People hate on Travis because of fans saying he is the best drummer ever. Travis on the other hand is a very humble person who never claims to be the best. He is just doing what he loves and has made a fortune doing so. People who says he is bad is either very jelly or has absolutly no clue what they are talking about..
The thing that makes him a great drummer is fact that he has incredibly accurate timing, no matter what he's playing. Steady tempo, accurately timed fast hits, and plays to the song rather than just trying to play impressive things. It's not terribly flashy, but it's the mark of a great drummer.
His style can't be beat. The interest level rises immediately when he starts playing. Energy, good kicks and changes - Travis adds a lot to music... authentic "musicianship" in a techno world. That's amazing. He should be highly respected.
whats really special about Travis is because he plays so visually, he inspires people drummers and none drummers more and quicker than a 'better' drummer could
Mad ppl hating on Travis. He might not b the best but he is nice and everyone knows him and wants to collab' with him. IMO he is winning regardless of all the hate. His nice with the drums and he is a good person.
He may play fast and people may say that's not a big deal, but for how fast he plays, he's damn accurate and can keep his rhythm the whole time. He's also makes drumming look fun too. He's definitely got his own unique way and even though a lot of the stuff he did for Blink was simple, it was what worked best for that style of music.
I’m old school rocker. But this dude is bad ass. Original style. Quickest hands I’ve seen. And hard hitting. Not one rim hit. Very simple kit, he makes it sound big. Outstanding drummer
tristan brogdon Even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes. He is THE MOST OVERRATED DRUMMER IN THE WORLD. There are videoes of 10 year olds on You Tube that put Travis Barker to shame. People that think he is the best have no idea about the ppl out there that are truly drum icons. Mike Portnoy has more talent in his left hand than Travis Barker has in his hands and feet. Steve Smith, Gavin Harrison, Billy Cobham, Dave Weckyl etc. Those mentioned are true legends. Barker just hits hard. His technique is pure garbage. He lucked out that Blink made it big.
Good hell! I cannot believe the hate comments on here! People just can't look at talent anymore (yes he is talented) without dick measuring about who's better! Who the fuck cares! Every drummer has a different backround and unique style. What should show skill is dedication. And you cannot deny the fact that Travis is a dedicated drummer.
+Ryan DeShazo Dedication and hard work is something that doesn't really happen much anymore. Anyone that puts time and effort into something long enough will always be praised in my book. Also, who the fuck cares about whether 'other 'more talented' drummers out there are less famous. Fame is not something to be praised either.
Barker is an extremely dedicated, serious musician. Why would anyone hate on this? You see a guy with tats and think he is some idiot banging away mindlessly? He studied, took lessons as a youth. He knows of all and studied all the jazz greats. There is a lot more to Barker than meets the eye. He is extremely talented.
Just remember that Travis can buy and sell all of us for Christmas! He is a very good drummer and he is/was part of the best punk/rock group of my generation!! Lot of love for Blink 182
I wish I had half of the stamina he has! Not my style of drumming, but he is one hell of an entertainer, and has made something unique and interesting out of HIS OWN style. And to everyone hating on him, he can certainly play....he CHOOSES to play like this!....respect.
Came here to see what all the fuss was about. Slick editing and camera angles. Very nice. With the right production, a grandma knitting a sweater on her porch can look like a rock star.
there are a lot of criticisms here on Travis' playing. But all I see is incredible time keeping and good technique. is he Neil Peart? No....he's a punk and hip hop type drummer. He obviously knows some rudiments too.
+Michael P I don't hate Travis at all, but good technique? His technique will destroy the ligaments in his wrists and shoulders, if if hasn't already. Otherwise, always good to see a drummer do rudimental stuff, so props to him as always for that
aurora44 "seems to be doing alright at 40" yeah? You talk to him often? He's mentioned in interviews that he's in constant pain while playing. Other drummers at 40 and beyond are free of that, even drummers that play faster and harder than him.
