My past: verbally abused and constantly body shamed by my mom, suffered SA, my parents got divorced when I was 10, had zero self-esteem, and suffered constant lack and poverty in the family. I have always lived in shame and lack of self-esteem and have never dated or being a relationship out of fear. Now, at age 27, I recently got out of a religious cult that contributed to messing up my mind from age 20. I felt, its too late, and im too old to attract anyone, I've even resigned myself to forever singlehood but I think I need to shake off all the internalised shame
Shake it off I had a traumatic childhood through to my teen to my young adult years. I spent most of my 20s healing from it Am 32 now and I feel my best I attract the best men And I know my desire for marriage and family is just around the corner

I told him I wasn't ready because I am not where I want to be financially. I am currently on a journey to better my self because of the kind of men I have been attracting. I had a conversation with a male coworker the other day and I had said if I ever get involved with another man he will have to have something in life. Of course he went to the gold digger comment. Wanted to get me a T-shirt. 🤦♀️ No, I’m just tired of being financially drained taking care of these losers!
I don't disagree with 1. But I think with the current trend- ppl are getting married later in life - so it should be more pressure to get married by a particular age that's the issue.
My husband WORKS hard in the heat, humidity, and snow as a mobile mechanic. He’s Mexican and in their culture, they are taught that you are useless as a man if you don’t work. I know someone whose baby daddy is a lazy slob and just sits on the couch while she is out digging fences and doing farm work for others so they can afford to eat. I respect my husband for busting his bum for me and our 6 kids (and he does it with the pride of a man who can provide), and I look at the woman I know with the couch potato boyfriend with such pity. A man who has no drive and won’t provide is, in my opinion, useless indeed.
I also am told . You have it made.. what are you complaining about.. yadda yadda.. because at the moment I am a stay at home mom.. the opposition and judgment and disrespect or disregard is real. People have this idea that I am eating bonbons all day.. watching soap operas! Haha.. 😂 people have no idea how difficult managing a home is.
They truly do not! The weight of the responsibility of caring for another human being(s) not in a “meet this deadline” way but in a way you know will deeply affect their overall well-being is heavy. I salute you beautiful! 🤍

I have been following you. I must commend your good work. But then being in relationship doesn't imply the man is responsible for you financial obligation. Depending on a man in relationship to provide for me is no no for me. I am not saying he shouldn't care but my point is, it shouldn't be a responsibility like you make it sound. Let it be that he just wants to do what he want to do as long as he has not paid your bride price
