Depends if your looking to do your cars at home scan a few cars and make a few bucks absolutely! If you trying to use this as a scanner in a shop look elsewhere.
It’s a handy device that’s hooks to my phone quick and easy i leave it in the car sometimes plugged in lol
will it read your actual millage with out entering it manually ?
Yes it will when you run a complete system scan
Diy do you know if this acanner can monitor radiator cooling fans to see if they kick on and off can you check and verify please
The live data feature should show it, but you would not need a scanner to tell you if it's on you should be able to hear and feel the fan when it comes on.

@@jvst20051 so this is a pretty basic scanner it does show live data so it is possible but it can not switch them as this is not a bi directional scanner. If your a home fixer in your car this will definitely help if your a mechanic suggest getting a little more expensive one
Read abs? I get turn on lights abs, traccion control and brake on my ram 2015 mh friend says maybe the speed sensor abs that can read wich one of 4 its the bad one?

I don't think there is any OBD2 device that CAN'T clear codes. Even the $6 ebay special, paired with the free version of Torque, will clear codes.

reset as in turn off the check engine light yes but if there is a fault the light will come back on...

Does it do transmission temp as live data? I got a bluedriver that does not but the rest seems good. It doesn't even show trans temp at all which is disappointing as I need it as live data feedback
It does not do live trans fluid it takes a snap shot of it at the time of scan of the car is capable
@@DIYKAI oh ok, well that's worthless then. They sure do go a long way to try to keep you from changing your own trans fluid so you can buy new transmission soon as warrantees expire. Can't imagine why even the cheapest junk meter that does live data can't read trans temp live?

@@DIYKAI 2018 Camry with 8 speed auto. I tried a blue driver but it won't read trans temp on it even though it reads live data. Most the expensive have a time based reoccurring fee instead of just updating to include new models which as a diyer that automatically throws that option out because who wants to pay yearly for a tool they may not even use in a year. I could understand paying $100 when you want it to update to the newest and best models once you need it but to pay a fee reoccurring constantly is ridiculous just to continue use the tool and all the features. Having trouble finding a good one without all these required reoccurring fees. If people willing to buy it they'll ask be willing to rip everyone off so more and more are moving towards that. Already paying hundreds for a computer that was probably $50 so most of that extra money was already for the software. Then you don't get to use it once the membership expires? Seems crazy

This thing sucks!! I lost my BAFX that i use with torque pro. This wont check trans temp, mpg, or many other simple functions like bafx does. Returning and buying another bafx.
yes this is a very basic scanner we get trans temp from fords in a freeze frame? not sure why you didnt
@@DIYKAI yet another thing that this dongle doesn't support, freeze frame data.
@@pcrepairguys yea not sure what your doing wrong this is an entry level scanner and we can read freeze frame on a 01 escape…….as well as trans temp on KOEN and it will snap shot it every time the key is cycled

@@SnyderOutdoors literally not we just had the hyper dodo hooked up and it froze and couldn’t pull code of an 01 prelude hooked up the HF one ZERO issues. Unless you have compared both side by side like we did performance wise you cannot tell people it’s the same
Habor Freight needs to jave trainers train the sales staff or cashier's to know how this works and what phones it works with.. Laurel Md. Staff is incompetent.
If you can’t figure out how to use this thing I highly suggest you just take your car to a mechanic

@@DIYKAI Yeah I only need it to check my transmission fluid level, as long as it shows it I’m going to buy it today
I don’t think it will live stream the temp it takes a snap shot when you connect it and you can read it. You may have to refresh the scan to see an update on the temp but we were able to see cold temp then drove rescanned and seen warm temp

@@Jacob-od5yo I don't think it will be able to tell you where boost is leaking from at best it may show relative boost PSI