+IonicMAP he had 3rd degree burns to his body, ligament damage from the plane crash and nerve damage. Find me an interview before the plane crash where he mentions he's in in pain
+Michael P watch every single travis barker video and youll see hate and "this drummer is better this drummer is better" its youtube and there always be jelly
mad talent. several different styles of drumming in this video. this guy may not be the best in the world, but he's one HELL of a performer and certainly has his shit down tight.
He plays the drums like how I listen to and make music. Not about reaching the mystical level of skill you see the rare, few, and small group of ppl reach. It’s all about every. Single. Little different sound, echo, sound resonance and break, the speed changes and timing intricacy and maintaining high or low speed plateaus. Fcking amazing. Also he’s one fcking AMAZING person if you ever listen to him converse or listen to him speak on his ethic or ideology of life. Love the man like a role model!
why do people have to be disrespectful all the time. If you are going to watch him videos or watch him drum, why cant you appreciate that he has talent. Its a personal opinion if "he is the best" or if he isnt. We all have our own favorites and if he happens to be a lot of peoples favorites then so be it. I personally like his remixes and drum solos. I may not know a lot about drumming, but I appreciate the musical talent and creativity. That's what people are overlooking.
To this day, I still believe one of his all around GREATEST solo performances was the 2011 "Can a drummer get some" solo!! That was almost a 5 minute solo performance that he absolutely tore up!!!!!
Here is the thing about Travis. He is extremely overrated because he is popular. That does not mean he is a bad drummer. He has incredible speed and he can control it. He isn't the greatest but you have to give him credit for his stiff with blink. Before him, pop punk drummers did not play stuff as complicated or as cool as Travis did and still does. So quit hating, you probably aren't as successful as he is so you have no place to be hating when you are just taking out the fact that you are a shitty drummer on youtube.
just stumbled over it!!!! HOLY CRAP, that's a goddess-performance!! Crazy player, wow, I wish I could beat that fast, stunning!!!! YOU ROCK!!! Thnx for sharing such stuff!!!!!
I give travis a lot of respect since I've been listening to him for 8 years now. He's the drummer that made me the drummer today but I have my own style and personality behind my kit.
I love when people pick a part his technique. Sorry folks, no such thing as good or bad technique. We are drummers, we hit drums. thats basically it. If his technique was so "awful" then how as he been able to play so fast and with precision for almost 30 years? He is really and creative as well. I think drummers just want to sound like they know what they are talking about, so they purposely try to pick a part a great player. until you are on his level, what you have to say doesn't matter. The only person you are impressing is yourself. lol
Absolutely there is such a thing as bad technique. I'd hardly say Barker is the worst popular culprit of this, but his grip and rigidity leave much to be desired.
He is a sound engineer's worst nightmare. He has no medium/low volume. He is wailing away at all times. It is incredibly difficult to mix when the sound of his cymbals is washing through all of the other mics. That's why that track at the end sounded very "dirty" most of the song, and you could barely hear the toms. With that being said; I don't see how anyone could hate on his skill. His blast beats are sick, his hand speed is very respectable, his beat displacement skills are very good, and he seems pretty precise on his timing in everything I've ever heard of him. I would put him in the top 15-20 drummers all-time. Not the best, but definitely very highly ranked due to his exposure.
I had a guy like this in the studio the other week. Heavy hitter with lots of cymbals but its all about mic choice and placement. I used C414s on the toms and there were no problems as far as excessive bleed.(surprisingly clear) Using the cardioid to its advantage. The guy also played at a constant loud level with very consistent hits, which for the style of music really did work. I found it amazingly easy to get a level, compress and mix it. as not much needed to be done in automation in the mix. I guess its whatever the music calls for at the end of the day. That drumming would be terrible for a lot of other styles of music but sounded great for this band.
A good engineer can work with a wide range of musicians and create a great product... If he is an engineers worst nightmare and I can make someone like that sound pleasing in a mix how does that not make me a good engineer? I have also recently recorded a live big band and again got an amazing sound... lots of dynamics there!! It's whatever the music calls for mate. I hope you're not an engineer because if you are, good luck... you will need it!!
Ok, we all know that Travis is not the best drummer in the world, but to me is one of those drummer with a unique style, you can hear different songs and hear Travis Barker on the drums, and that's why i really admire him.
