Saw them at House of Blues Dallas 2 months ago. I'll see them again with Every Time I Die this June. Josh Scogin is my lyrical hero. Saw my first Norma Jean video in 2003. In 2006 I finally saw him live with The Chariot and Norma Jean and here he is still being a lyrical beast. He will forever put on the best show I have ever seen.
These guys getting on a tour BMTH was so good for them. Before that the only people who knew of them either caught them by chance at a show with other descent bands or they were a big fan of The Chariot. Now their fan base has probably tripled. I'm happy their getting the publicity they deserve.
I feel that! Saw them live before that album came out and would spend HOURS trying to find fucking anything by them until this video was released hahahahah
Ironically, the same thing just happened to me yesterday... 2 years after you. Lol. I just saw them at iMatter festival yesterday for the first time, and was amazed.
damn, I remember late 2015 seeing this in my recommended and being absolutely blown away, I was hooked on their stuff for the next year and after years of having forgotten about them, my love for them is even stronger. also this is probably one of my favorite live performances ever. they put on a killer show too, saw them at warped in 2015
Dude they were only a band for a few weeks when we booked the session so i didnt know what to expect other than Josh is a badass. After we were done filming it was like a fucking bomb went off in the studio. I drove him in silence just staring out the window. It was amazing and im stoked to be able to share it with people like you that appreciate it!
These guys have great energy, saw them open for ABR's messenger tour in Portland yesterday. They really do know how to rock a crowd. They honestly made a couple of the bands with more members that played look shitty haha
This comment was a long time ago but I saw them with I believe it was with Avatar , the Swedish metal band . These guys were 1st openers I think . Fucking killed it . Some dance / metal / edm came after them and poor guys .. didn't even come close to 68's performance
ive seen them twice already and despite the fact that no one in the room knew their songs both times, the whole room turned into a giant mosh pit and the energy was electric
Just saw these guys a few hours ago at the worcester palladium disobedient tour...neve heard of them before, would love to see them again...loved their energy, awesome drummer! Fuck all the haters!! Did I see someone comment that they're gonna be at warped?
WOW! first time listening. this is my new shit. wow. wow. PLEASE DONT LET THE DRUMMER BE UN NOTICED BY HIS PERFECT VOICE AND GUITAR PLAYIN. THIS IS NYZE.
I wish Warped Manure didn't suck so gawddamn bad, I'd like to see them again. Long Live Listener! Now that's a fucking tour that needs to happen again.
pretty badass tbh, saw them last night in san diego, don't know if he was drunk, but he looked wasted... no one really liked them but i got down to them, you've got a +1 fan
It sounds like at some point between norma jean and wars josh developed a node. Most singers would hate that, but it gives his screams that extra nasty. Or maybe he just knows some secret.
Yes Sodian94 this is the WORD video. Josh has some of the coolest vocals and lyrics I've ever heard. Clean and pretty vocals just isn't his style (for the most part...though his project "A Rose By Any Other Name" shows a softer side. This is hardcore raw rock...not suppose to be pretty.
people shouting warp tour... fair enough but you gotta catch them in a sweaty little venue. This band rules.
billy suter saw them open for Fall Of Troy at Chop Suey in Seattle. What a fucking show

billy suter i did and it was awesome
Seen them at a small venue in Chicago!... One of the best shows I have seen...
3:04 is one of the most raw, brutal screams I've ever heard in my life. Hype to see them later this month, finally!
Ive had the Janis Joplin Mercedes Benz part stuck in my head since I seen them live 2 weeks ago....goooood shit
Got to open for em a few years back. It was honestly my favorite show of my musical career
These guys getting on a tour BMTH was so good for them. Before that the only people who knew of them either caught them by chance at a show with other descent bands or they were a big fan of The Chariot. Now their fan base has probably tripled. I'm happy their getting the publicity they deserve.
So this song went on to become "Track 8 o" on In Humor and Sadness. I had a hard time finding it
I feel that! Saw them live before that album came out and would spend HOURS trying to find fucking anything by them until this video was released hahahahah
Thank you my lord.
3:55 "That's a record". Haha. I love the "We sorted this out in half an hour" attitude.
just saw them live yesterday and i absolutely fell in love
me too!:)
Ironically, the same thing just happened to me yesterday... 2 years after you. Lol. I just saw them at iMatter festival yesterday for the first time, and was amazed.

