    I just got a microbest yesterday from ar15discounts . My campin looks identical in color. What I don’t like is the bolt only has a very faint MP Stamp and no hp or any other markings. The phosphate on this bcg looks deep black almost like nitride but it’s chrome lined in the 3 bore.
    Thanks for your video 👍🏼

    I actually just learned about this bcg and they're out of stock. I how they don't take too long to make more.

      I'm sure they will come back in no time. If not, primary arms sells the same, BCG under expo brand, minus the sprinco springs. Chrome silicon springs are more rust prone than traditional springs so i actually plan to replace them.

    How's your satisfaction with this BCG considering the tome has passed?

      You know, I have not used it. It was meant for a build that did not come to fruition. I plan to replace the springs with colt before I use it anyway

    My rule of thumb has has always been to use either the insert or the donut. Only use both on a machine gun or where tolerances are really loose, and by that time, it's time to change out more than springs and rubbers. Running both the insert and the donut will tear up brass more, so if reloading is a plan, best not use both. I use just the insert and here is why: once the spring height it roughly that of the insert, the spring is worn out. The is a visual guide only. The only way to be sure is to measure the weight of the spring, but they are so cheap, why not replace? I have tried running the donut and the insert separately and have seen no appreciable change in ejection pattern or performance. I'm curious if you have tried that? Also, I don't use SpringCo springs anymore, unless I have to. Like you said in one of your newer videos, they rust. The Colt "red" (I believe) spring is what I change out to now, but to be honest, I only change them as I go. I just can't spend a day changing everything out. And, I figure, by the time I change them all out, I will hear about or find a better option. I say, keep them fresh. As for BCGs, what a mess! Who knows who makes what for who anymore. I think that the Sionics NP3 coated BCG is the best one going. Phosphate is old tech, NP3 is 100 times better in my opinion.

    The rails on mine are sharp as fuck as well....will that damage anything? Very strange if you ask me

    • @whattheshit4664
      @whattheshit4664  Год назад

      No... but
      It's easier to damage, and likely it will come with small dings and ripples in it out of the box. Then the burrs will rub on the upper

      It's just the way of the world now at least here in the US it seems everything is garbage no matter how little or how much you pay the craftsmanship is embarrassing

      @whattheshit4664  Год назад

      If you don't care about having a little bit of bare metal, take up polishing stone they are those square sticks and just gently run it up and down the rail until it's not so sharp with a little bit of oil

      @@whattheshit4664 Daniel Defense uses Microbest BCG? That's awesome, I just bought this BCG for a striped Daniel Defense DDM4V7 upper I just bought from MidwayUSA for $675. I used a 10% off coupon to get that price. But that upper comes with DD Fixed sights & everything for only $749 amazing deal. I didn't want to spend $200+ on a DD Logo BCG. I was really torn between the DDM4V7 upper & a BCM CHF upper, but since I found the Midway USA DD deal for less than the BCM, it was a no brainier.
