  • A deadly little pattern that should be in all fly boxes! This midge emerger can be tied in any colour and various sizes to match any midge hatch. The design allows the midge to fish correctly with the rear of the body submerged, with the CDC keeping it afloat. Try it and it will increase your hook up's!
    Hook: Mustad R43AP # 14
    Thread: Sheer 14/0 Brown
    Rib: Copper wire
    Body: Tying thread
    Gills: White CDC
    Wing: Natural CDC
    Thorax: Hares ear dubbing (optional)

Beautiful Chironomid Barry. Have you tried the same pattern using CDC “Puffs” for thorax? Hope the book does well in Japan!!
