Well, I just decided, the Luxon from the Wildmount setting is the previous Macado's shattered heart. It fits well with the Luxon's theme of searching for it's own truth, as well as being the source of dumanis, which is just manipulation of space and time. If Stellar dragons can make spheres, it makes sense that their hearts can function as a source and inspiration for the power to bend space and time. These dragons being more powerful than some gods also explain how tethering a soul to it could have the power to bypass the usual journey of going to the outer planes. Lastly, it would explain why there's only 1 known sphere with a Luxon, those Macados will not die often.
Wow, two Spelljammer vids released at once today! I only knew a little about them, so this was mind-blowing. And Spelljammer/Transformers crossover? F*** yeah! Seems like with Eberron these dragons could mutually manifest an entire semi-sentient planetoid or demiplane with warforged who can wildshape into elven skiffs or flitters. I may have to start DM'ing to homebrew this into a campaign. Thanks for illuminating the lore and for inspiration guys.
In all likelihood the progenitor dragons of Eberron were stellar dragons. The largest among them are certainly big enough to become a planet, especially two of them combined. And their bodies are covered in gems (dragon shards) as well as possess the necessary magics to create entire worlds. But why make a world? Knowledge of course. Why gleam the knowledge of worlds already made when you can engineer your own growing library. Perhaps they even wanted to see who would truly "win" between good versus evil, by creating a vacuum where creatures could decide for themselves rather than have meddling cosmic entities pulling at their strings. Hence why Eberron is cut off from everywhere else and why alignment is much more fluid. As for Transformers, in D&D the spawning stone (basically the allspark/cube) was created by Primus to bring order to Limbo. Hell, Mechanus and the modrons can already be considered proxies for Cybertron and the transformers. So a crossover is already baked into D&D, just waiting to be used. 🤓
Since I've been using Sun and Moon dragons as Warlock patrons, I'm going to use this as another patron seeking knowledge and information. I imagine having it as a patron would be similar to having an immortal wizard/sorcerer as a patron.

Probably the only ways are to convince these dragons to give up the horn and gems voluntarily or enlist the help of as many liars as possible to cripple the dragon with digestive pains.
I was all ready to point out that stellar dragons would not be summoning creatures from other planes into the phlogiston then AJ confirmed they can do this despite the normal restrictions. I think in my game I would speculate they actually create their own copy of the entities they 'summon' rather than actually breaking the laws of the phlogiston. They would have a vast repertoire of monsters that they would have learnt of over their long age and would know exactly what creatures fear what to be able to tailor the 'summon' to what creature is annoying them currently. Because they are actually creating the creature they could also 'summon' creatures with unique traits uncommon to the species to trick and fool their opponent.

A wounded Stellar Dragon Wrymling? Imagine if a Deep Spawn found out about THAT and carried out it's dinner plans... Talk about bad news on an unfathomable scale.
imagine a story where the party tries to kill a stellar dragon or searches for the corpse of an already dead one to close the abyss and the nine hells forever?
I've been having trouble finding information about this dragon. Other than the AD&D Spelljammer Monster Manual, has anything else been written about the Stellar Dragons?
I was thinking a cool plot point could be an opposing party somehow chained or blinded a great wyrm level stellar dragon to do its will, however it doesn’t have complete control over it so the view times the party would come in contact with it it would actually help them and the like, hoping that they’d free it from its bindings
One could create a D&D version of the MCU. The corpse of one of these dragons sounds a lot like Knowhere, with an Arcane playing the part of The Collector. The gems are obviously Infinity Stones and there's no shortage of Mad Gods in D&D. Maybe those Gauntlets of Ogre Power the party found when they were just starting out are a teensy bit more special than they thought.
The party spends weeks irl looking for the scrolls that all magic knowledge is built on then heads to the stellar dragon meeting place to try to use the scrolls to bye the heart diamonds needed to seal the demons forever cool plot

I’m listening to these while I work, and I swear, it sounds like he’s saying SALAD dragon. And now I want a DND monster salad 🥗 🐉 dragon. 😊
Send me against the big daddy… me and my army of clones will finally have a fair fight
*casts banishment on AJ*
DAS if only he didn’t have legendary resistance!
*casts dispel magic on the banishment*
I've been having trouble finding information about this dragon. Other than the AD&D Spelljammer Monster Manual, has anything else been written about the Stellar Dragons?
Unfortunately not. The Spelljammer Appendix is the only book that mentions them.
The primordial star and the witch of falsehood
They talk about the creatures that can be found inside it. How do they get there through the black hole?
The party spends weeks irl looking for the scrolls that all magic knowledge is built on then heads to the stellar dragon meeting place to try to use the scrolls to bye the heart diamonds needed to seal the demons forever cool plot
You should do a brown bear from 3.5
