I was hoping the primary colors would blend more to make different colors. Thanks for doing the little experiment it was educational for me. I did something like this with acrylic paint that was mixed heavily with water and when I combined them I got different colors going down my canvas, so maybe the difference is just how well the paint mixes with itself.
Thank you ! All wonderful ! Like how you use different effects of brands to mix colors paints n see which to like great 👍🏼 idea ! So can learn use it and I do like # 1 and 4 . 💗
Beautiful baby!! I love them all. I think I like Floetrol lines that blended. The GAC 800 is so shiney, I love that. The polypour really shows the holograms. The last one, the Liquitex colors are the best. So 4 is my fave. I truly appreciate your time and effort to test them all allowing us to see how they worked. You are very kind to share your experiment. That is talent, and generosity at best. Love you. Happ-y Paint-ing!!! Blessings. Liz 👩🎨🎨🖌🇺🇸🍀💖🦓⭐
I love the gac 800 and Liquitex. I have used these with other mediums, and if I don’t stir well or add a drop of water, it dries with little pebbles everywhere!!!! Thanks Molly!!!!! Love your channel
wonderful experiment, thank you for doing this! I love side by side comparisons of different products like this! I kinda wish you had skipped the white altogether, because the sparkle of those pigments is just magical and i feel the white takes away from that somewhat. P.S. I love all your videos, you have such a sweet personality, and share your knowledge and experience so freely and I admire you so much, thanks for all your hard work! Much love and respect to you
Here's my order.... #4 #1. #3. #2 Best pattern was #1. Oh, and I'm just a novice starting out. #1 may beat them with varnish on it. Really enjoy these videos & appreciate them. Starting is more difficult than I thought. So many options on pouring mediums. Thanks so much for doing these.
I definitely prefer No. 2: GAC800. I agree that we have to paint the sides before. Molly, I love your energy. I enjoy all your videos. We learn so much! Thank You!
I really like them all, but I like #4 probably the best - I find with these type canvases being so square edged the coverage is sometimes not good on the edges. I like the rounded edge canvases. Another beautiful demonstration!!!
Good to know you can use primary elements with different mediums. My favorite was the Gac 800. It was a cool design in the end. But they each things I liked about them. I’m going to try the Golden gloss medium too.
Hi Molly, thanks for this! I wanted to mention that the polypour is an acrylic binder while the others are pouring mediums. Pigment needs an acrylic binder to become paint. And then a pouring medium is added to the paint to assist with flow. (For this conversation, we can call Floetrol a pouring medium, though it isn't really...) The reason you got the results you did is because you had three that didn't include an acrylic binder... and one that had an acrylic binder but no flow aid. Notice that the only one that adhered to the sides of the canvas was the Polypour, the acrylic binder. Pigment plus polypour is the same as, or equal to, a liquitex basic or a golden paint... except that you get to control how much pigment is included in the paint recipe. It might be interesting to try another experiment where you mix the pigments with polypour... and THEN add the paint mix to the three different pouring mediums.... i.e three canvases instead of four. Thanks!
While I do agree with you, liqitex pm and gac800 do have some binders in them, they are not just flow aids in my opinion. Floetrol I completely agree not a good binder. But I think yes you are right, the pigments needed the polypour to stay together better which is why the company created it that way in the first place. You in essence make paint by combining the pigment and binder together. This video was more because people didn't always have the polypour and wanted to see how the different mediums would react with the pigments. Thank you for your comment, very helpful!
@@MOLLYSARTISTRY yes I agree that there is likely some amount of binder in the golden and liquitex pouring medium. Based on the experiment in the video it seems that there isn't enough to use these for the purpose of an acrylic binder. Sure! It could be used. No doubt! It's just the pigments are pretty expensive so for me, I want to use it when it's in it's best form. :)
