Your right I haven't seen no other video for 2010 Forester thank you, I was thinking it would be something horrendous to remove, but that's simple as knowledge is power thank you
I bobbled an airpod behind the trim of the steering wheel while I was taking it out of the case. I wish I could share an image... it was under the center console. Blew my mind, and this video was super easy to follow. You kick ass
very helpful video man thanks!.. just got the 2011 Forester and i may need to replace the front 12v cig lighter charging socket, can it be access after removing the center stack???
That front socked is a nightmare and they use a thermal fuse that often blows. You have to remove many many pieces of dash teim. It would cost half as much to have a good car stereo shop or mechanic install an alternate one in a similar position .
I don't see how to subscribe. Do you still comment on the 2010 Forester 'cause I've got one (5 speed) with ~70K I plan to keep forever. Would love to have more little gems like this one.
you don't without at least 4 hours of labor time. that lousy thermal fuse blows all the time and service is impractical. Just use the one in the rear of the console!
Thanks buddy! Very helpful, I couldn't figure out the front fasteners.

I broke my shift interlock overide lever (cheap blue lever under the shifter plate) and had to replace it. This was very helpful, thanks
The fancy mat is part # 92177 if anyone was curious.

Just what I needed, thanks man.
