Because a certain amount of land is required for the gate, what you can do with cetaceans is to make a slide out area (every good marine park should have at least one with a scale, if they can't weigh their whales they can't keep tabs on their health and adjust diet), and hide a short gate in the wall/railing at the slideout. There's a metallic sign that makes for a good scale building piece, just have to remember to turn the light setting to "off" so there's no glow under it. Makes for a really clean build.
I still think, if the game really is winding down on the amount of DLC it's getting, we should get two major "expansions" that cover avian and marine life. Have like, one example of each major rigging type. Like one ray, one shark, one whale, one small fish, one turtle, one dolphin, etc. That would bring actual aquatic mechanisms into the game and also help modders a ton. As for avian species, I'm frankly surprised we don't have them already. They could even have marine and avian DLCs be the last two to go out with a bang. It would give them a lot to go off of for the inevitable Planet Zoo 2 or Planet Aquarium that we'll likely get. Though I still maintain my belief that marine and land-based life should not be quarantined to separate games.
I'm personally waiting for support for the game to end before I start modding my game, (due to the risk of mods becoming outdated and the disappointment that I can't use them, also save file corruption)but I was looking on nexus mods and I'm excited to download a lot of your mods and I can't wait to build actual aquariums (or the closest thing) in my zoos.
I dont know why, but mine wont stay underwater. The fish will just float on the surface of the water, and the ones using crocodile rigs go to their spot, dive, swim around but after some time will reasurface and act like a croc at the surface and then after some time dive again. Do you have any idea why that is? Ty for the video!

The mods are great! I still hope that they give us some real fish rigs so we dont need to see them on land.
