- Riders went side by side on their extended 450s at Poags Hole, in Dansville, NY. There were some crazy close runs, and some upsets thrown into the mix. The riders that won this round qualified into the top 16, as the races dwindled down in this tournament-style race bracket.

I don’t even ride a motorcycle but that was awesome this should be in the X games look at all the people watching.
In the background it is all of the riders pop-up tents for their bikes and gear, so far fewer people there than it seems. I agree this is awesome and should have a much bigger fan base!

The man at 3:02 really went smooth up the first part. And so did the man at 5:54. Perhaps he was even the fastest? And a truly unbelievable neck-to-neck race at 6:20.
So there is just single camera to capture this event? Would be cool to see one from the top.

The guys in the right lane were jumping straight across into the left lane. Riders came very close to hitting eachother over the first step up
This is great, its good to come up with something different, makes it more exciting for spectators and competitive between racers.👍

Not always but most of the time the guys that are clean on the jumps and keep momentum are the ones that usually roll over the top

Looks like the right side has an easier/shorter line or something. They're beating the left side at the first turn every single time. The more skilled riders on the left catch up to only the unskilled riders on the right as the hill steepens.

This is a totally different kind of hillclimbing.
As a dirtbiker you have 3 opponents.
1. The hill itself (can you make it to the top?)
2. The other dirtbiker you have to beat
3. And also the time it takes to reach the top (if you make it at all).
So 3 elements in this kind of hillclimbing, makes it to be a fantastic cocktail of spectaculair hillclimbing that is much more exiting than the regular kind of hillclimbing.

Centripetal and centrifugal forces!!! Going from right gives inward stabilizing force(centripetal) BUT hoing from left give outward destabilizing force.(centrifugal)

I've watched a fair bit of hillclimbing but never seen side by side racing before, liked & subbed :-)
The last guy killed it from the left side. Jumped right over the whoopdy doos, and straight to the top!!!

Wow that's a pretty cool track. Though I'd hate to be the one in the rear as soon as I get the hill climb. I can imagine the force of the roostertail coming off the rear wheel in front of you
If it was me, I want to launch on the right side. Personally, I have noticed that I'm good at making left turns with left leg out and right side(stronger hand/leg) holding bike steady... is this why most of the winners are on the right side?!?

I know these guys are pros, but nice see a real tough hill that is doable.. nice flat dirt to put the power down..

That is what I was thinking too. Seemed like the majority of the riders on the right side made it to the first big jump sooner.
I thought the same but notice how the riders take to the left going up the hill. Seems to even out.

The RUclips vid "hillclimb havoc" has a Sideview pic of part of the hillside (as the vid's initial picture advertisement). You can tell the hill angle by comparing the hillside safety crew to the nitrous bike heading past the safety crew guy.

Everyone complaining about the gates.. the clear line is out of the left gate, ya the right gate is shorter but you get a way better drive off the left gate and just pin it straight. You’ll pass the the guy on the right if you clear the first double... feet on the pegs and pin it to win it!!!
