Seems like King Argon was completely incompetent. Fighting a bloody civil war, then mere months after declaring a crusade on another kingdom? Malric even advised against the war, he seems to be a better fit leader.

King Argon was already dead by the time of the civil war. He had conquered all of Agatha before going on the crusade. He wasn't incompetent, but extremely cocky.

The continent issent actually called Agatha and it issent an empire, but a kingdom because it’s ruled by a king. The continent what I have read it is referred only as “the unified realms” that being the realms of Olde Agatha, Parodin, Arthane, Ramnor, Irilla, Marinar, Barema and Vantear (Malrics homeland, or at least the place were the Trayan Citadel is located (citadel map from chiv 1) Malrics seat of power. If you haven’t checked it out allready I would recommend reading the lore page in game under News & Info - Lore, it’s next to Play in main menu. There you can also find the updated map, which you can read some of the text, I think Stonehill is in the middle (Parodin) close to the maps wardenglade and coxwell.

Most of the information I found was from the Chivalry 1 Manual & Chivalry 2 Lore Videos n such, I’ll look more into this later on, thanks for the comment

@@batoziac3489 Is the Chivalry 1 Manual official though, in game Malric is never referred to as "Malric Terrowin" or that Argon is the family name of the Agathian kings, so not Alfonso Argon and Danum Argon, but Argon I & Argon II. Maybe they simplefied it so it would be easier for people that have never heard of them to understand? I think some of the lore goes as far back as Age of Chivalry, the Half life 2 mod.

@@batoziac3489 After reading the manual I now agree with you about calling the continent Agatha. That's why the original Agatha lands of the North now is called Old Agatha. An in the text it is referred to as an empire a couple of times.

Malric has betrayed Agatha for his own selfish gain I know because I once saw him as a friend until the crusades came and I stayed behind as I refused to believe that desius was murdered because I had fought with that man since the Great War I returned to see that Malric had taken over the kingdom and now I fight against him because I lost my friend in that desert and he killed friedrik as well
