haha! Sweet! I'm from Etobicoke and was living in Parkdale at the time *and working at the cable tv station that paid me to film this. I'd toured in the states before this following the dead to various shows. Cameras weren't welcome. We had a big TV News style camera for the community tv station this time. It was better. Host Mike was about as far away as anything from a tv show host. It worked to get some people talking. I'm glad I got to put it up here before the tape degrades and to add it to the online archive of our memories. Also glad you enjoyed it!!
@@RhysSpencer Ha! Amazing! I met some tapers from NYC and they helped me smuggle in the videocamera (and VHS deck which was separate). Never would have gotten it in without them. Videotaping was strictly forbidden. Sadly, the deck didn't have the juice to make it through the whole show without finding a plug.
I took two sheets into canada for that show sewn under the label of my jacket. Sold em all as singles in about 5 minutes.
Funny the guy talking about Meigs County too. That's where we got our bus from that we took out west after summer tour 88.
Small world!

2018: people in this video are from the USA and Canada - AND - they are mixing and cross communicating. Hopefully that kind of reality will return.
