    Excellent video, Brian! Super helpful. I'd add Salt-Off to the prewash solution at this time of the year along with something like Surfex HD at 7%. If the car is very dirty I'd go over it again with the pump sprayer with plain water before doing the contact wash. I live in the UK so we can still use the coin wash to power rinse the car but if that wasn't an option, I'd choose a waterless wash product that can be foamed, like Frothe. Frothe is too expensive to bring over so I use a local product with a foam sprayer and it works great. BSD to finish off and that's it. I found your comment about micro marrying liberating. Most of us would do a light polish once a year or so thus any love marks will be gone come spring 😊.

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  2 года назад +2

      Thank you! There are definitely many different things that can be done when doing a rinseless. I would love to try Ammo Frothe but I think it’s to expensive in the states also. Glad you liked the comment about micro marring. 😉

    Brian, Excellent comments about rinseless & waterless washes. I too live in the Hartland, & we experience cold, snowy winters. I use ONR & Power Clean, and the Gary Dean method of washing. I have done this method of rinseless washing for several years and would recommend it to anyone, Thanks for the tips and video.

    Mckee's 37 N914 and Graphene Rinseless work great and both can be mixed for rinseless, waterless, clay lube or detail spray/drying aid. The Graphene Rinseless provides a little protection with amazing shine & gloss. Adam's Graphene CS3 works great as a waterless, detail spray or drying aid/topper too.

      I’m hoping to buy the McKee’s soon and try it out. I have heard it’s not real slick though. What’s your thoughts

    • @mak259
      @mak259 2 года назад +1

      @@FABAutomotiveDetailing I think N914 is just as slick as ONR, depending on the dilution. I've only used the Graphene Rinseless as a drying aid at the detail spray dilution so far, so I can't speak to its slickness as a rinseless.

    I wish you would have started out with an actual dirty truck. How do you deal with caked-on road salt and dried up road and mud splashes? I would think rubbing a microfiber towel over it would scratch the heck out of the paint.

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  2 года назад +2

      Like I said in the video these methods are not meant for extremely dirty or caked on salt or mud. When that happens I have to take it to a touch free car wash to get the majority off then come home and do a rinseless wash.

    Great video Brian. Only thing I would of done differently after the initial wipe instead of using a microfiber towel to dry is use a leaf blower to dry the vehicle. Way quicker and as you know there's no contact to the surface.

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  2 года назад +2

      Thanks! Leaf blower works great when you have standing water on panels but Rinsless washes don’t leave much water behind so I’m not sure how effective it would be. Great idea though

    I recently bought an IK Pro 12 for this. Been trying McKees N914 as pre spray before traditional 2 bucket washes. I can't touch -7 degrees, but in my hood here we have been waking up to 24-26 degrees so yah its time. Batch up rinseless, semi warm bucket o water. Spray, damp towel wipe, dry with fresh towel and a detailer. First test drive of the Phoenix TiTan the other day, Used a tick too much but I really like the way it left our truck.
