    Process gain: the ratio between percent change of process variable to percent change of output.
    dead time: time needed for the tank level (process variable) to start changing after the valve starts opening (output start changing).
    time constant: time needed for the tank level (process variable) to reach 63.2% of the total tank level (process variable) change.

      Process lag is combination of process dead time + (5 x process time constant). imgur.com/a/iLqH4jl
