My parents, who are in their 70s and 80s, respectively, hired a friend of a friend early this spring for a day to help with a large project in the garden. While working, he came up to my father with something he found. We couldn’t believe it-he had found my mother’s diamond tennis bracelet, a gift from my father on their 10th wedding anniversary. My mother doesn’t wear much jewelry and was heartbroken when she lost it many years ago. This year was their 51st wedding anniversary, and they couldn’t believe he found it after all these years! They didn’t even recognize it at first when he showed it to them. They had to clean it twice before realizing what it was! Back then, she must have been walking in the garden when the clasp broke. What’s so ironic is that the man who found it mentioned this isn’t the first time he’s found something for someone. He has previously found a ring and another piece of jewelry for a family member.
I turned 60 this year and my goal is to work on lots of self care. After losing my parents young and my husband and I raising our children with no help, it is now my time to invest in my health.I thank God he has blessed me with 60 years. Your video was very inspiring!

We've been redoing our kitchen ourselves, so the stove (curently not hooked up) and the fridge are being stored in our detached garage. Our church has been very generous and letting me use their kitchen facilities for as long as I need to. Yesterday I decided to find ingredients I already had to prepare some meals and only use our microwave. I did it! I made 3 large meals that we can eat on for several days.
Time to fire up the BBQ too. Don't have a BBQ or camping stove? One or the other are great to have as a power outage prep. (Yes it is a witch to be bundled up in the freezing cold to cook and boil some coffee, tea, and hot cocoa water but its better than nothing warm.) Join Buy Nothing and let it be known (this is called networking) that you are looking for a cast off BBQ or camping stove. Free BBQ's come all the quicker if you let it be known you are willing to take them as is without cleaning. HINT: We paint brushed liquid automatic dishwasher detergent on one then took it to the self-operated car wash; we do own a truck. It was not a bargain-basement gas BBQ but it wasn't shiny metal any more.
Thank you, Hope and Larry! You have really changed the way I see money. As soon as I made a list of prioritized goals, I had so much more motivation to pay down debt, cut expenses, and work towards those goals. I cannot thank you enough! ❤

We have eight bank accounts to help keep track of budgets for food, savings, special projects, bills, car (inc. gas and maintenance) plus one each for my spouse and I for personal expenses. It has really helped to parcel the money out each month and thus not running out of money for bills etc.
I have like 11 different accounts but they are my sinking funds mostly. Just makes it easy to transfer the money (auto transfer) on the 1st and I know how much I have to spend if needed. This helps for me since I am a visional person.
All my extra money that I might have I put it in an envelope and put it a month ahead on gas a month ahead on insurance a month ahead on homeowners insurance and that way I have started a month ahead on all those so when they come due, I’ll be a month ahead. and when I get those off field, then I start a month ahead on loans that need to be paid a month ahead on credit cards that need to be paid off. I try to give it all every little thing I can so it can get paid off, but I always do the lowest bills first and then get to the big ones and I just do a snowball effect and roll that money that one and that one over to that one. I don’t see it and it’s not in my hand. I don’t spend it. I check my budget every day to see if it’s on point to where I want it to be to make sure that money is for that money should be. I checked the bank every day to make sure I’ve got money in the bank and then I’ll write down everything I’ve spent that week, that was not on the budget list and then know how much money I spent on that and check the ones that you weren’t supposed to spend. I’m making a you go shopping don’t put anything on that list. It’s not need.
I just need $100,000 to pay off ALL debt... don't quite make that in a year but gosh that'd be nice to make and just be able to pay it off!! Really really want to try to pay that in 4or5 years then no more loans! . . . student home vehicle & we had to put a sewer line in... 😢 I don't think that's too bad considering we're a family of 9 and don't have many wants!

What are your thoughts on bank closures? Do you prefer savings banks, credit unions, gold/silver, bitcoins or a buried tincan of dollars in your garden?
I hate to sound like your HS English teacher, but much of this sounds like double negative, "don't not do this." Wouldn't it be more grammatically correct to say, "Do this?"
For any kind of school supplies… look through September (yes after kids are back in school) because I’ve noticed that’s when they usually hit rock bottom prices.

Any suggestions for on demand hot water heater? Or hot water heaters with timers?
Hi just found your channel. I have a budget. Check. Question: how many bank accounts do you need for bill $, spending $, emergency fund $, etc.?? 😮

I have a friend who recently paid $308 on a discover credit card. $303 went to interest. Absolutely criminal & pitiful.
I don't think that's too bad considering we're a family of 9 and don't have many wants!

I made a mistake, drop uninsured motorist and I was attacked by hit and run.
Health insurance increased
Taxes increased
House insurance increased
None of these apply to me.
Our auto insurance went up $160 for 6 months. No accidents, no tickets for over 30 years. We are paying for uninsured motorists in our state.
My mom found five dollars in a purse from the free store.
I found a used syringe in mine
Oh, oh, no one here.
What are your thoughts on bank closures? Do you prefer savings banks, credit unions, gold/silver, bitcoins or a buried tincan of dollars in your garden?

Praying your good Victor. Home, with someone there now.🙏💞🙏
I hate to sound like your HS English teacher, but much of this sounds like double negative, "don't not do this." Wouldn't it be more grammatically correct to say, "Do this?"
For any kind of school supplies… look through September (yes after kids are back in school) because I’ve noticed that’s when they usually hit rock bottom prices.
