Shinichi, herself and many more. Maybe Vermouth didn't change so much but there's a chance for turning over a good leaf. Afterall, Ran kinda face you head on and frankly. It's like being seen for who you are for the first time, not the hatred, not the murder or crime. Just you. Rather bad or good, lol. If you really understood what happened in that episode, that was actually one of the most heroic thing she did. The man wasn't even cruel. There was a reason, a motive behind the hostage taking. And as what Ran said, even Shinichi would do the same thing. Isn't it unfair? When Shinichi do the same thing (because as you can observe he always saves the "bad" people), you all praise him but Ran? Yes, she saved the hostage taker from being killed and SHE SAVED ALL THEIR LIVES BECAUSE SHE TRUSTED SHINICHI. That was actually a good duo, someone with a kind heart like Ran plus someone with a genius mind, which is Shinichi. The ending? No one was fucking killed and the truth was revealed. That's was waaayyy more of a good ending rather than wanting someone to die just because YOU are about to die. How selfish are you? You must consult Ran on how to be selfless.

How do you feel when your childhood friend or rather the person you love who has always been with you since childhood suddenly disappears? won't you guys bother or cry? Ran has tried to report to the police but is blocked by Professor Agasa who says Shinichi's condition is fine. However, Shinichi was still absent and never gave any news. Where should she see this incident other than with tears? Ran also often cries when she hears sad stories and stories of tragic murders in front of her eyes. That means Ran has high empathy. It's good, is not it? She is able to dive into feelings and understand a person. Yes, in the story, she is a crybaby, what can you do? That's one of the attractions that Shinichi likes. Since the first time we met, Shinichi has been given the title 'Cry Baby'. So, from the start, Shinichi had no problem with his character at all. The problem is, of course, haters who can't see happy people.
And so many things make us love Ran, when we first met Kazuha who was so curt at her (because she was thought to be close to Heiji) Ran also asked what made Kazuha so upset. As soon as she found out the reason was because the clothes she was wearing were similar to those worn by Heiji, she immediately changed the clothes THAT TIME. In the car in the middle of the city. This amazed Kazuha that they became good friends from then on. Likewise with Haibara. Ran, who sensed that Haibara didn't like her, continued to be friendly and gave her more attention. Especially when Ran helped her who was almost killed by Vermouth, Haibara felt Ran's kindness was similar to her sister, Akemi Miyano. Since then Haibara has 'blessed' ShinRan's relationship and turned to Higo

To be honest, I don't like Conan movies lately, the Conan movie production team looks like CoAi Shipper, they deliberately make Haibara more in the spotlight + play a lot of roles so that Haibara fans are getting more and more while Ran as the main role is sinking or depreciating, they deliberately make Conan Movies like that so that people who are new to Detective Conan fall in love with Haibara while Ran is shown a few scenes and doesn't play much of a role so that they don't like her and think she's not important, it's really annoying. DCM is now showing more CoAi moments that should be ShinRan moments. ShinRan is the main couple but why do they show more CoAi moments, DCM is now not based on manga, Shinichi is in love with Ran and is even willing to risk his life for his lover and vice versa. I followed detective conan manga and anime from when I was in elementary school until now in college, and I hope they get married.

0:25 Honestly one or my favorite karate moments. It's not shown here, but she tries elbowing the window first, but can't get a good footing/foundation cuz she's running alongside it. She catches bad guys off guard and that usually gets her the instant win, so I enjoy when there's actually a struggle 0u0

If only her karate skills or strength weren't exaggerated for dramatic purposes, or at least I feel this way because I doubt a real martial artist could break doors (normal or garage ones) easily or crack any concrete material with a punch or kick be that car glass, streetlight pole, her father's detective agency table which isn't exactly soft, etc., or even beat much taller persons, as a considerable reach disadvantage is simply too much to overcome no matter how skilled one is in karate.
Admittedly, I find those situations rather amusing, if anything, especially when she threatens her father & Conan to get her will.
Yes, animes may exaggerate things for dramatic purposes, which itself is totally okay & a show, after all.
However, if I had to choose one thing that bugs me the most about DC, it's the above.