He is pretty precise in what he is playing, not everybody can play like that especially in the studio where every thing should sound good! He has groove and feeling! What else do you want from a drummer? I'm not a big fan of Travis, but he is a pro!
I think I'd have to say that travis by far one of the most creative drummers that I've heard but the only thing I don't really look up to is his rap covers. I have nothing against hip hop or rap but I obviously don't consider myself a heavy hitter. With his piece kits, he still comes up with new material that doesn't ever bore me.
none of the guys here talking shit about Travis can play rudiments like him..yeah this drumming was basic but what Travis can do... none of you will be able to do in the next ten lives! just make peace with it.
Well said... I am not especially a fan. I am a 43 year old who messes with guitar and wanting to try drumming for the 1st time ever... All this Elitist crap in the comments... The technology is there... Show the world your superior skills or STFU!!!
He certainly has no idea of facilitation or economy of motion, but if you want attitude and a big horrible noise then Travis is your man. Let's face it most pop chart music today is a big horrible noise so don't hate Travis he's just giving you what you want. If you really want to listen to musicality and technique on a drum kit then listen to the Gary Moore track 'What Would You Rather Be or a Wasp', the intro to that track alone by Brian Downey I think will leave most of today's drummers scratching their heads, lol.
yeah. a lot of that "technical" drumming you talk about is fucking terrible to listen to. which is about 99% of all jazz music. they are amazing musicians, but that is about it. take Rush for instances. terrible.
Some drummers impress with technical chops and incredible technique. Others create sound that's appealing and that you can groove to. Travis' sound is appealing to my ears. I like his style and I can usually groove to it much more than a lot of the others.
It really assists his powerful technique. I myself am the same I play with my hi-hat at a high height because if you move your left arm a lot more than other drummers to add more power it just gives you more space really and helps with similar powerful styles. I move my hi-hat forward from where it normally would be-my arms rarely are crossed but it gives me the space i need to suit my style. That is all it is, an assist to a powerful and big sort of style
So many dudes/amateur drummers on here feeling really small and insecure about their drum playing because of Travis. Haha get a grip, you won't ever be as successful as him with that negative attitude
who's feeling small? so success means you're amazing at your instrument? The fact that someone is an "amateur" means that you are just a hater? Talk to a handful of drummers who actually know their craft and understand it... they'll tell you the same thing abour Barker. He's not worth half the hype he has. He's a better business man than a drummer. He plays the same fills over and over.. and has no dynamics. Your "success" argument is lame at best
He conveys dynamics with what drums or cymbals he's sitting. Like a side snare, a splash, or a ride bell. But you're right he doesn't really have what people typically define as "dynamics". But he's a punk rock drummer, are you expecting him to play with jazz like dynamics? Really? lol
I got to see Travis live with Blink and he pulled a Tommy Lee and played drums upside down in the air. Travis is one of the best drummers of my generation (can't tell me nothing).
+Benjamin Jones Let's see YOU put up a video of YOU doing ANYTHING, anywhere near this man's level. In fact, let's extend this challenge to ANYONE on here being critical of him. You're ALL just JEALOUS!
Here's what I say about Travis and it's not me bashing him. I don't personally enjoy his drumming. BUT...he has clearly worked his way through the business doing what he loves and gets to make a great living at it. That's respectable. He's clearly better with music to play to than soloing. I'll also that say playing with DJ AM and these hip hop vids he does has allowed him to expand his ability. Take it or leave it, but that's my opinion. He still gets to drum for a living, that's a bonus.
Dam dude… I stopped playing drums a long time ago and i wish i never stopped.. Drugs took me off that path.. here i am still alive and piecing my drum set back together little by little and this will be the first song i try to play.. 😂 It looks like fun to practice to this song.. i have no idea how travis crosses his arms to hit the cymbals he even hits them on the up stroke i never seen that before.. usually when you hit a cymbal its down but he hits them going up too cool trick ill have to practice that more..
nothing special zero dynamic only loud noise. I can play better even if I can play for 2hours a week but I am not famous. he was lucky to being in good time and good place.