Molly your the best 🤗 I have binged watched your videos 🤗 and try it to copy Some of them they never turns out LOL! I start and pause and start und pause !!!!! You are very appreciated 🤗 I just moved to Florida from Michigan 😄
Looking at them at a distance (where the camera shows all four in the one shot), the GAC 800 has the brightest and more distinct colours. Thanks Molly ❤️
Think the liquitex is best. Floetrol next. All are beautiful colors, polypour least fav! Would love to see resin works next for something a little different..your works are lovely though and your videos are so clear and concise! Keep them coming!! Thx!!
Very helpful info, thanks so much. You mentioned a couple of times that you weren't going to torch but you never quite said why, I'm curious about that. Thanks for all your videos, I love watching and exploring with you
GAC800 did not look all that great wet but dried beautiful. The Flotrol colors were nice, but you would need an extra step with varnish. They were all pretty in their own way, but I think I liked the GAC800. THANK YOU MOLLY for showing us this demonstration. And I did have to adjust my little bell for notifications.😀
thank you elaine! yes the gac800 came out very nice. Thanks for the bell! Yes, the floetrol does need the extra step, but just like with regular pours you can get some great shine with a few coats of liquitex gloss or high gloss varnish!
it's a tossup between Floetrol and Liquitex. All are beautiful though! For me, sealing the floetrol one is easy enough, which I would do even with one of those gloss mediums ... just to seal the painting. Thanks for sharing this experiment!
#4 is my fav for sure... I really like the cells of #1, I think it just brings something extra to the pieces. #'s 2,3,& 4 as you moved them around almost had a metallic look. They all look good though!
Thank you, Molly, for the cool experiment! I like GAC 800 and the Liquitex the best. My least favorite is the Color Art. I like the Floetrol colors but prefer a shine.
They are all pretty. I like them all Can't choose a favorite. Thre middle two did pour and spread very fast. You'd have to be careful not to loose colors off the edges. As for the colors I like the 1st one, as I wouldn't want the paint to pull away from the edges. I just like the thicker paint. The GAC800 # 2 would be my next choice They all are beautiful though. I'd have all of them on hand. You'd never guess that all were from the same pigments !!! Thank you for your experiment
Thank you for this thoughtful experiment, so interesting! Hands down, the GAC800 results are the most beautiful. I might add PVA glue to thicken it up.
I wanted an unbiased opinion for media for the Primary Elements (since I don't currently have any PolyPour but do have Primary Elements). From my search results, yours seemed most likely to provide what I need - unbiased. Love the experiment and now, it's time to watch the video you posted an hour ago.
I originally used vivid enamel ( colour arte product originally for these pigments) with primary elements which was fabulous but much too expensive to get in Canada so then switched to floetrol and /or an equivalent to the liquitex pouring medium. Of these I actually like the floetrol the best ...paint the sides and add a coat of resin...beautiful. Great demonstration.
I like them all. I think #4 is my favorite. Other than the side coverage, I love that they look like a set. Love your channel. I've saved some videos and have been taking notes. I've tried pouring before with the string pull and it was a disaster. 😂 but I'm gonna try it again with the blow dryer.
What did you guys think of the experiment? Which one do you like best?
I was hoping the primary colors would blend more to make different colors. Thanks for doing the little experiment it was educational for me. @@jeffm3283 yes, it matters the pouring medium and the consistency for mixing on the canvas
Can you mix them? Like say floetral with pouring medium? I think the Gac held the colors best. So I like that one best.
Number 4 is lovely. Thank you the experience x
@@joanbentivegna6413 yes I mix the 3 of them together all the time, I dont normally mix polypour with anything
My favorites are floetrol and Liquitex I think they both turned out beautiful
Thank you ! All wonderful ! Like how you use different effects of brands to mix colors paints n see which to like great 👍🏼 idea ! So can learn use it and I do like # 1 and 4 . 💗
I like the Liquidtex 1st and the Flowetron 2nd. Great job Molly!!!!

