Great video, I appreciate the work you put in to produce this, editing, etc. I'm just up the road from you in Port Mac. Would be great to catch up one day. I'm new to the area coming from Vic and definitely need GPS. Looking at one of these units for the Africa twin.

These things happen to everyone. As long as nobody gets hurt everything is fine. Stay strong, ride on!

Since you started new with the Garmin Zumo XT2, and are now used to it, how would you suggest uploading trips from the track recorder to a PC? I've found the GPS stores all tracks in a single (huge) GPX file, and sometimes a single trip on the track recorder is sometimes broken up into numerous separate tracks in the GPX file. Thanks!

Great video. Nice scenery with you and jealous of the heat (I’m in a cold, damp London). Felt for you lifting the bike. I’ve gone for a 690 for 55kg less although less comfort too I guess. My next purchase is an XT2. Looks good.

@@throttleridingadventures Love the countryside so I’ll look out for the next one. The XT2 will be procured. Its first outing will be in the US in May for a 4,000 mile ride over three weeks with an old buddy who lives there. He’s got the comfort of a Tiger 900 but it’s a heavy thing. He’s got height and weight on his side. I’m just north of 70kg and in dire need of some training both fitness and riding. We’re aiming to post our trip so I’ll give the XT and 690 a review as we go. Cheers, Ian

@@throttleridingadventures I don’t like the vibration from the odd crank phasing. The earlier triples were 120 degree and smooth. Also a bit top heavy for me but, of course, age plays its part. Absolutely will do!

Did you say those were BATS!?? They are huge if so. Hey I have the standard XT and love it. Very reliable. I think the best thing is it doesn't leach off the battery. On my T7 I wired it straight to the battery just to see what would happen. I left it on the mount for 2 weeks and never started the bike. When I finally went out to start the bike, it fired up no problem. That proved to me that the GARMIN wouldn't drain my battery if left on the mount when hot wired.

@@throttleridingadventures 😳yeah they are huge. No problem, i know the KTM comes with a switched set of wires, which is what I used on my 1290 SA-R. Too many electronics to mess with on that bike so I figured it was safer on the T7 to experiment with.