he was recording idiot.. and no, he wasnt just lucky! if u judge his skills and overall hability with just this video, I can see why u are never gonna be famous or reach the same level travis is in right now
He IS a great drummer .. But popularity is not just a measure of technical ability, people also need to factor in that he's a great showman. He's mesmerizing to watch ..
he is a great drummer because he is versatile he plays alot of different music and some how can make it work. i bet if you took another great drummer and had them play outside of their comfort zone they wouldnt do as well. so what makes travis a beast on the drums is that he doesnt have that one single comfort zone he had several
***** the beatles had some of the most revolutionary technical guitarists of their time later in their career. I dont even like the beatles too much, but you have to respect how good they *were at their instruments
yawn. another elitist who probably listens to jazz while his boyfriend jerks him off. he may not be the best drummer ever, but the man is doing something right if he is getting the attention he is.
I think at some point, I heard him play, a ratamataclipaclopdiddlefizzle then later an inverted flarmatacukrapoc tripletyclappdiddlebubble. I might be wrong though.
@speedoboy535 alot of people claim that he is a bad drummer. but Trav is has a really unique sound when he plays, his fills can go from slow to fast-pace within a blink of an eye, you're probably not the first one to say it, so don't worry if people have a crack at you.
I mean the guy is laying down this track at Avatar Studios known for its room sound and they throw a flanger / chorus all over it. No wonder artists have no money, they spend it on totally useless crap like this. This could have been recorded in a warehouse with some cheap Audix mics. Good vid though.
Okay so this is my opinion: Travis is a great drummer right? Not too bad and not THAT great. But he is NOWHERE near as even close to the best. Honestly I can almost do pretty much everything he can do. There are so many other drummers either noticed or unnoticed who are much better than he is. So if I'm not to be mistaken I think he is the most overrated drummer of pretty much all time.
You're just a hater brah. Just cause your package is small, doesn't mean you need to hate brah. K brah! You can't do what he does brah, k brah! You ain't even talented brah, k brah! You're just mad, because your package is like brah, why am I so small brah? K brah! Don't hate brah, in fact... Take off your bra, brah. K brah!
blackpowerfreak So let me get this straight. You are all butt hurt because I said he wasn't the best drummer and I said that there were better drummers so you say that I have a small package because of how butt hurt you are? Grow up little 10 year old and quit denying the obvious like a little bitch.
Drummer here. I love Travis and his playing, and I respect it. HOWEVER, there are plenty of other drummers that blow him away. Say what you will, I think a good solo needs a variety of time signatures and genres. -Just Sayin' Blake
roguebladerunner i love that logic. you cant have an opinion on someone if you arent better than a person or more successful. smart af. and i wasnt even speaking about his ability. he plays the same things over and over. he was a marching band drummer and anyone whos had band experience is on another level compared to people who havent. that doesnt stop him from being boring as fuck to actual drummers. the only people impressed by travis are drummer that like pop punk or people who dont have drumming experience and dont realize that everything he does is simple and repetitive. but hes very solid, probably keeps time better than anyone. im willing to bet hes never dragged or rushed a beat in his entire career.
I love Travis he inspires encourage s me I like his rhythm time keeping the feel of his grooves first caught my attention he makes a living also playing drums Hats of a lot of good things to pick up from him
green symphonytech It's an opinion. Travis is good, but I don't find his solos particularly that interesting or colorful(at least in this video). Just my opinion, I don't need to be a drummer to have one.
I agree. There was nothing creative about it. Anyone who's been playing drums for as long as he has can hit drums fast too. That's all he did, just hit them fast. The reason anyone ever says he's good is because they suck too, or have no taste. Dude probably spends more time trying to look cool than playing drums. Coady Willis, from Big Business (Murder City Devils too), now that's a great drummer. Also that guy that played with Mars Volta, Dave Elitch. He's a monster!!! And yeah, I came on here to talk shit. Fuck you!!
@rokranmol dude, He's endorsed by DW aswell. he uses DW hardware and DW pedals on all his OCDP kits. he probably just decided to use a DW kit that studio session.
Exactly. It's about how everything sounds together, and even very technical drummers such as Thomas Lang or Dave Weckl play very simple grooves when they track drums for other artists.
