So glad you did Kim Fields!! Love her and her Mother Chip, and little sister Alexis. Getting to her reality t.v. stint...I've always felt Kim was out of place on RHOA. See, if she was anything like her character, Regine on Living Single, she might have lasted longer. BUT....Kim is NOTHING like Regine. Kim is the epitome of "acting is just my day job". She's a homebody, she's very religious/spiritual, she's non-confrontational, and her world revolves around her family. When the ladies went on a trip, Kim cried because it was the first time she would be leaving her kids for more than a day. She didn't like the idea of not being able to bring her husband and kids along. Honestly--and not knocking RHOA--but she was and always will be too good for that show. She just doesn't have drama in her life like that. I don't know her personally. I'm just going off what she said herself about her time on the show.

Kenya was the mean girl before Kim came on. She was a bytch to Phadrea and Porsha because she was jealous.
Kim was my favorite on the housewives. I felt like she showed a realistic depiction of what a “housewife” is. She wasn’t for all the glits , glam, and DRAMA. I think she went in completely mislead about what reality tv is. I’m sure she thought the transition from sitcoms to reality tv would be similar but I think she got a rude awakening. I still loved watching her, everyone called her “boring” but I found her so refreshing on the show.

I remember her from "Facts of Life" - she and the cast had such great chemistry. One of the most memorable FoL episodes was when she met the teenage prostitute who was being pushed into recruiting Tootie into her line of work. Kinda heavy for its time, but so good. 💐
I just watched this the other day!!! They have episodes on Tubi. I love her character there, and yea, that episode was SO intense, I can’t believe they did a script like that in the late 70s. She was so awesome then as a child actress tho… 😊

Kim did get no respect on RHOA but none of them has had the career she had and was jealous of her relationship with her husband. She was to good for that pretend show. Kim field’s character as Regine was a buyer for department store/ boutique. Made me want to take that major in college and ended up doing stylist work and other jobs similar to that character. Love living single was my favorite show for showing the different careers for all of the characters.

Kim Fields has always been and will always be my queen. I’m only 21 years old, but I happen to watch and LOVE The Facts of Life, and I adore her on it. I looooooove Living Single so much, and even though I haven’t seen The Upshaws in a long time, I loved her in the first season!!! She is absolutely amazing, and I agree she is black Hollywood royalty. As for the Real Housewives, I truly don’t understand why she did that either. She is way too good for that trash😂

I really love how playful and not callous (?) the girls on living single were. I had to stop watching Mo as an adult because of just how unnecessarily mean they were to Kim cos of her weight.
I know my show was living single, family matters, the jamie foxx show ,the wayans bros, sister sister, girlfriends,the parkers, moesha, and the parent hood,and smart guy I miss shows that will spend you a message!
