That basement would make a great living room with a giant flatscreen. Cheers🍷
Yeah someone else said that too! Nice cool movie room in the hot summer. Little bar…. Bathroom so you wouldn’t even need to go upstairs.
Its a beautiful property ❤! I wish it wasn't so modern..love the old historic charm of Italy. Thanks for sharing.
Well, the good news is, you’ll have lots and lots of heavy wood beams and Tire cottage floors to choose from. Properties like this are actually pretty rare especially in the historic center. But Italy is the epicenter worldwide for high style and ultra modern. So not surprising that some of their houses look like that. Thanks for watching and I’ll be doing more old-school stuff very soon. Like next Saturday…
Ya HV
This is amazing for the price point! I do prefer more traditional Italian style, but a great buy here!
Thanks for showing this wonderful property. It shows so nicely.
Glad you like it. Top quality for price. Seriously well done place. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
What an incredible home at an incredible value. wow! Thanks for all you do, Brad.
My pleasure! I really like what I’m doing. So great living here.
@@BradsWorld did you get my email regarding the ZTL fine in montepulciano?
Beautiful property
The design is beautiful, very modern, the best part? The unfinished basement! Why? Cause i love rustic architecture, stones, bricks, etc. As a matter of fact even though the apartment is really nice, i do not want anything resembling what we can find in the US! I want something with real character, unique, and with history.
A " cave " will be ideal for me! 😂 .
I already started reading your book brad, and highly recommend it to all here. I will give it my thumbs up 👍 on amazon.
Thanks Ana! That basement will be very neat. Just needs some imagination to see it. I’d do the wine room and a small lounge area. That’s just me!
Thanks for the shout out on Amazon. 😍
Love it. Thanks for showing it. Soon!
Good! The sooner the better.
I really love this house. ❤😊
Thank you for showing this property. I dont care for any of the tile. Id paint it, til i find something more Italian style looking. Hey . Im sure someone will like it. Im glad they didnt finish the cantina. That just might sell this property faster.
Great price
Hi Brad and Olivia...
Thanks for Le View... I agree, buy a house at this price point FINISHED, and not get a cheap bargain you need to rebuild.
Excellent....
Nice to see you again B!
Love this, too! And close to Rome!
Maybe inherited. Loved for sure. I'd buy it.
Wonderful home! Nice finishes. Love it!
Thank you! Cheers! I know it’s not all heavy beams and Terra Cotta floors, but it is nice to see something different sometimes.
I like the Old world charm better ..Too modern for me
Yeah, there is a lot of both styles here. People forget that not all places here are old world. Probably only 20% of places are more than 100 years old. Italy is the epicenter of high design and ultra modern. I know a lot of people here that HATE the terra cotta floors and tiny windows etc.
But there is something for everyone and I show a lot of old school places so you’re in the right place!
Thanks for watching and see you next Saturday!
Great video. Thanks!
You're welcome! More to come next weekend.
Stunning property for the price
Yep. Mystifying how they can do it so nice for the price.
Lovely. Thank you. JUST starting your book.
Great. I hope you find some tidbits in it that make it worth your time!
Terracina is pretty close, so that I consider a bonus 😀
Lot's of things around, and the town itself isn't too bad... BRAD
Nice find Brad and Claudia!
It is a really nice apartment! If modern is your thing.
Great home, Brad and Olivia!
Saw you in town today, Brad, but you were busy showing someone around. I’ll introduce myself if I see you in the next few weeks. Taking a class at Il Sasso..
Please do!! Talk to you soon!!
that's a value.
Nice, but lacks the traditional italian character...
I think the old apartments are great. I always say in my videos how I love big beams and fireplaces. But I think when you have a place that was probably a shell without floors like this was, it’s OK not to recreate that. I was in sofa biz for over 25 years and Italians had the most modern looking sofas. It is a modern place so a lot of them don’t want clay floors and clay ceilings etc. 🤷🏼♂️
Lucky for you we mostly show traditional! So hurry up and come get yours!
Very nice
So nice. Different that most of what we see.
I’m interested in moving to Italy. Either part time or as a retired person. I qualify. Also, I travel with 3-cats. Glad to have found your channel.
Glad you found me too!
Personally, I would put carpet on the stairs and a handrail of some kind. Yes, this is a move-in-ready home. For Italy, the cost is just a bit high but not a show-stopper. 1500 sq ft is a bit small but they seem to use the space very well. I take it that the basement is not part of the 1500 sq ft. It looks like this gives the property over 2000 in total? What about outside? I have to buy your book!
What a good deal on a beautiful home.
It really is! Not everyone’s cup of tea but nice and for the price amazing. Some people think every apt in Italy should be with terra cotta floors and wood beams but it isn’t the case.
@@BradsWorld Italian design is contemporary/modern for today’s lifestyle. Have a great day Brad. 🙂
I am new to your channel. Want to retire in Italy, this is a great apt for the price! A bit modern for my taste but it does have that, what looks like, a cantina 🥰❤
It’s a cantina. And could be fabulous when done.
Looks like a great deal for the price 👍
I don’t know how they can do it for this price. Crazy.
I love the property. I would like to buy it but the price is to high. Depends how much he îs în a Harry to sell. The the 2 other bedrooms are s-o small.... you said its not finished what it needs more?
Hi Brad and Olivia. Is that a fireplace in the living room? You never focused on it, and I didn't see a flu.