People hate on Travis because of fans saying he is the best drummer ever.
Travis on the other hand is a very humble person who never claims to be the best. He is just doing what he loves and has made a fortune doing so. People who says he is bad is either very jelly or has absolutly no clue what they are talking about..
He is one tough dude... surviving the disaster and still playing like it didn't phase him. Major Respect
The thing that makes him a great drummer is fact that he has incredibly accurate timing, no matter what he's playing. Steady tempo, accurately timed fast hits, and plays to the song rather than just trying to play impressive things. It's not terribly flashy, but it's the mark of a great drummer.
This video has given me chills every time I watch it for the past 7 years or so. Travis is so fucking DOPE
This isn't dope. I'm calling into account your perception of what dope is. I don't think you know what dope is.
His style can't be beat. The interest level rises immediately when he starts playing. Energy, good kicks and changes - Travis adds a lot to music... authentic "musicianship" in a techno world. That's amazing. He should be highly respected.

I’ve seen local drummers at my college that could eat this dude for breakfast.
Eric Bee you crazy dog lol
Eric Bee They might be able to do that, but he is still a better drummer
hahahah soo true

Great video. Good drummer.
When I go through all the comments below I think.... since when is music about competition?
Came here to see what all the fuss was about. Slick editing and camera angles. Very nice. With the right production, a grandma knitting a sweater on her porch can look like a rock star.

I had no idea who this man was until now, and I’m not disappointed. So talented!
He has his own unique style. Atleast he isn't one of those trigger happy drummers that just go crazy on the double bass pedal.
That's what I appreciate about Travis the most. He's talented beyond belief, with as little to work with as possible.
V

So so much respect for Travis !
STILL one of my favorite videos on RUclips. I don't care for this track but Travis's version KILLS IT!!!! 2020 heyyOOOOO
All these below average drummers critiquing his skills is hilarious.
I remember watching this in my drum class in school in 7th grade and it makes wanna start taking up drums again i think I'm going to do it for sure

Guitarists love Travis barker. Drummers know the truth
SLAMMING ON THAT BEAT, NOT ONLY IS HE KEEPING TIME, HE'S DOING INSTRUMENTATION TO, SO HE'S BEING MUSICAL AS WELL AS KEEPING TIME, AWESOME! !!!!

finally a well educated person in RUclips :D
Exactly. The people condemning are the ones feeling inadequate with aspects of their own drumming and hating due to envy.

He is the most marketable drummer
Not overrated. Not when his talent lives to his hype

He has bad technique. Its science.
T- Hawk nope
he plays with his arms instead of his wrists and has said in interviews that after tours he is great pain, so i would say that is bad technique
please people, don't be jealous and just listen to one of the best drummers you've ever seen.

Haha, true. True.

I have also recently recorded a live big band and again got an amazing sound... lots of dynamics there!! It's whatever the music calls for mate. I hope you're not an engineer because if you are, good luck... you will need it!!
Travis Barker has such an awesome style! love listening to his stuff!
Recording in a recording studio with drums mic'd up. Audio is from camera... smh.
Ok, we all know that Travis is not the best drummer in the world, but to me is one of those drummer with a unique style, you can hear different songs and hear Travis Barker on the drums, and that's why i really admire him.
Hey Travis ever heard of somthing called NOT playing in 4/4
Most rock drummers play primarily 4/4. Whats your point?
***** first off that's one hundred percent bullshit and second he never plays in anything but the most simple time signature there is
Take a chill pill little man
***** who the fuck r u calling little man
You
he is doing this by his way, and he was doing this from the beginning, and he is good at it.
my hero!!
Travis is so good at drums!!
Kalee Melquist What is exactly your definition of good? Cause we might have two different definitions.
sounds good
Damm one of the legendary drummers out there ! #Respect
Travis Barker is a legend
He is pretty precise in what he is playing, not everybody can play like that especially in the studio where every thing should sound good! He has groove and feeling! What else do you want from a drummer?
I'm not a big fan of Travis, but he is a pro!
Goddamn he's good.