#4👍🙋♀️... I just got my first bottle of liquitex 😁... excited to try it! Thank you for sharing! Peace and Love Always, Lorri 💜💙💚💛🧡❤
Liquitex Pouring Medium by far looks the prettiest to me, love that the blue made an appearance! Second best to me is the gac800. Great colors....
i absolutely love the liquitex one, turned out so beautiful
I agree
I got these elements today and I have never seen such vibrant colors. I’m a fan
I love the gac 800 and Liquitex. I have used these with other mediums, and if I don’t stir well or add a drop of water, it dries with little pebbles everywhere!!!! Thanks Molly!!!!! Love your channel
So interesting that four different mediums can end up with different, unique pictures and colors.
I liked the number 2 JAC 800, ITS very glossy and the colors are sharper and marmorised. Very beautiful 😍😍😍
The floetrol and liquitex are the best in my opinion i love how they turned out
My favorite is the Liquitex but I tend to be a sucker for blue :)
Mine too
wonderful experiment, thank you for doing this! I love side by side comparisons of different products like this! I kinda wish you had skipped the white altogether, because the sparkle of those pigments is just magical and i feel the white takes away from that somewhat.

They are all beautiful and would look great hanging together. If I had to choose one it would be #4 the Liquitex.
I like no 1
Will look awesome with resin.
Love ya Molly
GAC 800 is my favourite, Liquitex and Floetrol nr 2 and 3 place, and the vivid last. Appreciate you testing this for us Molly! 😊😊😊😊
Here's my order.... #4 #1. #3. #2

I like them all! My favorites are 2 and 4 if I have to choose. They look great together!!
I like 3 and 4 the best, all of them look great. Thanks for helping to learn the differences.
Good to know you can use primary elements with different mediums. My favorite was the Gac 800. It was a cool design in the end. But they each things I liked about them. I’m going to try the Golden gloss medium too.
Right now you are my favorite artist.
My vote is Floetrol. Thank you for this video. I’m a new painter and I’m learning so much from your videos!
NJ here.... I love #4 liquidtex!!!! - awesome experiment thanks for sharing
I like the colors in #4 the best, but I think the finish is best on #3. Thanks for sharing!
I love the second one it’s very intriguing but the four of them are gorgeous thanks for that knew experience.
No 4 wet. No 2 dry. Thanks for putting your experiment hat on for us.
Enjoy spending time with you 🙏 Karen NZ
I love spending time with you guys too! For those that have been with ne for a while I really feel like I'm taking to you in my garage lol!
I prefer the liquitex because of the colors that surfaced. No. two is also beautiful.thank you for the experiment.
My favorites are 1 & 4. I like how the colors blended in the floetrol & the few cells, but I like how the liquitex held the design.

What a helpful idea to experiment with. I was surprised at how much the colors changed from how bold they were in the raw form.
I think 4 only because all the colors are showing. I think it’s very pretty.
Love them all but number 4 is prettiest to me.
I loved the second one I liked the design and the gloss hope to try it for myself

love the three on the right. They look beautiful. Thank you for doing this experiment.
I would say that 4 and 2 turned out the best. BTW you are beautiful inside and out. Thank you for being such a great teacher.
Thank you so much cindy!
I like how vivid the colors are with the liquitex pouring medium. I like how it blended but is still colorful with the floetrol.
I like the matte finish of Floetrol on many of my projects but #4 Liquitex is my favorite of these. I enjoy your videos.
4 is beautiful Molly. Great test.
I think they are all cool designs. I like the 4th one the best.
Omg Molly! Excellent experiment, thank you for sharing.

The flowtrol is my favorite. Matt but you can varnish and have a favorite gloss. They are all pretty
2 and 3 my favs❤️❤️❤️ I could deal with 4 for sure👍👍👍
Design wise, i loved #1 Liquitex, #2 GAC800, #3 can't remember. Poly pour!😄, and #4 Floetrol.
I like #2 the GAC 800. It looks crisper. Thank you for the great demo.
Great tutorial ❣️ thanks Molly

Thank you very much for show us the different results.
This help me to try another mixtures.
I like them all but I like the liquid text so much better. beautiful job
I like #4 Liquitex the best... GAC #2 dried surprisingly beautiful though!!!!!!!
Loved this experiment and my first fav was GAC800 and then Liquitex. But I am very interested in these colors! So beautiful.
GAC800 did not look all that great wet but dried beautiful. The Flotrol colors were nice, but you would need an extra step with varnish. I love the liquitex and the gac800
I liked them all but 3 & 4 were really nice.
I liked the GAC800 results best because the colors seemed to stay in more vivid lines. The texture also looks great.
I loved #1 and #4, thanks for sharing 😀
They all look pretty but my favourites are 2, 3 and 4. Thank you for your videos. Very informative!!!
I think Floetrol and Liquitex PM. Great experiment! Thanks
Those are all beautiful. I like the Liquitex the most then the Polypour. Toss up with GAC and floetrol to me.

They look lovely, I'm glad your not obsessed with cells
I watched this for the perfect training video. I am new to pouring, and am ready to put an Amazon order. I like the Liquitex, thank you blessings
I really like the Liquitex piece, but all of them look ethereal!
The third one for me ! But all are very pretty!
All of them are so beautiful
Thank you for doing this test! Very informative! I just got my PE from CA in the mail today! Thanks Molly!
I like Foetrol and GAC 800 ( mixed together, matte and shiny ) and Liquitex because of the colors 🎨👩🎨👍
#2 I like the glossy-ness. But all beautiful and iridescent ❤️ would be a perfect set 👍
I love the depth and color that the GAC 800 gave, even though it was the thinnest
