I ordered my ZWO Seestar S50 as a Cancer Survivor post-op gift to myself. Hi Point tells me December delivery. I’m just too old to get into a dedicated Astro photography outfit, so the Seestar is a fun way to enhance 69 years of being a backyard cruiser. Clear Skies!🔭
Wow that's a great gift and for good reason! I have one as well and the seestar is great, you will really enjoy how easy it is to use and produces excellent results! I do have another video on my first night out with the seestar. Good luck with it! - Brian
PA 15” and 7”?! You must be genius. I don’t get below 50-60” with 10 microns mount after 12 star alignment. Or your ASAir reports BS numbers for PA and guiding.
Great video. I just picked up a second AM5. After having mine for a few months. Great guiding numbers too, there is a secret to obtaining them and I've finally figured it out, 3 nights in a row I've had a guiding of 0.35 and lower. Where did you get the right angle polar alignment scope attachment?
Thanks for watching! Here is a link for the scope that I used. I cut the bracket so the finder scope didn't stick out so far off the side of the mount. amzn.to/45HHXnS

@@TheSuper8mm sorry I gave you the wrong link for the scope rings. I believe this is the one that I use and I just unscrewed the middle piece and attach the rings to the dovetail base. Happy to hear you picked up the feet they work great 👍 thanks for watching amzn.to/3Zo3i3g
Congratulations! You win the AM5 lottery, twice! I have never been able to bring mine to those guiding numbers. Many other people using PhD2 have the same experience. I am starting to wonder if the Asiair reports false numbers.
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it! I don't believe that's the case as I've used the mount with APT and had similar guiding numbers. One thing I do have to do is recalibrate on each target before I shoot that helps significantly with 1 sec exposures
Run the ASI polar alighment a couple of time during the night. As thte night get cooler, your PA may change. Level the tripod, be very picky to be sure it is 100% level across all the legs. Then make 100% sure your scope is orthogonal to the mount, in both verical and horizontal axis. My guiding greatly improved after being obsessive with leveling and the scope being orthogonal. Also is your giude scope perfectly parallel to the you main scope? Purchase a very high quality guide scope, that really helps. Finally be sure all your 12V and imagaing cables are not catching or sliding against your rig during imaging.. Good luck.

Super info. Love the am5 and yes on seestar. Clear skies
Thank you! Appreciate it
Thanks for sharing!
If I may ask what portable power supply did you strap to the tripod leg please? I see two ports were used.
They are not portable but these are the ones I used. Thanks for watching 👍 amzn.to/3QXYyOh
Cool shirt, circa 1999. Nice rigs too
Thanks man! Old school is now 1999 ouch..
Good video, well done. Could I ask why you did not pick an am-3 as second mount instead?
Thank you so much! The AM3 wasn't available, preorder only and with my scopes another AM5 was what I needed for the payload
Love your content man!
I put some time into this one so I really appreciate it!

How far did you cut the bracket down and how did you do it? Great video! I also purchased the feet for my tc40. Thank you!

@@Astrolips2000 I encourage you to go and read on the ZWO forum issues other users are getting.

This is an awesome video I do t know much about it but it is really cool😮😊 FBGM💪
Thanks man!
Those feet seem to be no longer available. Any recommendations for other feet?
Probably just temporarily out of stock. These ones look similar but I didn't try them. Let me know if you do! amzn.to/3FhLVIx