Idc about all the hate comments here. He plays with soul and passion. That’s what music is all about
All the metal drummers and rush cover players here mad lol sucks when a pop punk drummer sounds better than you huh? Lmao punk for life \\m//
MONSTER!!!! SOOOO underrated!
+Kasper Rotbøll You're not a drummer. Aren't you ?
I don't understand the question.. I play drums yes (if that's what you mean?)
ABSOLUTELY BADASS!! 😎👍I HAVE SEEN IT SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE!! THAT GUY IS A KILLER PERCUSSIONIST!
none of the guys here talking shit about Travis can play rudiments like him..yeah this drumming was basic but what Travis can do... none of you will be able to do in the next ten lives! just make peace with it.
Yeah thats true!
Well said... I am not especially a fan. I am a 43 year old who messes with guitar and wanting to try drumming for the 1st time ever...
All this Elitist crap in the comments...
The technology is there... Show the world your superior skills or STFU!!!
whatever this guy does is just Awesome! great playing
He certainly has no idea of facilitation or economy of motion, but if you want attitude and a big horrible noise then Travis is your man. Let's face it most pop chart music today is a big horrible noise so don't hate Travis he's just giving you what you want.
If you really want to listen to musicality and technique on a drum kit then listen to the Gary Moore track 'What Would You Rather Be or a Wasp', the intro to that track alone by Brian Downey I think will leave most of today's drummers scratching their heads, lol.
yeah. a lot of that "technical" drumming you talk about is fucking terrible to listen to. which is about 99% of all jazz music. they are amazing musicians, but that is about it. take Rush for instances. terrible.
sdfsf lol. It's all a matter of taste bro, I will stick with Neil Pert over Travis Barker anyday though.
Be good, and keep rockin':-).
***** I'll take it that you flunked English grammar class at school.
***** you dont seem to understand LMA's point.
id give it another read.
sdfsf lol are you calling neil peart terrible? wake up sonny
Some drummers impress with technical chops and incredible technique. Others create sound that's appealing and that you can groove to. Travis' sound is appealing to my ears. I like his style and I can usually groove to it much more than a lot of the others.
Come on man I've been playing drums for a year and I can do that without trying dam :(
Post a video of it?
I wouldn't say it if I couldn't
Well good for u it's not hard to play drums and what he did is just a little harder than beginner
Jon Wakeling I'll believe you when I see the video :)
Jon Wakeling Nice joke
Travis barker is a fucking legend
how everyone are jealous of Travis
I agree
John Bourgeois "He's a better business man than a drummer." sounds a lot like Lars Ulrich.
He conveys dynamics with what drums or cymbals he's sitting. Like a side snare, a splash, or a ride bell. But you're right he doesn't really have what people typically define as "dynamics". But he's a punk rock drummer, are you expecting him to play with jazz like dynamics? Really? lol
Check out the Vanians.. Thats me on drums
I got to see Travis live with Blink and he pulled a Tommy Lee and played drums upside down in the air. Travis is one of the best drummers of my generation (can't tell me nothing).
high school band style
hahahaha
+Benjamin Jones Let's see YOU put up a video of YOU doing ANYTHING, anywhere near this man's level. In fact, let's extend this challenge to ANYONE on here being critical of him. You're ALL just JEALOUS!
Would you really like to be a dumbass guy like Barfer? Even with the fame? The guy's talentless.
talentless , good description, same beat every song, banger not drummer
Maybe you could do better than the millionaire drummer then perhaps?
This is just beautiful.
his knee cap look like one of his sticks
Ha-ha ikr
It's called "meth leg," attached to his meth body. He's not that impressive.....
@@TriptoCo says a pos thats not good at anything in life
Here's what I say about Travis and it's not me bashing him.
I got 2 words for yous lads!
Benny Greb.
what about him ?
