  • 500 students at Cornwall Elementary School in Pennsylvania participated in this didgeridoo-focused assembly which includes:
-The history and origin of the didgeridoo from the Aboriginal Australian perspective
-Traditional animals sounds that can be played through the didgeridoo
-How to make different sounds on the didgeridoo
-Didgeridoo dance-alongs complete with different dance moves
-How termites hollow out the logs used to make didgeridoos
    -and more!
Later that day we conducted didgeridoo making workshops for the entire 5th grade, so 100 kids got to take home their own homemade PVC didgeridoos.
AJ Block is the Director of Didge Project and conducts presentations such as this at schools and libraries across the US. For more information and booking, contact info@didgeproject.com

This was so great, tha k you for sharing your talent with youngsters. I am in my 40s and I can still remember presentations from that age, so you made a impression. This kind of thing is important.....exposing children to world culture.

Thanks AJ and didge project for sharing the wonderful culture of the First Nations people of Australia, something we need to adopt more in our own country. As you mentioned in your presentation there is always debate on historical stories, but one thing for certain European colonisation played a significant role in changing the authentic traditional name's.
Aboriginal is derived from Latin hence why we refer to them as indigenous first nations people and their traditional name is Koori.
Didgeridoo is actually Didjeridu and the first one was the Yidaki of the Yolnu people from North East Arhnem land in Northern Territory.
Theres lots to read up on about Australian First Nations people to share the knowledge, but thankyou for spreading the powerful energy of the Didjeridu. 🙏👍✌️👏
