Thank you SO much. This is probably the best, easiest to follow instructional video I’ve seen in years. There were absolutely no surprises for me when I did the job.

Very helpful. My wife's 2011 Forester interior driver's side door handle stopped opening the door. Used your video to remove the door panel, identify the culprit and replace the component. A piece of plastic on the mechanism that retains the cable in the handle lever had broken, rendering it useless. Subaru had the piece for $37.00. Their service department had wanted $140 just to look at it. Saved me an easy $150. Thank you very much!

I forgot about the two screws behind the control panel. I had two screws left over and couldn't remember where they went. Thank you!

I wish ours was that easy. When we pried the handle piece from the trim it snapped it half, and when we pull the send half out one of the clips snapped.

    Nice video. Thanks.
    Question.
It’s there a way to remove the handle cover/panel without removing the door panel? And how?
    I need to replace mine.

Weird question but there is a sizable dent in my foresters door. Would this give me access to pop it back out or if there too much stuff in the way?

Oh man. This will help me tons. I just replaced the driver side mirror and the panel won't pop back in at the top near the mirror. It's dark and late. Hopefully I can do it tomorrow now that I've seen this.

I think this is model year 2009 onwards, from redesign. 2003-2008 is different design