Greb plays a somewhat similar, but more sophisticated style (similar to Barker's warmup)
Benny greb is the most boring in famous drummers
Dam dude… I stopped playing drums a long time ago and i wish i never stopped.. Drugs took me off that path.. here i am still alive and piecing my drum set back together little by little and this will be the first song i try to play.. 😂 It looks like fun to practice to this song.. i have no idea how travis crosses his arms to hit the cymbals he even hits them on the up stroke i never seen that before.. usually when you hit a cymbal its down but he hits them going up too cool trick ill have to practice that more..
nothing special zero dynamic only loud noise. I can play better even if I can play for 2hours a week but I am not famous.
he was lucky to being in good time and good place.
artur wachowski I doubt it douche
he was recording idiot.. and no, he wasnt just lucky! if u judge his skills and overall hability with just this video, I can see why u are never gonna be famous or reach the same level travis is in right now
You think he's just average? Gesus.. Then after 18 years of playing drums, I would love to be average apparently.
He IS a great drummer .. But popularity is not just a measure of technical ability, people also need to factor in that he's a great showman. He's mesmerizing to watch ..
sounds like an average drummer
+Manuel Lizarzaburu Stfu and enjoy the video. Stop analysing and start watching.
Stfu up and dont let my opnion go straight up your ass. Enjoy the shitty music. Stop analysing opinions.
+GS Brewer pshhh. Hater.
+GS Brewer you first.
Manuel Lizarzaburu
Shut yo mouf virgin
he is a great drummer because he is versatile he plays alot of different music and some how can make it work. i bet if you took another great drummer and had them play outside of their comfort zone they wouldnt do as well. so what makes travis a beast on the drums is that he doesnt have that one single comfort zone he had several
only rudiment travis barker knows is a single stroke roll. sorry and some doubles lmao
wow so incredibly amazing 0 chops/musicianship
You're an idiot. He plays at least 5 different rudiments in this video alone...
lol ok maybe some flam taps....youre a moron hes trash
It looked sponsored (Lucozade watermark)
there is no effect, thats the shitty video quality...
idk how people can hate him...he's talented
K brah!
blackpowerfreak ^ Travis fanboy spotted right here. Zach is right IMO
Naud Roskam ^ Zach fanboy spotted right here. blackpowerfreak is right IMO
blackpowerfreak Cool story man. Ask me how much I care
blackpowerfreak So let me get this straight.
-Just Sayin'
Blake
whens this guy gonna learn some new grooves and fills? hes been playing the same thing over and over again for his entire career.
Well maybe you could show him how to drum then?. Oh sorry you're probably too busy making millions as a drummer already right?
roguebladerunner i love that logic. you cant have an opinion on someone if you arent better than a person or more successful. smart af.
and i wasnt even speaking about his ability. he plays the same things over and over. he was a marching band drummer and anyone whos had band experience is on another level compared to people who havent. that doesnt stop him from being boring as fuck to actual drummers. the only people impressed by travis are drummer that like pop punk or people who dont have drumming experience and dont realize that everything he does is simple and repetitive.
but hes very solid, probably keeps time better than anyone. im willing to bet hes never dragged or rushed a beat in his entire career.
@DearTony1005 that is a DW kit, pause at 2:12 you can see the logo on the tom
overrated
I love Travis he inspires encourage s me I like his rhythm time keeping the feel of his grooves first caught my attention he makes a living also playing drums
Hats of a lot of good things to pick up from him
sounds like an annoying kid playing drums at guitar center
+Bobby Hill you can't say that. my neck beard goes all the way down to my ball fro
2nd Hand Sam aka, you.
@DoubleDz2k11 His ghost notes are insane. The man knows how to make a kit sound huge.
The. Most. Boring. Drummer. Ever.
well, upload your drum playing video..i wanna see it whether you're a boring drummer or not..
green symphonytech It's an opinion.
Fuck you!!
And that's why he's famous and YOUR NOT!
Youre a moron
@rokranmol dude, He's endorsed by DW aswell. he uses DW hardware and DW pedals on all his OCDP kits. he probably just decided to use a DW kit that studio session.
Rally poor creativity on that "solo"
get a fucking life. id like to see you on a drum you dipshit
Exactly. It's about how everything sounds together, and even very technical drummers such as Thomas Lang or Dave Weckl play very simple grooves when they track drums for other artists.
Finally playing a the real best drum kit. DW is by far the best drums in the world
He looks so passionate while drumming!
