      Thanks John. Water is still quite green so they're a little hard to see but hopefully I get that rectified soon and post a video that shows them as they are meant to be seen.

      No problem. I don't get notifications at times either. I weighed the large chagoi about 9 or 10 years ago and she came in at 11 pounds then. Not sure what she weighs now but she is heavy.

    Nice to see your koi up close. Was hoping to see them in the pond. May be next time.
    You can access the air fittings by removing the 3 screws where the over flows are, remove the central part and remove the media. If you look at my video called spring prep, I did exactly that

      @mykoiobsession  2 года назад +1

      Hi Lau. I've taken the filter apart as you suggested in the past but only to change from pump fed to gravity fed, never to access the air fittings because that has never been an issue. Once I get my filtration additions up and running I'll have to take another look at the EazyPod. Thanks again for the advice.

      @@mykoiobsession you must be happy to see the koi again in your pond after everything you have been through. Looking forward to seeing the next episode. Take care

    Fairly sure you can remove the whole centre section by removing the overflow tri as Lau said. Seem to recall I did it once when I first got the pod to clean it out.

      Hi Graham. Removing the 'Y' piece at the top of the filter and the stainless centre tube is not a problem but I'm not sure if I can access/remove the broken piece even once that's done as it is between the outer side of the large stainless part and the outer wall of the filter. I'm working on some filtration additions so haven't tired the repair yet. A video about my filtration changes/additions will be coming very soon.

    My air pump is strong but not sure mine boils as well as yours in the Eazy pod

      This year by adding the second pump I'm able to keep both the moving bed filters and aerated bottom drain functioning during EazyPod cleaning. Much better than previous years. Don't know why I didn't of it sooner.

    Hi are you aware that you get a better clean if you raise the water level

    • @mykoiobsession
      @mykoiobsession  2 года назад +1

      Hi. Yes I am aware of that. Following an entire year of the pond full but unused due to illness I have made significant modifications to my filtration system this year and am in the process of adding even more filtration components. As I do this I am still tweaking flow rates, etc which impact the levels in the Eazypod. I will get it sorted hopefully soon but do appreciate the comment. 👍🏻

    Hi ken you can get to the air fitting but you have to empty the media i used a wet and dry vacuum and then remove the y piece the mesh should come with it. If you look back at my video how the convert a pod to gravity fed you can see how it comes out. You should be able to do it in place and won't take long to do.I hope that helps. Andy👍link to that video here.

    Your measuring in centimetres not inches

    • @mykoiobsession
      @mykoiobsession  2 года назад +1

      Definitely measuring in inches. Although Canada uses the metric system for most things items like lumber, pipe and pipe fittings, etc are measured in inches, feet, etc. I grew up learning inches, feet, yards, etc and at 72 still prefer the imperial system of measurement.
