What is a Haptic Device?

it would make hand restless because of hand in the air
also i want to know what is the difference between heptic device and the pen tablet I use to sculpt and mode 3d models in zbrush and various other tools

The difference is force feedback. If you sculpt with a normal pen tablet, you can't feel the model. It just feels like sliding a pen along a piece of glass.
With a haptic device it feels like your pen is touching the 3d model.
