- The SP-5 Smart MIG has three MIG torches that can be setup for three different base metals. The gas and weld program with the appropriate synergic curve automatically switch when pulling the trigger. The SP-5 is ideal for auto body shops welding stainless steel, aluminum and zinc coated steel. In synergic mode, the microprocessor controls optimal arc stability and weld quality. The SP-5 also comes equipped for TIG and MMA/stick welding. MIG and TIG welding can be done in continuous or pulse mode. Maximum power output of 200 A.

I had never heard of mig brazing and now this is the second video I've run across this today. I need some brazing wire for my everlast mig.
I have been experimenting with Silicon Bronze MIG welding and find it easier to work with than mild steel on body sheet metal. Some on different forums tell me that Epoxy primer and Bondo won't stick to bronze. Not sure I believe this!
I wouldnt believe it either. since brazing has been an oem process for generations lol.. lots of b and c pillars have been seem welded with broze as well as many other applications
Looks great. Most videos suggest pushing the puddle, but this looks easier. The important thing is, what does the BACK side of the joint look like? It should have a high, wide bead, or else the joint will fail. The back side bead is the ONLY thing holding the joint together.
what gas is used, wire, temp, and feed speed......
hell of a vid if i had some info
100% argon, as with every other process wire and voltage depends on material and filler thickness.
I never even heard of silicon bronze mig brazing until 5 minutes ago. This is pretty cool. I've got to get some of this wire and try it with my everlast mig.
a lot of techs still mig weld things that shouldn't be, which reverts it back to wild strength steel and makes the panel very weak. You can also get a good idea of the kind of steel by grinding it, the rooster tail of sparks signify what is usually is
Dialed in.. nice.
that was slick
I never realized silicon bronze was available on a roll for mig welding. That is soemthing I need to try with my everlast mig welder.

I wonder if it's possible to fix cracks in cast iron whit this methode?
Använd nickelpinnar till MMA går att TIGa med nickelpinnar avsedda för MMA med. Ska själv ge mig på det på en borrmaskin som en säljare välte med trucken när jag skulle köpa.
Why wasn't he using a weld buster?
what gas is used ?iis pure Argon ?
NICE!
What settings
je veut apprender a souder avec le mig
Газа мало, постгаз больше нужен...
Idk about y’all but I went into welding school and follow welding pages this is some weak welding here just send it and if u have a feeling ur going to burn through tig weld it usually if anything is under 3/16 then I would prefer to tig it at that point just me though like I don’t even think u got full penetration on that weld idk seems sus just tapping the trigger let that puddle burn in a bit
Penetration? 🤔
Do you know what your talking about?
its actually brazing, not welding
@@yurimodin7333idk I did brazing before and my teacher had us use a oxy fuel torch with this stick and it we would melt the stick on anything we were trying to fuse together that’s the brazing we did when I see a mig gun near I just consider it welding brazing to me is melting shit together
@@nathanarmendariz48you were welding with gas torch, not brazing. Brazing doesnt bond material permanently.
I'm thinking about buying an everlast mig welder with pulse. It would seem to me that the pulse feature could make this process a lot faster without burn through??
You shouldn't get any burn through, the bronze melts at a much lower temp than the steel will.
please to tell me if silicon bronze mig available for welding aluminium part , and what apport gaz , is it necessary ?
I've tried bronze on aluminum and it doesnt work, argon, doesnt wanna blend together and if you do get it to stick, it's very very weak
You picked the one metal that you don't use silicon bronze. Nearly every other metal - stainless, titanium..... Youi can use silicon bronze on. Best gas should have helium in it. Best thing for ally is a TIG but if you have a very good pulse MIG like a Fronius, that will do your aluminium.