That backroom in the basement would make a really good cozy TV room with a huge flat-screen.
I had a great uncle who would drive us around when I was a kid smoking a Cubana with the windows rolled up. Ugh! Turn me green. Hate em.
That is an exceptional price!
I'd put some sort of railing on those steps to the first floor for the safety of the wine drinkers.
Ciao
I saw that after. Not a real one. Maybe electronic. There was no flu up through the next level so…. Agreed on railing. Easy fix!
I love this. Do you have more like this?
Check the agent website at AlfanoRealEstate.com! They have neat stuff and super agtordable
Great and agree how can they do it for the price.. Thank you, Brad and Oli🎉😂
Our pleasure! Great new ones coming up next week!
Hi Brad! Maybe I missed it, but I saw a view through a screen in the video. But is there an actual view window? If you can’t see the outside well, you might as well be in any city. Also, I’m looking for a place you can lock up and go like the one in this video, but if you have a car, you would need a place to lock that up as well. Like a garage. And finally, how far and how fast can you get to an airport for international travel? Thank you for this informative “hobby” that you create for us!
It’s in the historic center so not many side windows. There were windows both in kitchen and also in upstairs master and hall bath that all faced towards mountains.
Odds are always against finding a place that is super cool like this and with secure parking. But you can always find a garage to buy or rent. Just ask the agents.
It’s about 90 mins by car to Fiumicino (Rome International) airport. You can always use Google maps for “Priverno” and see all the restaurants, hospitals, train stations, markets, dentists, tanning salons…. Whatever it is you want!
Glad you like my hobby! It’s fun and I feel like I help a lot of people.
Love it!
I like it, it has the modern feel that we are used to, but does it have outside space, and how about parking your car?
No outside space. That’s a real premium inside historic center. Car parking is within 100M.
Awesome!
What about parking space ?
You would get a residential parking pass. Covered parking not included for the price but not too difficult to find something around the area that you could buy.
Seems like a great deal for the money + already remodeled. I'd be surprised if you could buy something and remodel it for that kind of money. Other properties in that same town look like there near the same price or higher and would likely need a remodel as well (depending on your taste of course). The one bit of a downside is getting to this spot. On Google maps it appears to be off of a one lane "road" (alley) and walk down. I suppose it would be fine with parking nearby and use a cart for groceries etc.
That cantina could be finished off as another bedroom too.
What's the internet situation in a town like that? Cell internet? Starlink?
EDIT: Looks like Starlink covers Italy.
I have Starlink on my grape Farm in Tuscany. I get up to 200 MB down but I max out at about 12 to 14 MB up. It’s only €40 a month and the equipment was only €230 I believe.
Regular landline Internet when you’re inside of a city is pretty awesome here. Very high speed. But I’ll take living in the country with so so Internet any day!
This may seem like a dumb question or maybe I am just missing it, but where was the refrigerator? Is it supposed to go along the wall on the way in where the table was at? BTW thanks Brad for doing the legwork
It was the first long cabinet,he just didnt open
Yeah…. What James said. Usually they build them in. And they are smaller than you may be used too. Daily shopping and all.
The selling point is the basement. That looks like another apartment unit or a huge bedroom, unofficially because it is underground. Could the wall between the two tiny bedrooms upstairs be removed to make one bigger bedroom?
Yes on the wall removal. I don’t know why they did that. People get wrapped up in the bedroom count I guess. I’d would have had it be a 2/3. Don’t think a bedroom downstairs but a pool table or wine collection or big screen and wine collection! Nice and cool in Summertime!
❤❤❤❤❤ia this your book guys?
Yes! It’s a real book and everything!!
How much would it cost to finish the basement/hobby room?
Probably about €8-10.000
@@BradsWorld not terrible
Nobody talk about high seismic risk
I’ve talked about it a lot on past videos. Even put up seismic maps. Tuscany is very safe. Western umbria too. Lazio very safe. All these areas are Green the lowest risk.
I don’t do videos in Abruzzo, Molise, etc. Risk too high. I lived through the big San Francisco Quake of 1989. I lived four blocks from the 880 freeway collapse at Jack London Square. Don’t ever want to go through that again! 🫣
Who do I get in touch with for this property?
Claudia@alfanorealestate.com. It’s in the video at end.
do Italians use toilet seats or do they sit on porcelain
In public places you see a lot of seats missing. In private homes it’s kinda rare but I do see some. 🤷🏼♂️
I hover if there is no seat if it isn’t standing only.
Yes, Italians have toilet seats, too. I never sat on straight porcelain there, except on the bidet.
Stairs need a railing.
Yeah probably... Easy add on if you wanted one! I would need one. I am so clutch.
It's nice, but for me, personally, too clean. And the most important thing: much too dark and no outside space at all. Yeah it's hot there in summer, but still I don't like living in a cave 😅
the kitchen needs better lighting, imo
Luckily, an easy fix!
Wondering if by chance you received an email from us inquiring?
I did man! Sorry we were so busy filming and trying to edit the videos. 5 in 48 hours.
@@BradsWorldI know you're tremendously busy but super appreciate the response!
You just look " lazy" brad? I want to be that lazy, and successful too ! 😂
We had friends in last night to Montepulciano and I feel like a truck hit me today. The wine here is sooooo good and we really tried a bunch last night.
Sorry….but the design is horrible.
It’s Ok. Don’t be sorry. Something for everyone!!
