Found the same problem : ABS sensor moved position and touched the magnetic ring to rust developed under the seating surface. Replaced the abs sensor but need the magnetic ring to replace aswell...very usefull video
Hi, Yes that was my first or second video and I did not have much video equipment then - not that I have much now :) I have just described the process. Maybe I can explain some more for you? Just let me know. Cheers
Hi.... I've booked my peugeot 3008 into the garage for repair....the diagnostic tester said it was a faulty abs sensor ...but when i replaced it with a brand new one the abs light stays on and wont go out.....does it need to be reset via diagnostic machine ?.....
Hi, In my case (Peugeot 307 SW - 2005) I just needed to drive 10-20 meters for the light to disappear on its own after the sensor & magnetic ring replacement. I am not sure whether 3008 use the same philosophy. Have you tried to drive for a minute or two? Another thing you can check is the distance you left between the sensor and the ring. If this is too far, it won't detect the rotation. If too close, it might be almost toughing the magnetic ring and getting linear signal "ON" all the time. While you are checking that you can inspect the magnetic ring as well (nonetheless i do not think this is the ring, as the light is there at all times). Cheers
FilthyLock plus hope u didn't have the handbrake pulled. Then just a screwdriver from the back and once hammered around it. For my car you can not buy an abs tone ring on its own, only together with the brake drum and bearring, costing over 100 Euro. Stupid japanese garbigcubes
Hi Kamil, Unfortunately, Yes. I had a discussion with another subscriber few months ago. He claimed that you can do it through the hole in the brake disc (wheel bolt hole). I cannot see this as possible solution but he wrote that he managed to do that. Cheers
on the bk abs harness plugs what are the colors passenger side left the 2 wires that go into connector as mine snapped no way to tell which goes were color of wires are red/with stripe and blue with stripe which 1 goes to pin 1 and pin 2 on connection
Hi Stewart, Sorry for late reply. Do you mean the direct connection leading to the rear ABS sensor? If yes, do you mean wires on the connection on the sensor side or the car side?
Hi Robert, What I did is as following: 1) Approach the face of the braking disc (this is the back side face of the braking disc - see video minute 8:20) 2) Take small sharp flat screwdriver and place it between the face of the disc and the magnetic ring 3) Use a hammer on the screwdriver handle to separate the magnetic ring from the hub 4) Repeat same procedure on the opposite side of the ring - it needs to come off bit by bit on the whole diameter as it sits quite tight and when you do it on one side only you risk jamming the ring Hope it helps! Let me know how did it go :) Cheers
Is It Fixed Yet ? Thank you, this worked a treat. Just one more question, where does the actual abs sensor lie in relation to the abs ring, does it lie behind the abs ring or on the side of the ring ie ( largest diameter part). Any help would be greatly appreciated. once again thanks for your help.
Hi Robert, Check out the video minute 6:50. I point my finger on the bolt holding the ABS Sensor and straight after that (approx. 6:52 minute) I point at the ABS Sensor itself. The sensor is mounted on the disc protector, right next to the axle shaft interface for the braking disc. Do you see it?
Hi Zead, I understand that you have a control light on the dashboard showing the problem with the engine, yes? Do you see or hear any other problems with the car? It would help with the diagnostics. Cheers
So...what was this video ABOUT ? ... I'm afraid I've missed the "Replacing ABS Sensor & Magnetic Ring in Peugeot 307 SW (2005)" episode :)))

Soooooo how did you remove the ring? 🙈
Did you check live data? I'm curious what you would expect to see on live data when the sensor is pushed towards the ring from rust
Should support car with something other than trolley jack?
Thanks. Good video. The caliper mounting bracket bolts should be renewed if removed.
Thanks but you failed to show how you actually replace the ring

Perhaps y can show how adjust abs element
A co jak rozszczepi się łożysko przy zdejmowaniu? to zakładam że cała piasta do wymiany...
Greats video very helpful got up to removing the large 32mm nut though just slipping the disc of just doesnt seem to happen.
The disc has an integrated bearing so dependent on the disc manufacturer it may take some more force to remove it.
FilthyLock plus hope u didn't have the handbrake pulled.
Then just a screwdriver from the back and once hammered around it.

Is it necessary to remove the disc in order to just replace an ABS cable?

Hey, yes u can according to Haynes, no need to remove the disc. Keep the good job mate!
I confirm, it is possible without taking the disc out.

Do you see it?
Du you spek russian?
Only the basics :) I can try to explain some more details in Russian. Write me a message with the question on my mail and I will try my best.
good night please llike learning how fix the light engine light in the dashboard. thankfully
Hi Zead,

Never work on a car on the jack only. Use an axel stand. Really stupid.
