Mini twists are very effective at growing your hair but i found it difficult to stay consistent due to the long installation/takedown time. Chunky twists however, i find just as effective and with the added bonus of me being able to stay consistent with it. I went from a stagnant 17inches, to past 26inches just by being able to stay consistent. Just a tip for those struggling to stay consistent with mini twists/braids.
@@Kedesh14 I wash my hair every month, sometimes I go longer. I refresh every 2 weeks to keep them looking neat. I spray my hair and scalp with a tea and condition my hair with a leave in before re-twisting and I don’t use a comb/brush for this. I only use a brush on my hair on washdays once saturated with conditioner. I have a maximum of 20 twists in, sometimes less.
Thank you @atarabat-yah2437 I needed to hear this, guess it’s a sign because mini twist take down drains me and I get knots with them and I’m a 4b 4c hair so I will definitely try the chunky twist
My mini twist went from taking 2 hours to a full day and I’m only at 13-16 inches because the back of my hair grows slower then the front. They are amazing for me to maintain stretch and styles are waaayyyy easier. I not longer do straight styles because tbh my hair wasn’t meant for that plus I got tired of doing my edges,
I used to mini twist when my hair was shorter but now it takes too long and i can't leave them in long enough for them to be worthwile to me. My hair would start to lock after a week so I would have to continually redo the edges after two weeks. I wear medium to chunky twists and wash every 2-3 weeks. I can leave them in between wash days or wear a twist out and refresh as needed.
Ahh interesting! I’m glad the chunky twists are working for you. I’ve been seeing lots of comments similar to yours. I have to give chunky twists a try and see if I like them. Thank you for watching!
I like the idea of Mimi twist and they look so pretty, but my hair is thin and I absolutely hate how it looks on me so idk how I’m supposed to get my hair to grow with it. It’s easy to love mini twist when you have thick hair.
I wonder if adding curls to your twists would help you give the illusion of thickness. I’m not sure exactly what your hair looks like but I just wonder if that would help. I also wonder if you’ve ever heard or used fenugreek. It’s a great product that helps with hair thickness. I have a video on it that might be useful: ruclips.net/video/JdZYt4AOYnw/видео.html Thank you for watching!
I like mini twists but they don’t like me🤣… my twists unravel, i have to use perm rods at the end so it’s difficult to stay consistent with that routine with 3 kids( one of them is 4 months old)
☹️ I’m sorry to hear that! There is a specific way that I twist that I think might help you. I will do a video on it ASAP and will keep you updated. Take care of yourself mama! Sending love to you and your babies!
Would adding curls to your help give the illusion of thickness? Honestly when my hair was shorter I did not always appreciate mini twists because I too felt bald but I kept doing them anyways and the contributed to the growth of my hair.
I often will spray my hair with aloe Vera juice, water, glycerin, peppermint oil and eucalyptus oil. I can make a more thorough video. Thank you for watching!
Honestly I prefer mini twists over mini braids. I like the look of mini braids but the installation time is brutal!!! Never mind the take down time. Just ridiculous!! So mini twists every day.

Hey, how long do you leave your chunky twists in?

Thank you for the tip! I’ll have to try 2 months with chunky twists and see which works best for my lifestyle. Much appreciated!
@MadeWithLoveHair I prefer chunky twist myself due to my hair being super fine and medium density.

I'm currently wearing minitwists myself. Love them!
They’re the absolute best!
The style was so cute!

Mine grows the opposite of yours... Longer at the back, shorter in front. 15-18 inches
Not you getting tired of the edges 😂😂 I feel you tho!
I think I might be more like you too. Longer in the back and shorter in the front.
Thank you for watching!

So beautiful I hope to try this one day😩
Definitely give it a try. Your hair will be thankful!
I love mini twist
Thank you!!
Great video. Hair is beautiful! Why don't you trim the ends when they look see thru & rough like that? Just curious!
Thank you for watching!
Only because I have an appointment for a professional trim. Otherwise I would’ve done them myself. Good looking out!
I love this but I alway feel bald headed when I do it. I want mine to look fuller

Great video. Do you wash your hair while its in twists and how often?
I do! Every 3 weeks. I have a video coming out soon showing how I maintain the twists. Stay tuned!
Thank you for watching!
Awesome video, how long have you been growing your hair
It’s been a while honestly. Since 2015 I’ve been actively growing it out.
Where are you from? Are you Haitian! You are beautiful and your hair is gorgeous
Thank you! And thank you for watching! Yes I am Haitian!!!
How do you take care of your ends, or how do you re moisture after some weeks. As soon as i add moisture, they shrink or unravel.
I often will spray my hair with aloe Vera juice, water, glycerin, peppermint oil and eucalyptus oil.
I can make a more thorough video.

Awesome video, what's your take on mini twists vs mini braids?
Honestly I prefer mini twists over mini braids. I like the look of mini braids but the installation time is brutal!!! Never mind the take down time. Just ridiculous!! So mini twists every day.
For me I love mini braids but my scalp becomes sour when I do them, mini twist is better for my scalp

Ahhh mini braids are definitely not for everyone. Although I love the look, I don’t think I’ll ever do them on my hair again 😲
I do mini twist myself, especially during the summer. So you wash your hair while it's in?
Yes I do! The next video I post will be on how I maintain them. Stay tuned! Thank you for watching!
Do you wash/deep condition your hair while in the mini twists?
I do! I will be putting out a video in 2 weeks about the maintenance of my mini twists. I’ll keep you updated when it comes out!
Did you blow dry your hair prior?
I did blow dry my hair using the REVAIR before doing this.
Please, how many hours does it take you to finish?
This took me about 12 hours to do. Not in 1 seating but altogether I would say 12
Awesome video, how long have you been growing your hair
Actively since 2015. I’ve never had a relaxer but my hair was once damaged because I would straighten it ALL the time.
