For anyone wondering, one of the end bosses does 32-36 damage, so it would do 64-72 damage pre-mitigation. With 5 armor (which is 25% reduced smog), Retro would have died from one boss hit and anything else sneezing on him!
This was a very entertaining run to watch. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the video as your humble potatoes followed a classic hero's journey - starting strong and one shotting nearly everything, then the omg I'm so weak middle, and finally coming full circle to out scale everything. Awesome.
I love how this man was like "I refuse to believe i didn't get one shot" proceeds to buy peacock. Also i think that without early crown and tractor this run would have been a whole other trouble.
Honestly, I think the biggest hurdle on the first 2 minibosses were the mobs. You were constantly surrounded (either by the Mummies on bull, or babies on Spawner) Then on the final boses there really weren't many regular enemies so you could focus on the bosses (though the damage scaling definitely helped as well)
Double Old will be weird fr Double Explorer will be insane fr Double Luck will be lucky fr Double Lich will be devious fr Double Soldier will be unfair fr Double Streamer will be rich fr Double Arm-Dealer will be saucey fr
I'd like to see a double crazy, 200% range with precise weapons. Imagine a knife going through the entire map to hit one of the babies, when is the last time you played crazy or even used a knife ?
does the harvest end-of-round growth also affect negative harvest? because if so, the character with -3 harvest per turn might be interesting to double up on
i feel like enemies drop "x" doesn't function like i think it does. like yeah they visibly drop more money but the total amount per level doesn't feel any different.
double one armed is sadly bugged - at least for me. it seems it is coded for "minus 5 maximum weapons", so 1x OneArm is 1 weapon, but 2x OneArm is -4 weapons... which basically treats it like it cannot equip weapons, and as such you're stuck with your start weapon because no more will show up in the shops.
So this combo effectively gets you..: -66% damage output 500% money, but 90(??)% less enemies for a total of 50% less econ(?).(Not sure on how the minimum cap on enemy% works) -50% survivability On paper, this looks like a massive nerf with no obvious upsides.
@@Retromation Also, for -150% enemies, that's still a lot more enemies than one might expect, meaning the econ is much better than it initially appears. Maybe the game works by increasing the number of enemies by a flat % amount each wave, like +20% enemy spawns per wave (plus any modifiers for horde waves etc..)?
@@Nauriek I was gonna say this actually. I find Jack to be incredibly difficult, in large part due to getting strangled by money (since he gets triple money but a fourth of the enemies). But then I see this and if anything the econ is *better* than normal due to the amount of enemies spawning clearly not being 1/16. To me this looked easier than straight up Jack...
Double loud! Break the sound barrier!
Oh fuck yeah, kupo!
Maximum enemies sounds like the next logical step.
Jacksepticeye isnt in brotato???

Imagine if he got peacock too, that'll be another 50% added to it
I think an interesting run could be either double old or double explorer I think it's called. Really big or really small map sounds amusing!
I tried double old, but it crashed for me on wave 12 ;( haven't tried it again.
@@willardtaylor6395 You unlocked the Demo Run. :p

Where to get this version of the mod?
Tried to find it but no luck so far. If there's a name for the version I'd appreciate if someone could tell me.
Wave 19 rolled past a laser gun
Knight Knight might be fun. -100% attack speed and harvesting modifications, but double the damage from armor
I love how this man was like "I refuse to believe i didn't get one shot" proceeds to buy peacock.

10:32 I used to be obsessed with The Reason! Also, really good video, as usual.
I loved watching the struggle and then conquering of this run!

Of course you get offered 3x bearded baby on a run where it's borderline useless XD nice video, as always.
I would 100% watch another double jack run! maybe melee?
how can i combine 2 same characters?
Idea: The One Armed Paper Hanger One armed + Speedy
I wonder how insane double Cyborg is. Increasing Ranged Damage modifications by 500%.
He would be approximately at the level of its betaversion
Great Run
Speedy and multitasker, or multitasker and multitasker. Both could be fun
Double saver? Lets be riiiich
Double Old will be weird fr
Double Explorer will be insane fr
Double Luck will be lucky fr
Double Lich will be devious fr
Double Soldier will be unfair fr
Double Streamer will be rich fr
Double Arm-Dealer will be saucey fr
double multi tasker wouldn't do anything
it would just get 2x reduced damage for each weapon
Double Loud, Double Old, Double Explorer, Double Knight... crazy possibilities
I wonder what old and artificer would do. Would it make an ultra tiny map?
How small of a map will happen with double old?
I'd like to see a double crazy, 200% range with precise weapons. Imagine a knife going through the entire map to hit one of the babies, when is the last time you played crazy or even used a knife ?
The Paradox: Speedy + Soldier
Double multitasker

Oh god double speedy would be horrible on your eyes
i feel like enemies drop "x" doesn't function like i think it does. like yeah they visibly drop more money but the total amount per level doesn't feel any different.
Double onearmed, double old, double lumberjack
Double Old! Is there a need to move?
Double generalist would be crazy
One could say you were... Jacked up xD
Now that i think about it literally anything doubled is crazy. Even one armed or old

Double saver would be stupidly broken wouldn't it?
Can anyone tell me how to play 2 same character? I can only play 2 different character.
Sick bull
I don't understand why there are enemies with -150% enemy reduction
Double well rounded
Jack and loud? Most busted run yet?
Speedy Streamer. High risk, high reward.
Double Mutant
double multitasker? 😂
please do a jack unarmed build just to lean into memes

The upside is generally just less enemies = less wasted overflow damage, but it absolutely is no doubt a challenge mode.