i mean ofc these guys are some of the most seasoned musicians in the world in this scene
I love the stage performance these guys put on. It’s great. I’ve seen them twice in Chicago. The second time was crazier than the first.
I was there! They blew it up!
This comment was a long time ago but I saw them with I believe it was with Avatar , the Swedish metal band . These guys were 1st openers I think . Fucking killed it . Some dance / metal / edm came after them and poor guys .. didn't even come close to 68's performance
The Chariot (kinda) lives on!
Chariots red headed step child
The best part about this video, aside from the band, is that every time I watch it I see zero ads.
ive seen them twice already and despite the fact that no one in the room knew their songs both times, the whole room turned into a giant mosh pit and the energy was electric
great band. nice axe to fall shirt. very niiiccee
Amazing. Like how its a mix between singing and screaming.
Seen these guys live in Sydney, bloody great!
best 68 song ever
So much awesome sound from only two members... blows me away!!
These guys were so good at warped, interacted with the crowd and have a really good chemistry on stage. Music is fantastic 10/10 job
Saw them in Atlanta 2 days ago. These guys kick ass.

I like the Janis Joplin bit at the beginning.
Just saw these guys a few hours ago at the worcester palladium disobedient tour...neve heard of them before, would love to see them again...loved their energy, awesome drummer! Fuck all the haters!! Did I see someone comment that they're gonna be at warped?
Yes, announced officially for Vans Warped Tour 2015 line-up!

WOW! first time listening. this is my new shit. wow. wow. PLEASE DONT LET THE DRUMMER BE UN NOTICED BY HIS PERFECT VOICE AND GUITAR PLAYIN. THIS IS NYZE.

Transcending punk rock and makes it look easy. Killer!

Been listening to '68 here and there on pandora.....had no idea it was josh scogins.
pretty badass tbh, saw them last night in san diego, don't know if he was drunk, but he looked wasted... no one really liked them but i got down to them, you've got a +1 fan

@3:05 is the best
This. Band. Are. So. Damn. Good
Seen the chariot many times but haven’t caught ‘68 yet unfortunately
This is too much for that small room to handle. It will explode.
So fucking deadly and awesome. Rock the fuck on! \m/
Still here, 2021
How do I get these tracks?
just saw them with august burns red and they were fucking awesome
can i have the lyrics to this master piece!? please?
No matter how many times I watch it I can't figure out what that head with the blue knobs is or the kind of can being used. Anyone know?
The rock n roll Daniel Johnston. long live Josh Scrogin
The power of Cobain channels through that flannel.
It sounds like at some point between norma jean and wars josh developed a node. Most singers would hate that, but it gives his screams that extra nasty. Or maybe he just knows some secret.
this is so stupid i love it so much holy shit
This is sick! 100% Cobain influenced
I'm getting more of a jack white vibe than cobain
I'm getting more of a jack white vibe than cobain
What heads cabs is he using? I know he has an Orange but i can't see the other two. Thanks!
the chariot/scogin continues to make me want to get better at electric guitar...
they make me want to be a better human.
They were nuts in Rochester with Norma Jean!
+xEvan777x :'( I didn't get to go to that, I wanted to so bad.
Reminds me of a doom/sludge-e dillinger escape plan for some reason.
The chariot lives on on a different name for me ^^
the best attempt at Nirvana to date. 👏
What you guys know about Luti-Kriss
Sounds a lot like the chariot... Like a lot a lot. Did they breakup?
yes and im pretty sure you know this is the vocalists new band haha
From which album is this? It's really good!
In Humor And Sadness, Track 8 "o".
thanks!!
punk rock!!
This is the true '68
real question. where do i buy this song? i saw it live too, but its not on iTunes
If no one has answered your question or you still haven't found it they have it bandcamp.
On their album In Humor and Sadness it is called "Track 8 o"
saw them with Bring me the Horizon and honestly 68' was better. I bought theyre drum!
Only two guys playing instruments and they sound pretty decent. His vocals remind me of Tim from rise against.
Josh Escobar This is Josh Scogin from Norma Jean and The Chariot.
When did Lightning Bolt go punk??? Sick.
Warped Tour 2015!!!!
Reminds me of Every Time I Die
Wow this has unreal parts. Its like white stripes meets norma jean meets melvins feedback. i hurt in all the right ways
Still the best vocalist!
i feel like nirvana is seeping through them and I dig it so fucking much
hte spageti how so
never forget The Chariot.
Josh Scogin, you punk son of a bitch, I love you soo much. I can't wait to soon see you again brother.
terrifying!!!!
they opened for bring me the horizon and i fell in love.
Same here! Amazing live, just amazing!!!
+Vidja Gamer makes 3 just saw them last night!!
0:30
Hey! I still got a lot to say! 👌
If every time i die and nirvana fucked this would be their kid
Seen these guys supporting Everytime I Die before I even knew who they were.... Safe to say the stole the show.
ZAJEBISTE W CHUJ!
