This from Wiki:
Space Patrol is a British science-fiction television series featuring marionettes that was produced in 1962 and broadcast beginning in 1963. It was written and produced by Roberta Leigh in association with the Associated British Corporation.
Roberta Leigh was so far ahead of her time. And at the time it was set, my grandson will only be 83.
I've thoroughly enjoyed this..thank you!!
Out of context, this premise of this episode sounds kinda funny:
"A heat wave?? It's those damn Neptunians again!"
Usually I don't care for colorized versions of black and white movies but in this case, I really like it. Thank you
Thanks Gregg for the positive feedback. I get a very mixed response to my colourising experiments!
I've never seen a puppet sweat. 2:46
Neat trick!
They do that a lot in thunderbirds
I thought I'd imagined that! Or it was a scratch on the film
You've never seen them wanking in the bath.
Yobba Rays On!
Choice sexism there 'always agree with a woman it saves a lot of bother'.
On the other hand, the script is intelligently written and grounded in science. Sort of.
Neptunian telepathy, so no language barrier. Dart experiencing G forces. Electromagnetism field blocking most of the Sun's rays......even an EMP event
16:52 Wait, how is the robot working? What, do you wind him up? Or is he some Russian POS and runs on potato vodka?
The script has the communications gear still working because it used "transistors and batteries". So apparently the the electromagnetic field only affected centralised power distribution systems. Since the robots would also have to use batteries, they would still work too.
